We were trying to sell a flat and started off with another Estate Agent. After a few months of going nowhere, we called in Lauristons and from the first minute, their attitude and energy blew us away and had no comparison with whom we'd previously been dealing. In the first few days they doubled the amount of viewings the previous Estate Agent had provided in two months and we got multiple offers in that same week. All in all, it was a great experience, from dealing with the back office, to getting updates from the agents involved in our sale. I cannot fault Lauristons and would highly recommend them.
If you want your deposit back please please don't use these guys,My advise would be don't pay your last 6 weeks rent. We are in the prossess of seeking legal advise and will update this review in the next few days when we know more.
I’m sure you all have seen the reply from these guys! but apparently they know the names of all there tenants like train2fight uk and Henry the French bulldog!!!!!both who leave 5 star reviews.REALLY
Would definitely recommend Douglas and Gordon based on our letting experience over the last 3 years. Damian was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and provided a very genuine and honest service.
Travelled 30 minutes across London with my wife and 2-week old child for an ‘open house’ in Abbeville village this morning, yet no agent showed up. Called the office to be told ‘he should be there’ (what kind of resolution is this - he wasn’t there or I wouldn’t be calling you would I..!?). Complete time wasters, especially for the price bracket. Have asked to be removed from all future correspondence.
We had an excellent experience, as buyers, with Petty Son and Prestwich. They were informative and very quick to respond to any questions we had, which, as first time buyers, was important for us. Each member of the team was very helpful and honest regarding our situation as the move progressed. When we come to move on, I expect we'll come back to them to do our sale. Highly recommended and many thanks for all your help.
After showing interest in an apartment in Snaresbrook and arranging a viewing by phone, I received an email confirming the address and time for the viewing. As it turned out, I was given the wrong postcode and therefore arrived at the wrong address, a 20 minute walk away from where the property was actually located. I received a call from Du Preez Botha who asked me where I was and, after explaining to him that he had indeed given me the wrong postcode he said "well I had the same postcode as you and have never been here before myself and I've managed to find it". Although I should have checked the name of the road itself as well as the postcode, I did only use the postcode as I was using my google maps app. Estate agents are by nature rather arrogant people who know the rental market well, they have a lot of interest in each property. Having said this, if a mistake is made on one's part, one should accept this, not blame the client. He did apologise, although this didn't feel too sincere. I also work in a very busy office where I am responsible for providing addresses to clients. So a word of advice from me would be to: A. double check both the number / name and street name and B. make sure the postcode provided to a potential client matches the address. In this way the time wasted for both parties will be avoided.
Working with Marko di Masi was a great pleasure. He immediately understood what we were looking for and was incredibly helpful throughout the process. His vibrant personality made the experience fun and enjoyable, while also being highly professional in every regard. And most importantly, he helped us find our new home!
The staff were efficient and always responsive. Omar handled our tenants and was particularly helpful with any additional issues. He was able to attend to workmen and deliveries which relieved us of the stress of travelling across London!
warm, friendly and informative team of professional. I felt very well looked after and at ease. Thank you!
I have been a tenant with them. They were really a poor managing agency. Very rude, prone to take money from you and blaming you for anything.
Unfortunately when I became a landlord, I had the weakness to let them rent my property because I was short of time.
They are absolutely incompetent. They have charged me for some safety work which has never been done and it took me 6 months for them to recognise their mistake and to give me the money back.
They are very poor responders to email or phone call.
The worst came when my tenants wanted to move out. They have lost the set of keys they were holding so no prospective tenant could visit the flat.
They don t organise the inventory check out for you which make it very stressful for a landlord living abroad.
Now they want to give me back my deposit 3 months after my tenants have moved out to make sure that they have sufficient fund !
Tenants and Landlords, don t use Hastings International in London.
They are completely incompetent and unethical.
Paul Harris did a fantastic job with the purchase of my new flat. Of all the agents I dealt with over several months Paul was the only one I felt I really “clicked” with - because he really took the time to appreciate what I was after (and I was picky!). Paul also ensured a very speedy path to completion and went out of his way to make this happen - for the sake of both myself and the sellers. And there was excellent communication, regular updates and great advice throughout. I very happily recommend Paul and he will be my first port of call as and when the time comes that I am looking to sell and buy again.
Zero selling skills. Zero negotiating skills. They overvalue your property to get your business and then suggest endless price reductions to make a sale. The first price reduction came within 3 weeks of going to market. Even after this they were still unable to sell the property. They bring through busloads of mismatched buyers who are looking for a totally different kind of property thereby wasting your time. From a database of 161 buyers they managed to generate 1 viewing. They then use phrases such as 'it's the difference between reality and expectation' to excuse their lack of ability. The only reality is their valuation, which they are blindly unable to achieve. Avoid.
