They know their area, turn up when they say they will and charge a fair price for their work; no AI augmented pictures, no weird attempts at scarcity and they are easy to get hold of. They successfully sold my house in a tricky market and managed to keep everything together during a slightly drawn out sales process.
20th Jul 2026 (22 days ago)Laura Dutton - is the lovely lady who has always been keeping in touch with me for anything that is happening to my property. she has also been so helpful thoughtful kind caring person to share if I have any problems with the property that I am renting at. Happy to listen to anything I may have concerns with even if it's something she can't or estate agents help with. but she always helps and advises with best positive feedback.<br>I have been living in this property for almost 10 years now I think! she always keeping me in the loop with anything like maintenance and offer only advice that she can if there is a problem with the property. I feel she does go above and beyond to maintaining tenants are all happy in the properties they are in. I appreciate how much she has been the only person keeping me in the loop with stuff because I dont always get to know what is going on before. So big thanks to Laura Dutton

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

10th May 2022 (4 years ago)1st Choice a friendly family run business always maintained excellent communication which I really liked, if I had any problem weekday, weekend, or on a holiday, Kelly would reply back to my messages for support very quickly and same day. When I moved in to the property it was fully refurbished to an excellent standard. One time during winter I had a problem with my boiler with no heating for a few days. I made one call to 1st Choice and Mark dropped off some electric heaters, untill we got it fixed through Mear's. Anyone looking for property to rent then I would definatley recommend 1st Choice.
