10th Aug 2020 (6 years ago)At the start the relationship was positive and friendly. A for sale board was requested but, never placed. We did not received feedback from the few viewings we had and unsure whether buyer/ viewer suitability checks were carried out - especially at these times with heightened cleaning and sanitising that needs to happen. We also received marketing letters although we were already with them and the claims on them we challenged as this was not reflecting our experiences. Communication was far for acceptable with not following up with promises to call by a certain time/ date and not responding to emails readily. To add to this they wanted us to drop the price of our property when realistically had not done enough to market it. Very disappointing and felt like we lost an amount of time with no progress.

28th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)From my own research and reading reviews etc Peter Lane was going to be my preferred choice of Agent, then after a chance conversation with a neighbour they explained that they were moving house that Peter Lane had sold their property ( No board) I met with Gavin to discuss my sale and my particular circumstance as I dog owner and with a disability I foresaw that viewings might have some challenges, Gavin was fabulous from the offset and we developed a plan with him and his team in mind. The plan worked to the letter and I’d like to think that it was as seamless for the viewers as it was for me, Gavin’s team are a stellar cast and personable, knowledgeable and just so practical and wise. I’ve been kept informed throughout I’ve chosen the best style of communication for me and nothing has been too much trouble or inconvenience. Selling a house requires you to put yourself in a position of trust with the agent and I can honestly say the whole team have completely fulfilled their end of that agreement with bells on lol ?????? I cannot fault them or give areas for improvement.

Carolyn was quick to answer or return any calls and would email if I was unable to answer! I couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you!

25th Apr 2020 (6 years ago)I was really pleased with the service that Sell like new provided me when buying this property. This was my first ever purchase of a property, so i was new to the whole process, but my estate agent maid the process feel easy and not so daunting. If ever i had any questions he was always on call to answer and reassure me.I felt he handled it professionally and worked quickly to get to the completion of the sale. In conclusion, i was very happy with them as my estate agent and would definitely recommend to anyone as they provided an excellent service.

R & H were brilliant in advising very precisely on price, which they got just right, and explaining the process. Their brochure was good. They sold the property for us pre-auction, at above the reserve. They were professional throughout and what was most important, always kept us in touch.
4th Oct 2026 (28 days ago)This was a terrible experience. I was promised it all and receive nothing. I was told there will be bespoke marketing but I just got a right move and Zoopla add and one social media post. No video even though we suggested it. When the property went on Rightmove there was a “glitch” and the exterior photos were not showing. Nor the floor plan or sizes. After almost a week this got fixed. But the ad wasn’t reset. In less than 2 weeks we were recommended to reduce the price based on a property that sold 2 years ago which was over 1,000 sqf smaller. I was told the agreement was 12 weeks but he had noted 20 weeks and never left me a copy of the agreement. When I gave notice suddenly we had interested parties. I had a toddler and 2 indoor cats and 5,000 sqf to tidy up but he always gave me less than 24hrs notice. Communication was almost like non existence. We would have paid him around 26k yet we had an office number and email to communicate with him. Emails took days office number almost never replied. He was always negative about everything. He then bought on a colleague who was a little more active but still the whole experience was stressful and just dragged. We switched agents and even before the ad went live we had a viewing. Definitely not one I will recommend.
