I would avoid these estate agents. Their customer service is fine, but unfortunately they work with misleading developers. Likely, you will end up losing money on your property and with a lot of unnecessary stress if you use them for a new build. We bought a new build through them about 3 years ago. To this date, the developer they have been representing has not finished our road, landscaping, or snagging. And this is after chasers and legal action. This has already been addressed with Waterfords at the time, so they are well aware, and we understand that it is not their responsibility to fulfil the developer's duties. However, what I did not expect is that whilst they well know that the said developer (Downton Homes) misleads buyers, Waterfords will continue advertising and selling their properties (having just sold a full new development for them in Ewshot). I guess money talks! But also says a lot about the ethics of this organisation called Waterfords. I would not deal with a business with such ethics, let alone use them to purchase a new build, and moreso if it is produced by Downton Homes.... Read more
