4th Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)I advise everybody to avoid Carters Letting Agents and local Landlord William Bruce. This year I was seriously ill for six months, resulting in emergency surgery to save my life. During this time they issued me a section 21, and I moved into a new property the day after I was released from hospital afyer being there for 4 weeks, still with two surgical drains attached, and incredibly limited mobility. Being fully aware of this information they went after my deposit and have today been awarded just over 1000 pounds, after the section 21 cost me nearly 3 grand, and rinsed the rest of my savings. During the time I was in hospital they issued notice to my landlord without my consent and before my new property had been confirmed. I questioned this whilst I was in hospital and was told 'not to worry' despite this being a move that could have made me and my 15 year old son homeless, and given on a date that left me no time to have the property cleaned properly. They have made no allowances for my very serious illness desite being fully informed, and created extra stress and financial worry. In the meantime the house has been renovated for sale, and I believe my deposit is paying for that. Their behaviour towards me after 5 years of tenancy has been disgusting, and they have used my vunarability as a tool to extract more money. Apparently this landlord owns numbers of houses in wolverton. Beware.

Correspondence is mainly via email and I can be assured that any queries I have will be answered within 24 hours or less. I find it refreshing to have such dealings. Having always rented properties, I have met some unsavory agents along the way. It is a relief to deal with a company who are not just about working with the client (Landlord) but also about giving the tenant the best service possible too. I would highly recommend Stratfords to anyone looking to either rent or buy a property.
13th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)Avoid! We had a terrible experience with this agency / Terry. The house was filthy when we first moved in. There were loads of items left over from the previous tenant, including a broken freezer underneath the stairs which contained putrid defrosted fishy water in one of the freezer trays. It took weeks/months for any repair requests to be seen to and for the items left behind to be removed. When our tenancy came to an end they had the audacity to attempt to take a huge portion away from our holding deposit. We used an external dispute resolution service and ultimately won and avoided losing upwards of £400. After being exemplary tenants and having to put up with such a shocking service during our tenancy we were adamant they wouldn’t receive a single penny from our holding deposit. I would have rather lost the money than have it go to Under One Roof. I strongly suggest to avoid this “agency”.

Once again, I have been highly satisfied with the friendly, professional way they have dealt with the sale.

1st Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)Overall experience was great. Original valuation was quite over what I expected but the housing market near the end of 2023 was difficult to predict. Mo and Joe were both very supportive and had great communication in regards to the sale.
16th Dec 2023 (19 weeks ago)Quite disappointed with the services received. After that have presented us with an incorrect solicitor quote we chose them and we had to pay more by the end of the process. Then when we had to go to the house and make some measurements, the agent was 30 min late and arrive with no keys of the properties. And on the date of the completion, the branch manager, who was our point of contact throughout the whole process, decided to take the day off. Not recommending.

Advice given whenever asked for, and always replied to questions. Looked after all the house viewings, and followed up after each viewing. Once an offer was accepted Michael Graham then chased this through, with other Agents in the chain, solicitors and my buyer. They also helped with finding a solicitor and remover. Many thanks. Stuart

24th Apr 2024 (2 days ago)Warning to all sellers. If you believe that time is money which is something that you cannot buy, then DO NOT use Urban&Rural. GetAgent recommended me Alexander Lawrence and Urban&Rural when I decided to sell my house. Fortunately, I did my own searching to counter check which was the best safe hands. I made the right choice of Alexander Lawrence; took me only 2 weeks time from valuation to sold, STD with a resonable satisfactory price. Otherwise, I would fall into the "play games" of Urban&Rural when my house was on market. I recognised the "play games" when I became a homebuyer who gave offers and requested for viewings. The manager presented to me that he was very keen to help in the negotiation process initially over the phone. However, when the offers were not what he agreed with, he told me that the sellers did not reply or he just kept me waiting. If sellers using Urban&Rural found that your houses have not been given any offer after being on the market for more then a week, I would suggest you to market you houses with the second estate agent, no more sole agent, and you would know how well Urban&Rural is sinerely performing for the sellers' sake.
19th Apr 2024 (7 days ago)Inspired were on the ball from day one. We had plenty of viewings and I was always kept up to fate with feedback and how the interest was in the property. I am very happy I chose them as my agents as they did what my previous ones didn't and got my property sold within 2-3 months.
31st Oct 2023 (25 weeks ago)Main positive was that the fees were payable only once the property was sold. However, pressure tactics were used which I felt came from mustard agents not the buyers, e.g. completion must be completed by such a date or the buyer pulls out. These ultimatums proved to be meaningless but caused considerable stress and inconvenience.

They were very professional, highly knowledgeable about the local market, helpful and very supportive. Always available to answer our questions and provide us with all the information we needed. Nick, Sam and Tom made us feel like we are their only clients, even though we knew they had many at the same time. The team always had our best interests in mind and made sure we get the best possible outcome. We highly recommend Alexander Lawrence to anyone looking for real estate agents. They will make your home buying/selling process simple and comfortable and stress free. Big Thank you to all at Alexander Lawrence.
29th Mar 2024 (28 days ago)I can't recommend Dema and The Private Realtor enough, not only did she succeed where other high street agents did not, but ran a tight and very efficient process which led to a successful completion. The Private Realtor actually sells your house, it does not just show it, and there is a big difference, especially at higher price points - and this goes to the promotional videos (not just photos) - to the full service as well. This is how a house should be sold - with happy buyers and sellers. Ellerby Street, Fulham SW6.

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry

When I moved in to the property it was fully refurbished to an excellent standard. One time during winter I had a problem with my boiler with no heating for a few days. I made one call to 1st Choice and Mark dropped off some electric heaters, untill we got it fixed through Mear's. Anyone looking for property to rent then I would definatley recommend 1st Choice.
