8th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)Instructed Peter Heron to market by 2 bed apartment. Initially there were very few viewings and when I rang to query this I was told that I had it on the market at too high a price and asked if I wanted to reduce the asking price! At this point in time my property had only been on the market for less than a month!! I persevered and after a couple of months did reduce the asking price but still not much interest. The final straw was them marketing the flat next door to me in the same block for £10k less than my property. No courtesy heads up on this, and when I expressed my unhappiness they weren't interested, so I gave notice to remove my property from the market. I did look into whether this was a conflict of interests and apparently it can be viewed as such. Amazingly I started getting viewings, but these viewers were also viewing the lower priced neighbouring flat. Problem now was the inability of Peter Heron to obtain any feedback from these viewers except for a small minority, despite Peter Heron staff actually providing accompanied viewings for these viewers. That flat has now sold as it was reduced by a further £10k (landlord owned so able to take a lower price) so I assume they were able to gather feedback successfully for that property, and annoyingly when I went to retrieve my keys from them and mentioned that it was impossible to sell my flat with such a big price difference they were again uninterested and didn't even tell me that the neighbouring flat had been sold that day. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

You have been incredibly supportive, professional, warm and kind. You have been instrumental in helping us buy our first home together, and nothing was ever a bother, from quickly returning our queries with calls and emails to chasing things up with the solicitors. Excellent communication throughout the whole process - we really appreciate everything you've done. Can't recommend Northwood North Shields enough! 7th May 2026 (19 days ago)The situation was an urgent one. I needed a place as swift as possible to move in and NGU took the task on by introducing me to a property and arraigning a viewing. Their actions eventually resulted in the tenancy agreement and a contract being signed. Everyone on the team was awesome however, one person was outstanding, Shakil. Shakil was there for me through and through. From the first day of the enquiry till I moved in to the property and even after. I would recommend NGU to friends and family whenever the need arises.

I would recommend them to anyone buying, selling or letting as their knowledge and experience along with a personal yet professional approach and advice was second to none.

19th Feb 2026 (14 weeks ago)They offered advice on valuation that matched our expectations, they put it on the market at the value we wanted. We had viewings constantly whilst it was on the market. They advised us to keep taking viewings after offer accepted until we were sale agreed. This resulted in a higher bid, so it was worth it. Only negative was the amount of Photoshop used in photos.

3rd May 2026 (23 days ago)Phoned up on a Wednesday afternoon to view a property in Newcastle and was told that the only available slot was noon on the Friday. My husband and I rearranged another appointment, took the day off work and travelled the 1.5 hour journey to Newcastle (we explained at time of booking we weren’t local). 15 mins before scheduled time we got a phone call from the agent to say they hadn’t had a confirmation from the vendor but they were usually in. But guess what - agent turned up and couldn’t get access as there was no one there. Didn’t really apologise - just explained that they thought they had an offer but it fell through so they didn’t confirm our viewing. Totally unprofessional.
