Sarah has been great with our move. The up to date information and reminders really help keep you at ease with the transition. I never felt out of the loop and whenever I had a question Sarah or one of her colleagues was able to quickly reply and give me the help I needed. Fantastic service, definitely recommend gatekeeper.
First of all this is a general review of what we experienced with Gatekeeper agency I'm not making referrals to any agents as most of them are nice and friendly but they are not there to make you better they are there to make money from you.
1.Comunication with tenants it can be improved by providing them a phone number which is free to use and contact the estate agent
2.We didn't felt supported with agents smiling and temporarily emphasizing with us without taking real actions to show their support
3.There has been and end of tenancy fee taken from our deposit early than at the end of tenancy, without anyone notifying. We had to ask and find about it and the explanation was 'anyway that fee is taken from the deposit at the end of tenancy'.
4. We had 3 inspections over an year and a half without any issues at all but at the end of the contract we had money deducted from our deposit for silly reasons like grass has grown into the flowers, CO2 sensors not working or dirty oven.
5.All the reasons for deduction we have not been present when the inspection has been done, so we cannot verify anything as the agency didn't provide any photos with how the garden has been 'repaired' or how the oven is looking after being cleaned and where the new CO2 sensors has been installed and replaced. Not to mention that nothing was new in that house and they were expecting to be like new.
6.What I think is that they are applying this issues to many as possible tenants trying to deduct money from their deposit.
7. In the end doesn't matter how hard you are looking for the house or place you are renting from Gatekeeper there allways be issues raised at end of tenancy to deduct some money. This is all about really for them or Gatekeeper ''money''.
In the end I would like to mention that this is a honest review about what we experienced with this agency, I don't know if there are others better there.
As first time buyers we were a little overwhelmed. The team here helped layout the process and charlotte kept in touch making sure the transaction ia moving ahead in a timely manner and offering assistance where required.
Very disappointing to say the least. Arrived at a viewing yesterday. No Agent arrived. called the office this morning and was advised the agent would call me back. No phone call. Called the office again to be advised the agent was unable to get hold of the current occupier so didn't attend the viewing. Oh silly me to expect a phone call or an email. Booking was made the Saturday before for Tuesday evening viewing. My fault apparently as they didn't sent a confirmation text. Is this how new clients are treated? well i certainly won't be dealing with them again.
I've had dealings with both lettings and sales and I must say Pauline and the team have always been very professional and proactive. An absolute pleasure.
I made a call to arrange viewing for a potential property to rent. The agent wants to meet up with the applicants in person arranging the viewing. Fair enough but they refused because the agency wanted to bring my partner over form Ireland and see both of us in person to arrange a viewing. Why this bureaucracy?
Seems they have lot of time to waste. . Please consider reviewing your policy and treat each cases by its own merit.
I thoroughly recommend George David Agents as sellers of my mothers bungalow, especially Philip who followed the sale through from start to finish, kept us up to date, always returned telephone calls Excellent. 110% as Agents
Terrible experience with this circus of so called estate agent's. Had to chase them for information, found some staff reluctant to help and forget about call back's when you have requested them!
Great overall experience, unfortunately all happened during the pandemic but they were really quick in getting the things sorted from their side. My seller was not so proactive and waited for his solicitors to get all the answers, this way in order to exchange unchained house took us 5 months nearly and it would've been longer if I would've not start a search on my own persuading everyone to be more proactive. Rachel Ciaburro was really helpful all the time keeping me updated and contacting the parts, as well as Andrew Kerr in the first part.
Thank you everyone not mentioned from Michael Anthony.
Valued my mother's property at 335.000 had 2 other valuations at 400.000.guess who i wouldn't recommend
Very professional, proactive, customer friendly. From the get go Chancellors in Aylesbury have been incredible, making my first time moving a stress free one!! Thanks again, David.
Sharon@ chancellors is the most unprofessional person I have ever met, deal with her if you want sarky stupid time wasting emails, to have your name mis-spelt a million times on correspondence and if you want your business discussed with potential vendors/ buyers. Everyone else there is lovely.
