15th Nov 2024 (9 weeks ago)Paul and the team at Brian Thomas were excellent throughout the sale process for our property. They pitched the sale just right and we managed to achieve over asking price within a week of listing. Paul was very helpful with advice on the purchase side too and we credit him with helping us to secure our new home.
12th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)No communication. I needed to ring to get any updates one viewing in 6 months. Shop only open till lunchtime on a Saturday. Went 3 times to speak with them, on a Saturday and the shop was closed. Before lunchtime reduced price one week later went into the shop to tell them that the property was still full price in their window. paid nearly £900. For pictures and one media post on rightmove. So not good value for money.which I cant get anything back I needed to ask for my contract which they emailed to me after six months,to find out that no money would be given back not told this when I signed. Property does not sell its self need a good agent to push your property and tell you full details before you sign agreement.

30th Oct 2024 (11 weeks ago)My experience with Rise has been nothing short of dreadful. From the very beginning of our tenancy, dealing with Rise was a constant struggle. They were difficult to reach, rarely picked up the phone, and often seemed completely uninformed about the status of issues we raised. It became increasingly unclear what anyone at Rise actually did, as they consistently failed to communicate or provide any support. Maureen, who was supposedly responsible for property issues, often seemed completely out of the loop. During our tenancy, it was common to be redirected to different people, none of whom had any real information about our concerns or seemed able to offer solutions. This disorganization was particularly evident when we tried to resolve discrepancies with our deposit. Other team members continually told us to contact Paddy, yet none of them could provide any assistance themselves. Paddy, in turn, was often condescending and dismissive, making the entire process feel unnecessarily antagonistic. I found myself sending more than double the emails we received in return, just to get basic responses on matters that should have been straightforward. Overall, I would strongly recommend that students look elsewhere for housing options. In the year prior we had a great experience with Loc8me. Although they may charge slightly more for some properties, the responsiveness, professionalism, and care their staff provide is worlds apart from what we experienced with Rise. Our time with Rise felt like a lesson in poor property management, and I would advise others to avoid them if they’re looking for a smooth rental experience.

All of the viewing have been done, the offers collated and we have received email and telephone communication throughout the process. We are pleased we chose Reeds Rains, Durham.
26th Oct 2024 (11 weeks ago)2 viewings one offer £40000 below asking price which was set by agent as realistic then they said it was probably too high. Also I take offence to their Facebook posts that state everything they touch turns to sold! When clearly it does not.

I received feedback on viewings and I was kept up to date throughout the whole process of letting the property. The team are excellent and I would have no hesitation in using Ben Charles again in the future.

They are both professional & personable, which is not always the case with estate agents & I've been very impressed with their communication & the rapidity with which they carry out all the relevant tasks. The only slight criticism I would have relates to the photographs of the property which I feel could be more appealing but this is probably quite pedantic of me! I have other properties, one of which I plan to sell next year &, providing all goes well with my current sale, I will list the next property with Ryan James' agency also.
31st Jul 2024 (24 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

20th May 2024 (7 mo. ago)BP Auctions have been anything BUT easy to work with. We’ve been chasing for updates on the sale of our property for weeks with no response. Every time we manage to speak to someone on the phone, we’re promised a call back that never happens. No one responds via email, and the whole process has been painfully slow from start to finish.
