8th Feb 2026 (23 days ago)Terrible experience purchasing a house through this company. The Woman we dealt with who we believe is possibly a partner repeatedly didn’t find answers to our questions, it seemed as if it were a constant battle throughout, she also came across false and over the top. As far as the owner of the company goes one meeting was enough for us. Occasionally we spoke with other employees who were always friendly and efficient, shame the same can’t be said for management.
20th Nov 2025 (15 weeks ago)We are still mid missives, moving towards exchange of contract day, but so far, it's all been good. I was selling on behalf of my brother with dementia, but they were very understanding and helpful. Advertising etc was good - it was not an easy property to sell, but they did it. All communications have been clear and good. I only did 4 stars for value for money as we are yet to see what the final costs will be. Nonetheless, as I live far away, it was important to have someone deal with everything, swiftly, simply and with clarity.

11th Feb 2026 (20 days ago)I used Bannerman Burke Properties LTD in late 2025, The property went live on all the online platforms on a Wednesday, They arranged 5 viewings on the Thursday and Friday - and i received two really good offers the following Monday. The online portal is up-to-date and kept me informed of the progress from start to finish. Lisa and Tony are a great team, and would recommend them to everyone.
22nd Jan 2026 (6 weeks ago)Didn't feel the advert was informative of selling points. Seems very generic amd nothing personal. Also photos did not do property justice. But in a small area he knows what he doing and yes I would recommend him as he just seemed like a friend.
27th Feb 2024 (2 years ago)Our overall experience was totally unsatisfactory. We never received a single enquiry, phone call or any other contact of any kind. We therefore instructed Taits to take our house of the market as we were totally disalusioned with the entire situation, especially as our offer for the house we fancied was accepted on condition that we recieved offers for ours. We have therefore advised Taits of our dissatisfaction and we have now decided to stay put. As they say in live, you live and learn. ??????

23rd Sep 2025 (23 weeks ago)If you’re looking for an estate agent that is proactive and communicates well, I would strongly recommend avoiding Edwin Thompson Galashiels. I sold a commercial property through them, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve had with an agent. From the very beginning, communication was poor, and it never improved throughout the process. I later discovered that the buyer’s experience was just as frustrating as mine, which speaks volumes about how this office is run. Unfortunately, the company’s reputation is being badly let down by an agent on their team.

16th Jan 2024 (2 years ago)Very poor, appear to have overlooked important documents in our missives which we now have to pay for on the sale of our purchase. You pay a solicitor good money to attend to these details. On being made aware of this " not our problem anymore" was the general theme. Tread carefully and make sure they're doing everything they say they're doing.

18th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)If you would like your property grossly under valued with a poor sale's team. Or even a valuation that isn't worth the paper it's written on. I highly recommend using DM hall. Disastrous experience in both selling and valuing 2 seperate property's.

The team was attentive, helpful and professional in every interaction. Agents Alicja & Nicola were very proactive & responsive throughout the application process, patiently answering our queries and also following up with us at regular intervals. The viewing was great as well, led by agent Debbie who explained the details of the property well.- This agent doesn't have any reviews

The service was excellent throughout and Paddy guided us through the purchase with clarity and good judgement, which made the process feel smooth and well managed.<br><br>Professional, responsive and knowledgeable about the local market. If we were to sell in the future, Paton & Co would be our first call.
