Dave carried out the property valuation, along with several other agents and put us at ease with his local market knowledge and his sound property advice. Absolutely amazing and professional service from the whole Apple Property Solutions team. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to sell in the Great Barr area.

15th Sep 2026 (3 days ago)We chose Connells because they are a nationwide estate agent. The agents who came to carry out the valuation and take the photographs were fantastic. However, the agent responsible for conducting the viewings was late, which resulted in a queue of prospective buyers waiting outside the house. As there was no sales board displayed, and the situation was attracting attention from the neighbours, I let the buyers in myself. When the agent did arrive, she spent less than 15 minutes in the property, while we waited outside the house in my car. Furthermore, the buyer of the house wanted to pay us £10,000 directly. This was communicated to us through the agent. I spoke to the buyer but felt very uncomfortable with the situation, so I blocked them and told them to proceed through the proper channels. I found this highly unprofessional, and we should never have been placed in this position.

31st Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)Was with JM for 3 years . In my time with them they Have proven to be incompetent. No inventory just have poorly taken pictures. Switched tenant without my consent and they new tenants destroyed my house. No accountability.

3rd Sep 2026 (15 days ago)A property was listed for rent on the morning of Tuesday 01/09/2026.<br><br>We rang the same morning as soon as senate opened to book a viewing and was told that we were the first to enquire and they would be in touch tomorrow (02/09/2026) as they had only just listed it and that the lady who will be managing the viewings for it is off today.<br><br>Didn’t receive any calls or anything the next day (02/09/2026) as advised, so following day decided to call on the morning (03/09/2026) and said to them we havent been contacted.<br><br>Different lady answered from the initial call, assume this is the lady who is managing the viewings, told us it was fully booked out for viewings and that it was tough luck. She had a terrible attitude towards us on the phone about it too, as though we were making it up!<br><br>Crazy! Absolutely disgusting! We were first in on that listing. We think it’s because we told them we have a young child on the initial call. They can’t discriminate so they accidentally forget you. Don’t use this company, will be looking into further options of complaint with official bodies with how this was handled also.<br><br>Addition to this review -<br><br>What’s even funnier now is that this property is today 03/09/2026 showing as let agreed now.<br><br>Though the supposed viewings that were fully booked are supposed to take place on Saturday 05/09/2026.<br><br>So how is let agreed? How have the relevant checks been made with the tenants of whom it is agreed with in less than one day from listing, and without even doing a viewing yet either?<br><br>Screenshots and timestamps all taken, can’t wait to to take these questionable practices to the ombudsman.

14th Sep 2026 (4 days ago)I would not recommend Oakmans based on my experience.<br><br>I moved out of my property on 28 August 2026 and completed the checkout process properly. I handed my keys back in person at around 9am, the keys were scanned and photographed, and I signed the handover confirmation. I also completed and personally handed in the Deposit Release & Outgoing Services form on the same day.<br><br>Oakmans subsequently confirmed to me in writing that “the handover has been completed.”<br><br>My tenancy deposit is £1,125, and I have still received no clear update about when it will be returned. I have contacted them by email but have not received a response from the deposit team. When I called the office, I was told that deposit matters could not be discussed over the phone.<br><br>What is particularly frustrating is that I have followed the procedures Oakmans themselves provided, yet I am being left without any information about my money.<br><br>The new tenants have already moved into the property, so I expected the checkout and deposit process to be dealt with promptly.<br><br>Very poor communication and customer service. I simply want a clear explanation of the status of my £1,125 deposit and when it will be returned.<br><br>I would strongly recommend keeping written records of everything if you are renting through Oakmans.
