30th Mar 2023 (3 years ago)Signed for a no fee deal including legal fees. Paid £200 up front. The buyer of my property dragged on for months resulting in me losing my house purchase. Dowena then refused to pay the legal fees despite the agreement costing me over £400 in fees for nothing. Very immoral company.

14th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)Tried selling a flat with them and it was a drawn out and painful process. It lasted more than a year before it fell through. Going with their contractors and solicitors was the biggest mistakes I made in the sale. I thought if I went with their recommendations, they will facilitate the process, but no. One was dishonest and the other one completely incompetent. Stuart Edward was initially responsive, but then when run into problems months down the line, Lindsey stopped answering calls and the boss Stuart did not call back when messages left. I was left on my own to deal with all the technicality and mess. It was so horrible and stressful, I do not wish it on anyone. Two stars was being very generous as they were ok initially. I went with them because I wanted to support family business. Never again.- 17th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We were assisted by Caroline Ryan, who proved to be exceptionally efficient and helpful. She responded promptly to my inquiries and made a significant effort to ensure that the process ran smoothly. I am very pleased with the overall experience at Dowen, particularly with Caroline's assistance. It was an outstanding experience.

19th Feb 2026 (17 weeks ago)They offered advice on valuation that matched our expectations, they put it on the market at the value we wanted. We had viewings constantly whilst it was on the market. They advised us to keep taking viewings after offer accepted until we were sale agreed. This resulted in a higher bid, so it was worth it. Only negative was the amount of Photoshop used in photos.

17th Apr 2026 (9 weeks ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.
4th Jun 2026 (15 days ago)A massive thank you to Carla and her team for selling my house, it was a long and difficult journey which Carla travelled with us, it took an awful lot of time and hard work on Hegarties behalf to get me to the end. Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.
16th May 2023 (3 years ago)I was impressed with the updates I had and the choices I was given. Because the property had a number of enquiries an open house was organised which I thought was an excellent idea.
14th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I used Collier to sale my late father’s home, they were incredibly quick in everything they did and kept good communication with me being a distance seller. They made the whole experience a lot easier to deal with.
20th Feb 2026 (17 weeks ago)Useful to be invited to comment! I/we would say that it's never good to be provided with false information. Nor to suffer broken promises, or to be introduced to a buyer who definitely isn't going to be able to buy, and an agent is well aware. These things cause real damage and distress to a seller. I/we definitely don't recommend this business, it caused provable harm.

He knows the local market very well and his social media presence is strong which adds value to his ability to get viewings and ultimately sales.
