Such a good company I like the way it is all online
Got stung in the car auctions, cars that arrive with keys, but that turn out to have engine faults, suddenly don't have keys anymore, they seem to get lost, and auctioned as "No keys" instead of "Engine fault" as you can get more money for a car that isn't advertised as "Engine fault". The 3 minute rule is a pure scam and not normal auction practice, just allows John Pye to run the bids up higher themselves using a computer. You cant see how many bidders there are or who you are bidding against, pure trickery. I have no proof, obviously, its just my experience, however i would bet on it. Also, be aware of any company that has to reply to every single one of the google reviews left by customers. Their replies and concern are just for show, to cover their backsides and make it seem like they care. Reputable businesses don't need to continuously sweep up the aftermath of disgruntled customers. Saying "please email us your concerns" is the modern way of saying "Go away, we don't care, we already have your money". Apart from those minor issues, its not a bad auction. Wait for it..."Dear Adam, we are sorry to hear you have a negative experience with us. Please email email@example.com with your invoice number and registered email address, so we can investigate further...
This review is to warn other people like myself that are trying to earn an honest living. I do not want you to get ripped off as i did. Be careful with this "auction".
From my first meeting with Robert Tomlinson and arranging mortgage , the house purchase was stress free and I felt well supported throughout. No question was too trivial and actions responded to in a professional manner. Robert was always available to meet, telephone or email, a valuable service.
Hannah Tomlinson and her team were also amazing with communication throughout the whole house buying process.
An excellent personal service from all the team at R A Bennett.
I would not recommend using their services if your looking for renting an apartment.
They do no answer back emails, call back nor give invoices unless you demand it and still they don’t clarify in the invoice what it was for.
(And their prices are not cheap!)
I also had to chase them for a month to get my deposit back.
Extremely cold staff (especially Aimee) they are all just waiting to show you the way out - the second you enter the door.
In short it’s a place that makes sure that you are aware that they don’t care about you, only your money.
How refreshing it has been renting from Belvoir. Our previous letting agent were an absolute nightmare and charged extortionate fees. But Belvoir have gone far and beyond in terms of the level of care and service we have received as well as the most modest of fees. They really do care! Nothing has been too much trouble and any issues have been resolved extremely quickly. For us this means a worry free tenancy and a very happy home :-) I cannot recommend Belvoir lettings highly enough! Absolutely commendable. Thank you so much Belvoir!
Belvoir Leamington may be good for general sales and tenancies (as their other reviews seem to imply) but they provide poor service to student tenants. If you are a prospective student tenant, PLEASE take my advice and do not put yourself through the stress of letting with this agency.
They never followed up emails in a timely manner when attempting to report issues, and charged an excessive amount in 'cleaning fees' despite the property being returned to them in a spotless condition. Other students with other letting agencies retrieved their whole deposits back without cleaning their property as rigorously. This stung particularly considering the state they left the property upon moving in - excrement in the toilet etc. Further - they were unhelpful and rude in the manner they dealt with this, charging the group an amount for cleaning fees without providing a breakdown or specifying why. We got the impression that they just wanted to get as much money out of us as possible, despite knowing that they were dealing with students. Would you charge an excessive fee if a property had been returned to you in a better state to how you received it? You pride yourselves on being fantastic to student tenants Belvoir Leamington - why make this claim and not back it up with real evidence?
And before a member of the team tries to contact me to take this comment down, I won't, and please don't try. Doesn't it say a lot that they actually ask people to remove negative comments?
EDIT - RESPONSE TO REPLY: As I have no personal qualms with anyone at Belvoir and direct my comments to the agency as a whole, I'd appreciate it if you didn't post my personal details online. I am writing this review on behalf of a group of friends who rented with you this year who have had a very negative experience, so my comments therefore serve as a review of your conduct as opposed to a review of my experience. Essentially, the facts still stand regardless of who the property was rented by.
Secondly, I appreciate the sentiment, but your words do not mirror your actions. It is very well stating this online for others to see following a negative review, but I advise practicing this with your tenants in order to tackle the issue at base. I wish I could believe you regarding your comments with the cleaners, but unfortunately – and my own experience backs this up – I think it’s necessary to bring into question either the ‘reputable’ nature of your cleaners (how good they actually are at the literal cleaning), or whether you use cleaners at all in your student properties.
I will not be calling, as I’ll leave further discussion to the tenants of the property. I simply wanted to post a review, not conduct an exchange.
