14th Oct 2023 (2 years ago)Disappointed, impossible to get an answer quick enough so keep missing out on properties. Have struggled to find a property in Cardiff and when I do and contact the agents they take too long to answer/will not pass all the details I put forward to the landlords.

The whole rental process was clear, smooth and handled with great care. Matthew went above and beyond to make everything easy — he explained every step, kept me updated throughout, and made sure the agreement reflected exactly what was discussed. Even after receiving the keys, he acted immediately when I reported small issues and arranged help straight away. It’s rare to find someone so reliable, honest and genuinely supportive. I’m very grateful for his assistance and highly recommend Matthew to anyone looking for a property or working with First4rentals. Excellent service!

13th Aug 2022 (4 years ago)Had a great experience recently buying through these guys. I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates. She actually saved me a big delay, due to my surveyors, by noticing they hadn't been in touch with the vendor after they told we they would be. Overall I would highly recommend.
25th Feb 2021 (5 years ago)This agent did not provide any terms and conditions. Their photographs of my property were appalling and they totally ignored all of my concerns about their shameful service. They did not put an offer to me that they received on my property and told me what solicitor they wished to use for the conveyancing prior to any consultation with me. They have an appalling sales record compared to other local agents who sell properties far quicker than this incompetent agent who completely ignored my concerns AND instructions throughout. I can not put into words how shameful this agent was in dealing with the sale of my house. Concerns and instructions ignored and not acted upon this disgracefully incompetent agent took over 15 months to sell a very desirable property on a much sought after estate. Please refer to GETAGENT to see the shamefully disgusting time these ametures take to sell properties compared to other local agents. DISGRACEFUL service from an incompetent and out of touch, arrogant estate agent.
29th Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)Thomas and Thomas provided a first class service. They sold our two properties in less than twelve months. Communication was excellent they kept us up to date at all times. Every staff member were excellent and we cannot praise them enough. I will highly recommend this company.
17th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)Great advice from Martin on a commercial property that I own. With the help of Martin I was able to tie my tenants in to a long term lease suited to both of us. Having dealt with commercial estate agents in the past I have never had any sound advice….my opinions have now changed. Thanks again Martin and team. I will definitely be recommending yourself. See you in 10 years for same…bet your glad to see the back of us lol.

27th May 2026 (17 weeks ago)Absolutely terrible communication and lack of response from emails, My partner had emailed and phoned numerous times in regards to a property to rent and we were sent a questionnaire. Upon filling out said questionnaire we had no response and nothing since despite us emailing and calling again!. Appalling service overall and would not recommend.
4th Aug 2026 (7 weeks ago)I would not hesitate to recommend Thomas Estate Agents. Every member of staff with whom I have had contact has been patient, communicative, friendly, and professional. I know I have a tendency to over communicate and be over eager in terms of looking for information on what I should be doing or updates, and they have always been very understanding - never made me feel like a nuisance! As a person with the sole responsibility of moving with a child, it can be a daunting and stressful experience. Having the right estate agent can significantly lessen that stress and I can say that is the case for Thomas Estate Agents. Thank you! For context, there are houses in my area that have been on the market a long time. Considering this being summer time where things can be a little slower from what I understand, mine was only on the market for around 6 weeks I believe before we had an offer. Up until this point, communication about viewings was great. Peter, who eventually sold my property, has been fantastic! I believe he is new, but you wouldn't know it. Thank you all!
12th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)Have been renting our properties with property direct for at least10 years now. I can honestly say they are one of the better if not best agents to deal with in cardiff.Proffessional and promt and always looking at ways to help the landlords aswell as the tennants!
25th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Nick Director of the estate agent; doesn’t accepted he isn’t perfect unwilling to make any amendments to property brochure, even though they got a legal obligation to describe the property accurately. When questioned over why he’s refusing to say it is porcelain tiles when its ceramic tiles He says its semantics, They are working against sellers by not listing a property accurately and fairly and are working against sellers! Below is screen shot of their response which flat out says no to any amendments. Certainly not worth £4000+vat fixed fee
