Unfortunately I can't recommend Belvoir. After an impressive initial presentation on how they would market my property, communication dropped off sharply once I signed the contract. I had to email them multiple times whenever I wanted an update or needed to chase an action from their end. When I received an offer I considered too low and rejected it, the branch manager rolled her eyes at me - an unacceptable way to treat a client. The due diligence on proof of funds was also poorly handled. I was told funds were available, then that they were in Russia, then that they had been in the UK all along. I'm still not sure whether this was incompetence or a cover-up. From offer acceptance to exchange and completion took six months, and progress only happened when I threatened to pull the sale and move to another agent. I can see that Belvoir has received many positive reviews, and I'm glad others have had good experiences. This has simply not been mine as a vendor. I have no doubt Belvoir will have their own response to this - but it is my honest account.... Read more

Kenyons in Carshalton is honestly the worst estate agent I have had to deal with. Having worked in estate agents for 4 years I believe that the treatment of an applicant vs a landlord is paramount and shows the true culture of the business. Being an applicant in a situation that was a little different then the norm ie we know the owner of the flat and it’s about to come on the market and we really wanted to rent it and had spoken to the owner, I popped in to chat to someone when in the shop and after explaining the situation and leaving my details I can only describe the feeling I got which was one being cut short and dismissed, then after that I called them and asked them about the flat as it was supposed to be on the market on a certain date and I had not seen is however when I called I experienced the same level of dismissal. People get into agency to work with people so if you treating people that way is shocking. How can you trust that they are finding the best people for your property with treatment like that. If I had been a landlord looking to rent my property the treatment of me would have been completely different because they would be making money off of me. Just bad business... Read more
