10th Nov 2025 (8 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

It was a pleasure to work with everyone who communicated and updated regularly and nothing was enough trouble when anything needed attention. From the start of my sale the pictures of the property were good , and the arranging of viewings was organised and professional .<br>A massive thank you to Andrea, she was an absolute superstar with the progression of the sale and confirming all minor details with the buyer and assisting with communication between solicitors. Zoe saw this sale through from start to end, so thank you so much Zoe. But all the rest of the staff have been great. Chelsea, at Miller metcalfe tyldesley dealt with the sale, I found Chelsea to be professional but also very friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful if I got stuck with anything. She kept me informed with messages and phone calls as to the progress, and went above and beyond chasing things up. Overall, extremely happy with the service provided.

My house listing went live on Friday and by Wednesday we had 3 offers. We eventually sold the house for a little above the valuation due to the interest in the property generated by Ashtons.
