Recently assisted in selling our house. It was not straight forward and was very stressful, but despite that Emma in conjunction with Victoria and Mathew steadied and steered the ship over a long period dealing with some very difficult and awkward third parties (not the buyers themselves they were spot on) along the way. We could not recommend RMS Ryton enough. They tried their utmost to help bring our original purchase to completion but sadly it wasn't to be. Victoria then helped us through negotiations on another property in Ryton that completed in 5 to 6 weeks and we are happily settled in our new home. Fantastic experience dealing with RMS's Ryton branch in my recent mortgage application. Rachel has been incredibly supportive to my situation and took time to carefully go through the details, pros and cons of each mortgage and protection product for me. She took care of all communications with the lender and insurer and went the extra mile when I needed to re-apply at the last minute when mortgage rates started to drop, ensuring I got the best rate available. Completing the house purchase was at times stressful with other parties, but Rachel took a lot of the stress away from the lending side of things, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending her, or RMS Ryton, to anybody. When Victoria of RMS Ryton called to survey our home for a valuation we were in for a surprise.
Victoria toured the house and gardens, taking copious photographs, and having made us aware of Rook Matthew Sayer's details of policies regarding advertising and promoting the property, coolly stated, "I'll sell this house in less than a week."
"Right-o", we said. Thinking, "Not a snowball's chance."
That was Tuesday.
Wednesday - Internet - detailed description and photographs.
Thursday - appointments made for viewings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday - Viewings.
Saturday - Viewings. At end of day SOLD! (subject to contract)
Cancelled viewings for Sunday
And so it came to pass. Sold within the week.
Sale completed in 14 weeks. Covid intervened and searches lengthened the process.
Staff at RMS Ryton affable, communicative, slick and professional. Thanks to all.

From the first first phone call to the last, I can’t fault the service I have received from Rook Matthews Sayer in Ryton. Steven valued my property and his professionalism and efficiency was excellent. Having tried other estate agents who were unable to value my house for weeks (due to reduced staffing levels during the pandemic), Steven was able to come out within a matter of days to value my house. My house was sold within 3 weeks and I have finally completed on the sale 6 long months after accepting my buyers offer. With a mixture of the pandemic and horrendous solicitors, the sale took so much longer than it should have done to complete but Julie was fantastic every step of the way. Often having to take calls from me 3 and 4 times a day, desperate for an update, I truly felt like she was on my side. Julie pushed from every angle to get this sale through before my purchase property was pulled from the sale and I can’t speak highly enough of her. When Julie wasn’t in the office, it was Emma who would take my calls and push for updates from solicitors or buyers. Both so understanding and helpful! I would highly recommend Steven, Julie and Emma!

I recently sold my house and had many issues with potential buyers due to the pandemic. The sale fell through many times as people couldn't get their mortgages as previously agreed.
I mostly dealt with Steven and Emma at the Ryton office and they were always very friendly, helpful and reassuring.

Would give zero stars if I could. My wife and I had an appointment to view a property in Ryton where we were travelling especially to view. We arrived on the day to find it had already been let out. They failed to inform us of this and completely wasted our time. The company didn't even seem to care.

I can only speak on behalf of the mortgage advisor. Very condescending and extremely unprofessional. I was only in for 5mins and had to leave as she called me ‘very rude’ then upon me exhaling due to me being flabbergasted of the situation she then mimicked me by exhaling aloud. I had to leave immediately. Stay well away.
