12th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Having met Claire Brown I felt confident in signing with William H Brown. What a mistake! I decided to try the modern auction method as I had no above chain. I filled in all necessary paperwork with the solicitor & auction house. 2 negotiators were sent round and promised me (Ryan particularly) that absolutely they could sell my house, it was beautiful and it would be a pleasure to sell it etc etc. Within a week I went into the office as had heard nothing and asked was there anything I could do . I was told no there wasn’t. Having been informed by Ryan that January was busy initially he then retracted stating with another member of the team that this January was the worst on record. I received 1 phone call from Ryan telling me had an interested party, hmmm don't think that was true. Said interested party obviously never materialised. In 12 plus weeks I have not heard from any staff ! The auctioneer has been in touch on and off. Thank goodness my time is now up and my contract terminated. I would advise anyone thinking of signing to not waste your time as first impressions are not always the best. I absolutely would not recommend this company. They are beyond unprofessional in every way. Please people, there are clearly far better agents in Rushden & Higham Ferrers.

Specifically, I want to mention Aaron - very helpful, pleasant in communication, and ready to go the extra mile to explain and assist throughout the process. Great service!

11th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)I'm not one for reviews but I have to share my experience. After renting my property out through Northwoods (a lot of years), it was time to buy a new property. They had been fantastic at managing the property over the years, with constant communication and regular updates. the property was never left empty for long, just long enough to allow maintenance to be done (By their approved contractors) before new tenants moved in. So based on their professionalism I choose them to handle the purchase. It just seemed effortless, again communication was spot on, I never once had to call to push along, Sara and Sam seemed to be one step ahead and kept me well informed explaining any issues that might arise, when there was a problem they sorted it all out with a common sense approach. When the other party seemed to be dragging their heels (solicitors) on completion, there they were again helping the transaction through to the end. I can not recommend these guys enough, for making everything hassle free, with no stress at all.

2nd Dec 2025 (6 mo. ago)I chose Boughtons over another mainly because of the all female staff, who had a more relaxed attitude. After an initial valuation which seemed, to me, a bit too high, they suggested a revision which then attracted viewings. We suffered a lag with the normal drop in viewings during the school break and then another drop as people waited for the budget. Despite this, Boughtons kept in touch and updated me throughout. Excellent Estate Agent

They were honest in their valuation, and helped to source a gardener, and to take out the bins etc. as we were living away throughout. More personable than a national chain, I would highly recommend Frosty Fields.

The process should have been relatively straightforward as a small chain but the seller’s solicitor was extremely unprofessional and the process took over 4 months. We are so grateful for the professional service received and cannot see another local agent pushing through for all parties. We all felt that we received personal service from a true professional. Tracey was brilliant every step of the way and kept the ball rolling throughout, as was Amrit who sorted out mortgage and insurance for us. Highly recommended!
