We particularly wanted to mention Isobel Clarke who has kept in touch regularly with updates and new properties on to the market, she has always been professional, helpful and friendly and a pleasure to speak with and goes beyond to make you feel valued. We have now found our forever home with Brown & Merry and and going through the buying process with Lucy, there has been excellent communication throughout. We would highly recommend Isobel and all the team. Thank you.

11th Jul 2026 (23 days ago)We booked a viewing with Jo and we arrived 15minutes early. Waited 45 minutes in total. Called them from the start multiple times about their estimated eta. Always said back coming soon. No correspondence from them about lateness. They never showed up or told us to reschedule. Extremely disappointing. Never experienced this with any letting agency ever. Could not be trusted as reliable.
24th May 2023 (3 years ago)Very poor level of service from day one until departure. Failed to look after our best interests as customers paying rent and basically had to deal with poor customer service throughout. Approach with extreme caution.
3rd Jul 2026 (4 weeks ago)I can't recommend Oakleys highly enough following our recent house purchase through them. From the moment we were onboarded by the owner (a very nice touch), the process combined professionalism with a human touch that can often be found wanting in this industry. The team at Oakleys were always on hand and swift to respond, and it meant that all of the inevitable, potential hold ups that come with a house purchase were dealt with quickly and efficiently, leaving both the buyers (us) and sellers feeling well looked after. This was our fourth house purchase, so we've been through this a few times - and certainly it was the smoothest so far.

My brother and myself dealt with Hefina to sell our mother’s house - Hefina dealt with us from valuation to sale in a professional manner at all times, responding to our questions promptly and keeping us up-to-date every step of the way. The house was sold very quickly and the process went smoothly. I highly recommend Martin and Co for a first class service.

11th Jul 2026 (23 days ago)What a find. After a whole year of showings we switched to Orchid after a recommendation. Our experience went from misery to delight from then on. Carl’s team along with Kat could not have done more and were full of communications and feedback and more importantly, genuine potential buyers. Within weeks we were under offer and our period of huge uncertainty drew to a close. I cannot thank Orchid enough. We were made to feel like we were their only customer.

The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.

11th Jul 2026 (23 days ago)Title: Unacceptable delay returning deposit — over 6 weeks and still waiting<br><br>Review:<br>I vacated 1 Crackley Meadow, Twin on 29 May 2026. It is now 13 July 2026 — more than 6 weeks later — and I still have not received my deposit back.<br><br>I paid rent on time, every month throughout my tenancy, left the property in good condition, and have done everything required of me. I have emailed repeatedly, called both Hemel Hempstead and Watford branches many times, and yesterday spoke to Jamie who promised a manager/director would call back — nothing has happened.<br><br>This is not just bad service — it is unreasonable and illegal under UK tenancy rules. Deposits should be returned promptly when there is no dispute. It feels like my money is being held deliberately for no good reason.<br><br>I am now claiming formal compensation and will escalate this to The Property Ombudsman and my deposit protection scheme. Do not rent through this company if you want your money back when you move out — they will drag their feet and ignore you.
