15th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)If I could give zero I would! I’d never rent via Ayers ever again and would never recommend to anyone! The branch in Southend on sea has some very rude staff with no people skills! We rented a flat that had been newly done up on the understanding that there was no issues with it… on the day we moved in there was noticeable water damage to a wall in the main bedroom which we immediately called the office they sent out a builder who told us there was water damage to the external wall and to draw round it with a pen! Over that year we reported more and more problems where we got sent a builder who kept saying we will talk to the landlord but nothing got done! The landlord took over £400 from our deposit because of this issue and over a month after we handed the keys back we’ve been hit with another bill that isn’t our fault and to make it worse it was an email not even a phone call! Overall your staff are rude and don't know how to communicate or even do their jobs correctly! As someone who has rented through a couple of different estate agents I am deeply disappointed, angered and disgusted with how we are being dealt with!

23rd Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)I should have went with Knight Residential from the start to sell my house. After 8 weeks with no viewings, I asked Matt to place my house one the market with Knight’s. Wishing a few days, we had multiple viewings and an offer made and excepted. Matt then passed me over to Lorraine, who knew we had a quick turnaround needed of 6 weeks. Lorraine went above snd beyond, not that she would ever say she did. Each week she would make contact to provide updates, she would work with the buyer and our solicitors to ensure a swift smooth sale. Lorraine is now selling my letting property and everything again is going just as smoothly as. I would recommend Knight Residential, not just to sell, but to provide expert advice, guidance and if I were to purchase, let or sell again, I would not hesitate to go direct to Knight’s. Thank you.

They went above and beyond—not only assisting with the sale itself, but also helping to secure short-term tenants and guiding me through a deed of variation. 5th May 2026 (9 days ago)????? We should have called Alex and Jane first. Here's why ?????? Selling our detached family home in Harlow (£700k–£800k range) was a long and frustrating journey until it wasn't. We interviewed over 10 agents before appointing Fortune & Coates. Glossy brochure, compelling pitch but after months on the market, no offers, pressure to reduce and persuaded us to sign with them by asserting that they could achieve a higher sale price for our home. We switched to Douglas Allen. Same story. More months, no offers and mounting pressure to drop significantly. We were deflated and questioning everything ?????? Then we found Durden & Hunt and everything changed for us ?????? Alex was exceptional from the start. Knowledgeable, personable and refreshingly honest. He asked brilliant questions, listened carefully and gave us a clear-eyed read of the market with no spin whatsoever. Alex explained that the strategies used by our previous agents were ineffective and crucially, he told us why. The optimal approach he advised is to list slightly below market value to generate strong interest and competitive demand allowing the market to determine true worth organically. He also cautioned that overpricing a property stifles interest and can lead buyers to question whether something is wrong. ?????? His assessment proved to be exactly right. He has stayed in close contact and continued offering genuine advice on our next property purchase something he has absolutely no obligation to do. In an industry where attention disappears once contracts are exchanged, that level of care is extraordinarily rare and deeply appreciated. Jane Lewis is quite simply, a rare gem ?????? Exceptionally knowledgeable, wonderfully warm and so genuinely kind. She qualifies every opportunity meticulously, ensuring only serious buyers came through our door. Her approach, her manner and her dedication are things you have to experience to truly appreciate. Words don't do her justice ?????? We listed early October. Less than four weeks later we had multiple offers. By early November it was agreed at the price we had originally hoped for ? Looking back, the lesson is clear?????? An overvaluation might feel flattering but it's a trap. It stalls momentum, erodes buyer confidence and costs you time and potentially money that you can't get back. Alex and Jane didn't tell us what we wanted to hear. They told us what we needed to hear and that honesty is exactly what sold our home at the price we always believed it deserved ?????? If you're in the Harlow or Epping area and serious about selling, please learn from our experience. Don't make the tour of the market that we did before finding the right answer. Go to Durden & Hunt first and ask for Alex and Jane. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone and everyone. You will be in the very best of hands ?????? Terry in particular was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to helping us with the sale of our property but also find the right property to purchase. Communication was clear and timely throughout the entire process, and they were always available to answer questions or offer advice. What really stood out was their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure everything went smoothly. They made what can often be a stressful experience feel straightforward and well-managed. And let me tell you our journey wasn’t the most straight forward. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to buy or sell. A truly five-star experience.
8th May 2026 (6 days ago)After a really frustrating experience trying to sell our home through two other agents, finding Carter Remy Estates completely changed everything for us. Both previous agents had “sold” our property, but on both occasions the sales eventually fell through because the buyers were unable to obtain mortgages. Each time, we had already started spending money towards purchasing another property ourselves, only for everything to collapse due to the buyers not being properly vetted in the first place. It was stressful, costly, and incredibly disappointing. A friend recommended Carter Remy to us and at that point we genuinely felt like we had nothing to lose. From the very beginning, we were impressed with their marketing strategy, professionalism, and honest approach. Within just two weeks they found us another buyer, but this time the difference was obvious immediately. Carter Remy required the buyer to sign a reservation agreement and make an upfront payment, which gave us real confidence that the buyer was genuine, financially committed, and serious about proceeding. It made the whole process feel far more secure and gave us the reassurance we needed to confidently move forward with our onward purchase without fearing another collapse. The result was a completely different experience our sale completed within just 12 weeks with no complications at all after the agreement was signed. A huge thank you to the whole team, especially Allison and Craig, for all of their hard work, communication, and support throughout the process. We honestly can’t recommend Carter Remy highly enough and would recommend them to anyone looking to move home.

She provided updates, and offered support, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Which is a big plus for us as first time buyers. Ms Bonita was genuinely invested in helping us find our dream home. She took the time to understand our needs and preferences, guiding us through every step of the buying process with patience and expertise. We appreciated her honest advice, which helped us make informed decisions without feeling pressured considering the short time scale we had when applying for the mortgage. We would wholeheartedly recommend Ms Bonita to anyone in need of real estate services!
