14th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Tried selling a flat with them and it was a drawn out and painful process. It lasted more than a year before it fell through. Going with their contractors and solicitors was the biggest mistakes I made in the sale. I thought if I went with their recommendations, they will facilitate the process, but no. One was dishonest and the other one completely incompetent. Stuart Edward was initially responsive, but then when run into problems months down the line, Lindsey stopped answering calls and the boss Stuart did not call back when messages left. I was left on my own to deal with all the technicality and mess. It was so horrible and stressful, I do not wish it on anyone. Two stars was being very generous as they were ok initially. I went with them because I wanted to support family business. Never again.
2nd Mar 2019 (7 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible

2nd Oct 2026 (23 days ago)Michael was exceptional throughout our experience of putting our house on the market, he was prompt, thorough and approachable. He is knowledgable and professional, would highly recommend to anyone selling their property.
13th Feb 2026 (8 mo. ago)We had quite a stressful start to our selling our property but Gordon Brown were very good keeping us updated and chasing things. For the amount of times we were emailing and ringing they were extremely patient and was a pleasure dealing with the whole team.
16th Oct 2026 (9 days ago)I’ve had a really lovely experience with Swift Move Lettings and couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone. A special mention to Tracey, who has been absolutely lovely throughout the whole process. She’s such a kind, bubbly woman who made everything feel so much easier and less stressful. She was approachable, friendly and genuinely lovely to deal with, which made such a difference, especially when finding our first home. Thank you to Tracey and everyone at Swift Move Lettings for helping us get our house. We’re so excited to start this new chapter, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a property! ??
15th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Can’t fault them one single bit.
19th Feb 2026 (8 mo. ago)They offered advice on valuation that matched our expectations, they put it on the market at the value we wanted. We had viewings constantly whilst it was on the market. They advised us to keep taking viewings after offer accepted until we were sale agreed. This resulted in a higher bid, so it was worth it. Only negative was the amount of Photoshop used in photos.
17th Apr 2026 (6 mo. ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.
25th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Great experience from start to finish
4th Jun 2026 (20 weeks ago)A massive thank you to Carla and her team for selling my house, it was a long and difficult journey which Carla travelled with us, it took an awful lot of time and hard work on Hegarties behalf to get me to the end. Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.- 15th Mar 2026 (7 mo. ago)All good, communication, pleasant, helpful staff.
14th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I used Collier to sale my late father’s home, they were incredibly quick in everything they did and kept good communication with me being a distance seller. They made the whole experience a lot easier to deal with.
20th Feb 2026 (8 mo. ago)Useful to be invited to comment! I/we would say that it's never good to be provided with false information. Nor to suffer broken promises, or to be introduced to a buyer who definitely isn't going to be able to buy, and an agent is well aware. These things cause real damage and distress to a seller. I/we definitely don't recommend this business, it caused provable harm.
13th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)They are the worst house agent in Sunderland they we take your deposit and not remitted it to DP in other for them not to give you back your deposit without you damage anything in the apartment when you are leaving... I advice you use your deposit when leaving as house rent if not you will not get it back...

1st Feb 2020 (6 years ago)We found Your Move - Houghton-le-Spring to be a very professional and efficient estate agency. From first contact, the valuation, photography, brochure preparation, first viewing and receipt of an offer for full asking price took less than 3 weeks. Sales Manager Rachel Smiles was especially helpful in giving advice on content of the sales brochure and her friendly staff in arranging the 2 viewings by first interested party. We would highly recommend this agency to value and sell your property quickly at its true market value.
7th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)Mariz was Very professional , polite and helpful. Always available to help and support.
