14th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)I rented through Property Liaisons for just over a year and can honestly say I have rarely encountered such poor management. At almost every opportunity, mistakes were made. These ranged from minor but persistent issues, such as the admin team repeatedly misspelling my name despite it being clearly shown in my email address and signature. To more serious concerns, including a failure to inform us about a building-wide cladding issue and ignoring our questions regarding fire safety.<br>From start to finish, I was unimpressed with the level of service. A few examples highlight why my confidence in the company steadily declined:<br>* When we attended the office to sign our rental contract, we noticed the flat we were about to sign for was being advertised for sale in the window. When we asked about this, the two staff members present were unable to provide a clear answer and had to make a call, eventually confirming that the property had in fact been taken off the market some time earlier.<br>* Upon moving in, we were given the wrong parking space and an incorrect bin access code. In addition, several important emails were delayed because our email addresses had been entered incorrectly, despite the fact we had already been in regular email correspondence with them.<br>* A maintenance issue involving a broken vent, first reported on 11 March 2025, was never resolved. The fault caused the temperature in the flat to drop and interfered with the heating system. Each time we followed up, we were told that a new contractor had been appointed and would be in touch. Despite sending photos and repeated chasers, no repair was ever carried out.<br>The most serious issue, however, was discovering—through neighbours and the sudden introduction of a waking watch—that the building had unsafe cladding. Our subsequent email requesting further information went unanswered. While it may not be a legal requirement to disclose such issues to prospective tenants, it feels deeply unethical that this was not communicated to us before we moved in.<br><br>It is worth noting that our day-to-day interactions with Kier and Kieran were consistently positive. They were helpful, professional, and responsive in their direct dealings with us. Unfortunately, their efforts were undermined by wider administrative failings wilthin the organisation.
1st Jan 2024 (2 years ago)I was given an inflated valuation to gain my business. Communication was good while viewings were being held and sales staff are very friendly and engaged but if you want sales progression go elsewhere. I have been unable to get much of a response despite chasing repeatedly and I have hardly any visibility of a slow moving sale, falling behind by my purchase which was agreed a couple of weeks later. It’s frustrating and I am saddened to feel KFH have moved on to other priorities once I accepted an offer.
29th Jan 2019 (7 years ago)Throughout a very long and complex sale with lots of issues and potential deal breakers, Richard kept us updated and encouraged. He was always prompt to reply to messages by phone or email. He was always honest and upfront, managing our expectations and delivering difficult news appropriately. With a different estate agent we might not have had the energy to see the sale through. Robert played a similar role throughout the initial part of our sale while we kept having to re-adjust the price in a very tricky market. These guys are the real deal, the opposite of a dodgy estate agent cliché, they know their stuff and genuinely care about their clients.

19th Oct 2026 (14 days ago)I’m a long term tenant at one of the properties managed by Brown & Brooke. Emily and Cameron in the property management team have been absolutely faultless! Extremely prompt to respond to any repair requests or property queries. In fact, they proactively order repair works following routine inspections (which they always mindfully check before coming).

I would really recommend calling Nelson estates up if you’re looking for a property around the area and haven’t had much luck. I have already referred multiple friends over, absolutely recommend this real estate agency and especially my agent Aston!!

Alban’s customer service was second to none when it come to completing paperwork and securing moving dates. A local boutique friendly estate agent who I would use time and time again :)- 24th Feb 2024 (2 years ago)Over valued the property to start with. Their only strategy for looking for new buyers was to continually lower the price.

If you need an higher price, other estate agents will try to find that for you. That might be the right approach for you, but if you want to sell at the market price, Standford’s aim to do that for you.

Although we had a very long buying process (due to issues with the length of lease, and share of freehold ownership - which were down to the seller) Lewis was always on the other side of the phone, and worked his socks off to get the deal done. I really felt that he went above and beyond what most estate agents would be willing to do. Very human, very responsive and working with Lewis made the transaction much more pleasant. Would highly recommend their services.

Really easy to deal with and couldn’t ask for a better letting agent. Very rude and abrupt, you’d think there would be an element of care or desire to provide great customer service considering the amount of competition there is. Recommendation = avoid
