26th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)I wanted to get in contact with a previous property owner (for a home they had sold) and distant family friend and asked these lovely folks if they could help me. The very kindly contacted the person in question, who in turn contacted me back. They didn't need to help, but they did so and I'm very grateful for that.
14th Dec 2025 (13 weeks ago)We have used Sturrock Armstrong and Thomson for our wills and for previous house sales and also when we moved house recently. Apart from a minor issue when our bid for a property arrived a few minutes after the deadline but was quickly resolved they were very good to deal with, kept us informed at all stages and were particularly attentive when we were arranging viewings for our house. Leonard and his team looked after us.
3rd Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)Gregory Henry helped me apply for my first mortgage. Gregory was incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful during this process. He always helped to ease any of my worries I had, as well as answer any questions I had . Greg is incredibly easy to get on with and is always available when you need him. He definitely made my process 110x easier and I'm grateful I had Gregory to guide me through this process! I would definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for a smooth mortgage process and where the staff are truly catered to helping you as much as they can.

20th Jun 2025 (8 mo. ago)I have now worked with Strutt and Parker twice, first when purchasing my home last year and more recently when selling a family property. On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.

Going forward with the house sale, Robert couldn't have been better, keeping me updated throughout the whole process, it was outstanding service and second to none. Thanks to the experience I received from Drummond Miller through Robert, I intend to use them again very soon when I sell my parents' house. Highly recommend without reservation

23rd Feb 2026 (22 days ago)Trust the reviews and listen to what George Reynold’s erratic responses tell you - this is how they communicate with you regarding everything tenancy-related. I won’t even be able to scratch the surface regarding all the hassle and unprofessionalism I’ve experienced in one review. Failed to meet the repair standard for very long list of issues, and rather than deal with any of them they issued notice to leave after telling me to move out if I wasn’t happy. Stayed in the property one month past the 3 month deadline (and paid for this!) and they tried to claim my whole deposit on the grounds I ‘absconded’ from the property and didn’t return keys. Saw this coming so sent them by tracked post. They continued to send me arrears emails/letters months after I moved out, despite them issuing the notice.. They don’t have a clue about the law so if you’re in desperate need of housing (I’d still stay clear) and willing to take a chance with these goons, know your rights. I’ve only just got my deposit back 4 months after leaving after having to go through the adjudication process. AVOID. Let’s see what response this one gets ????????

9th Jun 2019 (6 years ago)Do not trust this company. We dealt with the previous iteration of the owners company and are now being left to clean up their mess. We should have gotten rid of them sooner.... leaving this review in the hope that other landlords won’t have to deal with the loss of over £2000 in rental payments plus the stress of figuring out what to do with our tenant now... even with the loss of rent I still may have left a good review if Amanda and Craig has worked with us to help figure things out (or even provide the tenants details) but the only response to any communication that we have is to essentially gloat that their old company doesn’t exist and there is no recourse for us. Pretty poor behaviour for a human being never mind a business owner.

She definitely got a fail at the school of charm. Maybe Alan Burke might want to have a chat with how she comes across and it’s definitely not professional by any means! Will be doing my business elsewhere!!
11th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)I was looking to purchase a property being sold through The Grange earlier this year. My viewings were arranged quickly and the lady who showed me round the property was friendly and helpful. It was only when the estate agent Helen got involved when I made a verbal offer that things deteriorated. Whilst I understand that she was looking out for her client and wanted to get the best price that she could for them her negotiating skills were non existant and she was rude, dismissive and spoke in a condesending manner saying "I'm not sure if you have bought a property recently but I have sold ones recently for £10k/£15k over the asking price" in order to get/ justify me putting in a higher bid even though it was already in excess of the asking price. I walked away only for her to contact me several weeks later when my offer was accepted. A bit of self reflection on how you deal with your potential buyers wouldn't go amiss.

They kept us informed at every stage and made what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and well managed. Their local knowledge and genuine commitment to getting the best result really stood out, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
