4th Apr 2024 (29 days ago)Just drove 30 miles through traffic to get to meet them as arranged for 5 30 ,my wife drove not quiet as far around 22 miles got there bang on time to meet my wife at the property waited till 5 55 got a text off Lydia to see if I'm still attending the viewing I texted back to say I've been hear since 5 30 as you arranged don't no were to park my wife as had a argument with a resident as we was in her parking space (not a great start ) but there was no one to meet us there to tell us anything anyway it got to just after six and I tried the buzzer on 31 the loom and the guy there was renting and said no one had rang him to arrange a viewing and the place was a bit of a mess so I would have to go back to mai son has

30th Sep 2022 (1 year ago)JF Hale valued the property for marketing at £395k .I had an independent valuation by Jones Surveyors done at £430k high to £400k lowest.I instructed JF Hale to market at £430k and the property was sold within a week at £427,500.JF Hale would have cost me money had I not taken independent advice from Jones Surveyors.

5th Jan 2024 (17 weeks ago)Having recently moved into our new home in Lymm, we would like to thank Banners Estate Agent for all their help and support during what is inevitably a stressful time. From showing us around properties, right through to making sure the purchase process kept moving along steadily, Banners staff were always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and diligent in their support. They played a key role liaising between the various parties. On moving day they contacted us immediately the purchase had been finalised, and we were able to collect the keys from them a short time later. We were also especially pleased that Banners continued to help even after the sale was complete: On moving day they contacted the seller for us with a query about the shower, and they were happy to take and pass on post for the previous owner that arrived after we moved in. Very helpful and impressive; we would not hesitate to recommend Banners as an excellent, reliable and friendly estate agent.

19th Nov 2023 (24 weeks ago)I recently had the displeasure of having Phillip Ellis manage my two properties, I'm compelled to share my profoundly unsatisfactory experience. Having initially connected with a staff member at a networking event, the reality of working with this company fell far short of expectations. The litany of unprofessionalism began with the inexcusable allowance of early tenant access to one property, a blatant violation of the contract terms. In the other property, a shocking lack of property inspections persisted for an entire year, leaving my investment at the mercy of neglect. Critical paperwork was not only mishandled but also lost, contributing to a pervasive lack of communication from this company. Despite my persistent efforts to address these issues, there was no acknowledgment of fault or a hint of an apology. To say that Phillip Ellis fell short of their promises would be an understatement. The level of unprofessionalism exhibited throughout my dealings with them has been beyond poor. I cannot emphasise enough the sheer frustration and disappointment this company has caused. In conclusion, my encounter with Phillip Ellis stands out as one of the worst business experiences. Their complete lack of accountability, awful communication, and unfulfilled promises make them a company to avoid at all costs. Spare yourself the headache and explore alternative options for your property management needs
14th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)We were about 5 minutes late for a viewing because of the traffic when I managed to reach them on phone. I apologised and said we'd be there soon. They said the agent only waits 10 minutes, so they have to speak to him. After another 5 minutes they called me back and said the agent already left for another viewing. My wife was literally next to the house but as no-one was there,it was dark already and she didn't know which house it is without any lights. I told them it took us around 1.5 hours to get there with our 1yo baby and I don't think this is fair. We'd been still in the property even if we were on time. The agent finally came back and showed the house. He said he already changed his shoes as he was wearing a flip-flop because he went went home.

21st Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)James you are simply the best! Our sale fell through on 2 previous occasions and we took our house off the market for a short period. We came across James quite by accident. We were very impressed with the way he worked (the way we wanted our previous agent to work but wouldn’t) and we elected to use James even though we were well out of his area. The marketing James arranged was excellent and following the open day an offer was accepted. James personally did the viewings and 2nd viewings. James was available throughout the whole process by phone and whatsapp – keeping us updated throughout and even did the handover on completion. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer more helpful friendly person to guide us through this stressful time which was completed less than 12 weeks from selling. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending James Swithenbank to anyone selling their home. Thank you James
