8th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)Instructed Peter Heron to market by 2 bed apartment. Initially there were very few viewings and when I rang to query this I was told that I had it on the market at too high a price and asked if I wanted to reduce the asking price! At this point in time my property had only been on the market for less than a month!! I persevered and after a couple of months did reduce the asking price but still not much interest. The final straw was them marketing the flat next door to me in the same block for £10k less than my property. No courtesy heads up on this, and when I expressed my unhappiness they weren't interested, so I gave notice to remove my property from the market. I did look into whether this was a conflict of interests and apparently it can be viewed as such. Amazingly I started getting viewings, but these viewers were also viewing the lower priced neighbouring flat. Problem now was the inability of Peter Heron to obtain any feedback from these viewers except for a small minority, despite Peter Heron staff actually providing accompanied viewings for these viewers. That flat has now sold as it was reduced by a further £10k (landlord owned so able to take a lower price) so I assume they were able to gather feedback successfully for that property, and annoyingly when I went to retrieve my keys from them and mentioned that it was impossible to sell my flat with such a big price difference they were again uninterested and didn't even tell me that the neighbouring flat had been sold that day. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Lots of support during the preparation for marketing, leveraging their trade contacts to get things done quickly. Clear advice of options during the price and subsequent negotiations. Staff always friendly, very prompt responses to queries, good handover between staff so that people always knew what they were talking about. A really great experience.

You have been instrumental in helping us buy our first home together, and nothing was ever a bother, from quickly returning our queries with calls and emails to chasing things up with the solicitors. 7th May 2026 (19 days ago)The situation was an urgent one. I needed a place as swift as possible to move in and NGU took the task on by introducing me to a property and arraigning a viewing. Their actions eventually resulted in the tenancy agreement and a contract being signed. Everyone on the team was awesome however, one person was outstanding, Shakil. Shakil was there for me through and through. From the first day of the enquiry till I moved in to the property and even after. I would recommend NGU to friends and family whenever the need arises.
