The team were courteous, helpful, and professional, with a genuine focus on making things straightforward. The experience felt comfortable and well managed, and I would be happy to recommend them to others.
10th Aug 2023 (3 years ago)Katie was so knowledgeable and had really done her homework on market trends, prices, sales, etc, in the area. We were so impressed and decided to use Bairstow Eves. It turned out to be the right decision and they have been excellent. I cannot fault them at all and would have no hesitation recommend these guys. In particular, the Carlton branch who are a great team. Thanks guys.

They went above and beyond for us, working hard to chase up and down the entire chain to make everything click into place in time. What really sets them apart is that you can reach them in the evenings or on weekends. They are just incredible. Literally everyone should use Elite Homes!
11th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)My husband and I put our house on the market with Richard Watkins in Radcliffe on Trent and were tied into a 14-week sole agency agreement. After 12 weeks, with no progress, we asked for our property to be removed from the market.<br><br>During that time, we received no offers, very little communication, and virtually no feedback from viewings. We were never approached to discuss changing the marketing strategy, reviewing the photographs or advert, or considering any other ideas to help generate more interest. It felt as though our sale had simply been left to drift until WE had to ask what was going on and what changes could be made.<br><br>Ultimately, we decided to change agents and within less than 48 hours of our property going back on the market, we had received and accepted an offer—a stark contrast!!!<br><br>One of the viewers who had originally viewed our property through Richard Watkins even returned to view with our new agent. We were told that they said they had only ever received one attempted phone call asking for feedback after their original viewing, which was very disappointing to hear as Richard Watkins ensured us their approach was to ring viewers three times to gain feedback.<br><br>We understand that no estate agent can guarantee a sale, and the property market can be unpredictable. However, what we do expect is regular communication, honest feedback, and a proactive approach. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.<br><br>The delays ultimately meant we missed out on purchasing what we believed would have been our forever home, making the experience even more upsetting.<br><br>Before leaving this review, I contacted Richard Watkins directly to share our experience in the hope that the feedback would help improve their service. My email was honest and constructive, but unfortunately I never received a reply.<br><br>Since then, I’ve spoken to other people in the village and some have shared similar experiences with the Radcliffe branch. While I can only speak for our own experience, it was disappointing to hear.<br><br>It’s such a shame because Radcliffe on Trent is a close-knit community, and we genuinely felt let down. Selling your home is deeply personal—it’s not just another business transaction. We expected communication, guidance and a proactive approach throughout the process, but unfortunately that wasn’t what we received.<br><br>I haven’t written this review to criticise for the sake of it or to damage anyone’s reputation. I’ve written it in the hope that honest feedback leads to positive change, so future clients receive the level of communication, guidance and support that we felt was missing.<br><br>Based on our experience, I would encourage anyone considering Richard Watkins to think carefully before instructing them. If you do choose them, be prepared to chase regularly for updates rather than expecting proactive communication.

23rd Feb 2024 (2 years ago)Didn't get as far as actually dealing with them - saw an interesting flat, but the blurb was obviously written by AI, was unclear, contradictory and definitely inaccurate. Obviously hadn't ben proofread or edited. Made me wonder how much else they skimp on doing properly, so approached another agent.
21st Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Living in a Robins Estates property deeply tainted my experience of student housing. Although me and my friends found the humour within it they were the most unprofessional and useless company I have ever had to try and cooperate with. Their entire business is faceless and made up of lying estate agents who are simply trying to invalidate the students living in their properties and get away with doing absolutely nothing. Their phone number automatically puts you through to a call service where it is virtually impossible to be passed on to someone who actually knows about the property. And even then you are asked to put the emergency issues into an email which always gets an automated response that they’re out of office. Even when this emergency is an active leak. They do not communicate with their landlords which forced us to contact the property owner ourself, to which he was completely unaware of the leaking roof, rat infestation and many other issues. Even then Robins Estates refused to support us and by the end of the year had practically evicted us when deciding to rip out the bathrooms weeks before the tenancy ended. On top of the kitchen being infested with rats this forced me and my housemates out of our house, something which if we did not have the privilege of being able to go home from uni would have made us have nowhere to live. Robins Estates never seemed to understand the seriousness of these issues and constantly invalided us unless our parents rang up and demanded action in writing to hold them accountable. And even then the issues from when we first moved in were never resolved. Empty promises and lies are the foundations of Ben and Alex’s so called professional techniques. Overall, I will always hold immense anger for Robins Estates and the way they made a group of 7 girls feel so invalidated, helpless and frustrated in a situation that we were PAYING thousands of pounds to be in. If I can give you one piece of advice it would be to find any other estate agent and recommend your friends to stay away from this company. I hope that one day Ben and Alex will understand the seriousness of their job and how absolutely useless they are at fulfilling their roles. Even after being offered reduced rent to stay in the house for another year we were completely set in our decision to leave Robins Estates and the unresolved rat infestation as soon as possible. I am so grateful to now be living in a lovely student house with a very understanding landlord who we have regular contact with and is massively useful. No other groups of students should have to experience Robins Estates.

18th Jul 2024 (2 years ago)Wanted details on the Southwell Prebend house after a while I received it requested further information and a guidance on price and a viewing no reply a very well known Southwell resident who I visit discussed it with me ,I wasn't saying I was going to buy it but it would have helped if I was at the very least been given further information . Any how I gave up!! As far as I'm aware unless an agreement has been made which hasn't it should be open for a viewing.

We first met Ed when viewing a house that he was marketing, and we immediately appreciated his approach: pro-active and on the ball, but not pushy. Some time later, when we were looking to switch agents to refresh the marketing of our own property, we thought of Ed. In our case, he knew exactly how to present the house at its best and highlight the features likely to appeal to potential buyers. We were sold subject to contract within a couple of weeks, and moved not long after. Thanks Ed! We would highly recommend Argyle Property Associates to anyone looking for an estate agent in the Beeston area.
