3rd Oct 2025 (10 weeks ago)Allan Wegeland has proved there are some estate agents out there that are actually good at their job. Until he came along and persuaded me to give him the opportunity to sell my property, I had just about lost my faith in mankind, let alone estates agents! He worked tirelessly and tenaciously to steer what turned out to be an unnecessarily complicated sale involving four sets of solicitors (was like herding cats!) through to a successful completion. He showed diplomacy and patience with all parties concerned in the sale and purchase of the property and maintained a high level of communication throughout the process, always responding promptly and proffering intelligent information when required. He truly earned his commission and I would have no hesitation in recommending Allan’s services to anyone wanting a really knowledgeable, experienced and professional agent.

14th Nov 2025 (29 days ago)I had one of the worst rental experiences ever with this estate agent company. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and unprofessional, but things became truly unacceptable once I moved out. The landlord, supported by the agency, behaved rudely and even resorted to threatening comments regarding my deposit. No tenant should be made to feel intimidated or worried about losing their deposit without proper justification. The experience was stressful, disappointing, and far from what you would expect from a company claiming to offer “professional services.” I strongly advise anyone considering renting through this agency to think twice. There are plenty of other companies out there that treat tenants with respect and follow fair procedures — this one is definitely not among them.

They covered up a significant issue with the house we bought. Also asked us for the same information over and over again to the point we just started referring them to previous emails. 18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Gave them a quick call and they laid out loads of solid investment options with proper returns, not the usual fluff you get from other places.
