24th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)This agent requires sixteen weeks.There wasn't communication after the contract was signed. The property was on the market, but it was the twelfth week before anyone enquired. Could not locate agents window on the high street. They do not use professional photographers, which was definitely a mistake. The agent works alternate Saturdays, but never informed me beforehand, and suggested I didn't tell him I would be away. Unsure of the question as he did agree to conducting the viewings. One viewer was due to come on a Saturday, but never showed. It's possible she tried to contact,but got no reply. It's the same response I got when I rang twice on that Saturday. He got the keys along with instructions to the alarm, but still managed to set it off. He does not come over too well, and can't say it's the right career choice.

16th Jul 2026 (13 days ago)After a very bad experience with Connells and several wasted months we decided to go with Skitts Wednesbury and it was the best decision we made. Tanya and her team were fantastic and despite the house having already been on the market a while they sold it really quickly and at asking price. Sadly a few months later the sale fell through jeopardising not only our onward purchase but also a place for our son at our chosen secondary school. We were quite distraught but Tanya and Clare were so supportive and reassuring. They pulled out all the stops and within 24 hours of re-listing the house we had 18 viewings penciled in for the weekend. We had 3 offers in by Monday morning at asking price and above which meant we didn't loose our dream home. Clare became our rock through the completion process and took so much of our anxiety and worries away. We cant thank them enough. We're not planning on moving again any time soon but to anyone who is id whole heartedly recommend them.
23rd May 2026 (10 weeks ago)In my humble opinion my house was fairly easy to sell so didn't take long and got near my asking price. Albeit Lovetts did pretty pretty well at this stage.

21st Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)Rented a mould infested property with EPC rating E and it was so cold and energy consuming yet they increased the rent not minding what we were going through. When we complained, they took zero responsibility and Emma blamed our breathing for the mould. We moved out and they requested part of our deposit(still contesting that with DPS) even when we caused zero damage to the property. They are simply unsympathetic and all they care about is money. I genuinely feel for whoever will rent the property I left because they usually use paint to cover the mould and you won’t notice till you start living in the house. Please check the EPC rating of their property you want to rent and completely AVOID D AND E!<br><br>EDIT: DPS gave them nothing and returned all my deposit to me. After investigation, they saw it was pure fraudulent exploitation to ask for part of my deposit for black spots in a mould house I didn’t cause.
17th May 2025 (1 year ago)Shelley at Home4 was excellent. Within a few days of the board going up we had 22 viewings and was sold very quickly after They informed me by text the dates and times of each viewing. They even helped me with my technical issues.
17th May 2026 (10 weeks ago)They were really efficient in everything. They did the photographs that they had taken first class. We managed to sell our property within a week of having it put live.

8th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)We dealt with Matthew Irvine from day one, our first sale fell through so it was a drawn out transaction (5 months) but we found Matthew responsive and helpful throughout, we needed more detailed measurements of the house and although we were committed and would have bought the property in any case, Matthew provided us with a virtual tour which helped alot as we were only able to view once and were buying from Devon. Matthew was approachable and courtious and always responded to our requests for information, so I would say he did a pretty good job with this transaction which was quite stressful for us, we have now relocated and are enjoying our new surroundings :-)

The only contact I had from my agent was to push for the price to be lowered. I decided to list with a dual agent and the property was sold in a few weeks.

25th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I had a completely unprofessional experience with John Shepherd Estate & Letting Agents regarding a rental property in the Gravelly Hill area. On June 23rd, I submitted a viewing request through Rightmove for a flat where I fully met all the pre-qualification criteria mentioned in their listing, including income, move-in date, and tenant profile. Since I received no response, I went in person to their office on June 24th. They confirmed that my request was in their system and told me I would be contacted later that day to arrange a viewing. That call never came. I followed up again by email on June 25th, which was also ignored. Meanwhile, I tried calling multiple times during working hours, but their phone line appears to be permanently down. It always plays a message saying no one is available, with no way to leave a voicemail. This is not only unprofessional, it makes them completely unreachable. To make matters worse, the listing was marked as "out of market" on June 25th without any notice or explanation. I was never informed if the property was let, withdrawn, or if I was being considered at all. No courtesy email, no update, nothing. I made every effort to follow their process, I showed genuine interest, I visited their office, followed up in writing and by phone, and I met all their listed requirements. In return, I received complete silence and zero transparency. This is not just poor service – it is a total lack of respect for applicants. If you are a prospective tenant, I strongly advise caution when dealing with this branch. My experience showed a complete breakdown in professionalism, communication, and basic standards of letting practice.
