26th Oct 2026 (9 days ago)Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Lack of Reliability<br><br>I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Sarah Mains. We started the rental process for a property, submitted all the required documents, and successfully passed the referencing and credit checks conducted through Rightmove.<br><br>However, just two days before our planned moving date, an agent named Laura informed us that the landlord had decided not to proceed with the tenancy. By that point, we had already made significant arrangements for the move, paid advance costs, and even secured school admissions for our children near the property.<br><br>This sudden decision caused our family considerable stress, inconvenience, and financial loss. We had organised everything in good faith, trusting that the process was progressing as expected.<br><br>To make matters worse, we were informed that the holding deposit could not be refunded, leaving us in an extremely difficult situation despite having done everything required of us.<br><br>A family relocation is not a small matter, especially when children and school admissions are involved. I believe a letting agency should communicate responsibly, handle the process professionally, and treat prospective tenants fairly.<br><br>I would not recommend Sarah Mains to anyone based on my experience. The lack of reliability and the way this situation was handled have completely undermined my trust in the agency.<br><br>I sincerely hope they improve their service and treat future tenants with greater consideration and transparency.

28th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)They listed my4 bed detached dormer bungalow as a 4 bed detached HOME!!! SO I didn’t get any viewings for 10 week as google does not recognise home on any search engine it Could be found under properties but buyers only looking for bungalows could not find us!! I found out by distant friend trying to find bungalows online. They relaunched but missed summer buyers. Tied into 20week contract and cost me £354 to cancel -nightmare scenario for me.

From the initial contact to the valuation, marketing, viewing of property and communication they have been excellent. From our experience we would never use any other estate agent (in the extremely unlikely event of us ever selling our current home).

21st Aug 2023 (3 years ago)Jools was so helpful, she knew everything about the area, she took the most amazing pictures and marketed the house in a way that almost made me want to buy it! From knowing about the benefits of the kind of windows we had to knowing the direction the garden and the way lighting would change through the day. Everything! You'd think it was her house the way she spoke about it. She was amazing. And on top of all that, the most genuinely nice and helpful person. I couldn't have wished for anyone nicer to help us with the sale. We had previously spoken to other estate agents but Jools just put us totally at ease and made it so much less stressful than we ever thought it could be. I can't thank her and her team enough!

20th Feb 2026 (8 mo. ago)Useful to be invited to comment! I/we would say that it's never good to be provided with false information. Nor to suffer broken promises, or to be introduced to a buyer who definitely isn't going to be able to buy, and an agent is well aware. These things cause real damage and distress to a seller. I/we definitely don't recommend this business, it caused provable harm.
4th Aug 2026 (13 weeks ago)Anthony Hay at True Homes went above and beyond the call of duty in relation to this sale. The property had to be sold on the death of a family member but one of the beneficiaries to the estate of the deceased made selling the property exceptionally difficult as they did all they could to obstruct the sale while at the same time demanding their inheritance from the estate (the greater part of which was of course the property which they wished to remain in rent free). Anthony calmly remained patient and eventually we overcame the obstacles and achieved the sale.

23rd Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Awfully managed estate agent, will ignore you when you tell them multiple times that you are renewing your tenancy and will continue to organize viewings in which people would use a key to come in without knocking. Upon signing our tenancy renewal, two months after we had asked them multiple times to do so, Chloe took so long to sign her part, the document expired and we had to do it again!<br><br>They have been a bit better this year, actually sending emails when someone needs access to the property, however, we were given less than 24h notice that a photographer would be coming to take pictures of our flat. This photographer let himself in without knocking 20 minutes early without saying a word to either of us.<br><br>Brunton really lacks respect for the tenants it’s renting to, our landlord is also using Greetham Gilbert to market the house; Greetham Gilbert have been nothing but friendly and respectful of our privacy, waiting 5 minutes if we are not ready, emails of viewings sent a week in advance. If you want an estate agent to manage your student property do not choose Brunton Residential, it is ran awfully!
