The team have been amazing in supporting us and providing updates and information through out the process! we have used Gascoigne-Pees for the last 2 house sales and one purchase and they have always been professional, helpful and I couldn't fault them! They are a great team of professionals that will take you through every step of the process keeping you sane when things are stressful and helping you get to where you need to be as painlessly as possible! Brilliant to work with, can not praise them enough
I have literally had the worst experience with Gascoigne Pees. Firstly we viewed the property with Carly. We wanted to take the place but advised her that my partner was self employed and in his first year so could not provide a tax return just yet. She advised us that there is always a way around it. So we decided to pay the £500 fees.
Once it came to the referencing, it turns out that my partner wouldn’t get through without either a guarantor or a tax return according to Carly after reassuring us we would be okay.
So we finally find a guarantor as per her request, but when we call back she said the landlord didn’t want a guarantor - so why did she even suggest it in the first place?
Throughout this time she was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. We felt like we had been misled.
Finally thanks to chris, our garentor gets accepted. But this was a lot of hassle already!
On the date of moving in, Gemma met us at the property and stated that she had checked the smoke alarms. Then our guarantor signed the papers and said she had turned the heating on and left without giving us any information about the property.
Within the space of 30 minutes we realised that there was no power at all, we called the Branch however we were told Gemma was still on her way back so we had to wait for her to get back. So we spent about an hour trying to figure out how to turn the electrics on.
When we finally receive a phone call back, she just tells us that we are on a Pay as you go electric meter. This is not stated in the documents received (it states we are with spark electric!) and we were never informed of the electrics being on a Pay as you go meter even when inspecting the property because that could have potentially swayed our decision to rent the property.
The electrics should have been checked prior to us entering the property as well as being informed. Furthermore, we had to take the Pay as you go meter out of debt (emergency) from the previous person in the property. I personally think this is extremely unfair, and isn’t a nice welcome having to pay off someone else’s meter before even living in the property! We have not had ANY reimbursement of the funds.
The service that we have had since the beginning with Gascoigne pees has been extremely poor and unhelpful, and I can state that we were never treated this badly at our previous estate agents.
I have dealt with Connells for many years now, initially with lettings and more recently with the Sales Team who are extremely friendly and very helpful.
I have mainly dealt with Adrian and Zoe who are amazing. They are extremely professional and have gone above and beyond to help juggle viewings with tenants in situ. Nothing is too much trouble. I would certainly recommend them.
Christie is very rude trades person..Stay away from that Agency, they will rip you off and do all sorts of nasty things.
One of not many independent estate agent in Basingstoke who it worth every penny and recommendation. Never feel pressured by them to agree to anything suggested ( from price to order of the pictures on the website) , appears their motto is to keep customer happy dont push to get contact just assist and let them make decision, whole team very efficient.
We had lived in our house for 20 years, so it was a big decision to move. Jamie and the Team at Belvoir were superb at every step. We chose Belvoir because they were professional, understood the market and had a great selling strategy. They gave us excellent advice and supported us through all the difficult times. The most impressive thing was that the Belvoir staff worked as a Team, all pulling together to sell our house. We would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of selling their house.
Would never even consider using this agency again. Tell you one thing, and mean something different. Their incompetence in communication and are completely useless and unfriendly. As for the lady that showed me round the property well.... Total unprofessional. Thanks for wasting my time.
EweMove has proven themselves again.
We recently bought a 3 bedroom house .
Mark Holmes was the sellers agent.
He is a great guy, proven professional, and helped us to be chosen for the buy of the property (there was another offer).
Through all the process we kept in touch, and he helped us (guided us) through the process.
We made a deal in record time , I would say.
Altogether a very good experience of buying our first home, and Mark was great at his job and helped both sides (buyer and seller).
We definitely recommend EveMove to anyone who is either seller or buyer.
You can't go wrong with them.
Generally the agent was good though he encouraged a price drop.
Not so impressed with the solicitors they recommended. Though they did improve, with a change of staff, towards completion. Offer to completion was too long at about 3 months. I still don’t know what caused the delay?
