The team at Anthony Pepe are highly qualified and provide exceptional service. The team understand the area through and through and can provide a unique perspective and insight on the market. From being a first home time buyer, this was a much easier process. Umar was exceptional and was probably the reason I bought in the area - outstanding service and would recommend this team for any one's housing requirements
We were recommended Anthony Pepe by another estate agent from another area. Mina sold our house and from the outset stated we were in control and that proved to be the way throughout the process. We didn't feel hassled or harassed and were kept up to date with any developments. Towards exchange, Mina dealt comprehensively with solicitors and estate agents to achieve the end result. Highly recommended.
I have dealt with many letting agents in the past. But first time with a so disorganized like Hobarts, In a matter of hours a flat with parking, furnished and negotiable price had nothing of all that. in 1 hour the price wasn't negotiable. In two hours the flat was only unfurnished and in 3 hours i wasn't allowed to use the parking. What a great experience
Winkworths in Harringey were excellent in selling our house quickly. They were polite, attentive and knowledgable. I would recommend them & use them again.
Winkworth used to be our letting agent in a house where I lived for 4 years and they have been by far the worse letting agents I ever had to deal with.
Their staff is slow and inexpert when it comes to resolve urgent issues in the house, limiting themselves to be a middle man between ourselves and our landlady who was equally lazy to give approval for basic repairs like a broken boiler in mid January or a structural damage in one of the pillars...
On the other hand, they will always be on time to ask you for the rent payments or additional charges if they are needed.
A couple of times they tried scamming us by illegally requesting us to pay for the council letting licenses which should have been entirely paid by the landlords and never by the tenants.
Aside from this they increased the rent a 28% from one year to another the last time we renewed the contract, even though when the contract specified that only an 8% increase should be allowed... That was the year we decided to never again renew with them.
Wouldn't recommend them even to my worst enemies!
Sheikh has been outstanding. I have never met such a helpful, personable and non-pushy estate agent, and I've dealt with quite a few over the years. The purchase of the flat was made incredibly easy by Skeikh who let us view the flat on a number of occasions, helped us sort out contractors visits and liaised with the vendor when we had questions. Like one of the reviews below if I could give 10 stars I would. Wendy and George Boast
Paul Simon helped keep our buyer on board for several months while we experienced a number of issues on our new purchase. They were communicative and supportive throughout.
The Crouch End office was very effective and efficient. We were able to secure a let from the first viewer which showed it had been priced right. Abdi and Penny were both attentive and friendly and I was more than satisfied with their input. I would recommend KFH to anyone.
Absolutely Appalling. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of using this agency to reconsider.
The agent who was in charge of our letting was James. When showing us round he promised many things such as the re-grouting of a bathroom and a professional clean before we moved in. After you have paid he completely denies he ever said these things and says you agreed to the flat ‘As seen’. A phrase which he so rigidly stuck to we expect to move in with him in the lounge as this was technically ‘As seen’.
When we were handed the sets of keys, some of which did not even work, we went to take a look at the flat. The professional clean had undoubtedly never happened. There was half eaten food in the fridge, rubbish under the beds and even ash in the ashtrays. Also despite insisting the flat was ‘As seen’ some of the nicer items of furniture had been removed.
When we tried to ring James explaining this, coincidentally for the next few days whenever we rang we would be told ‘he is out on a viewing’, ‘he is out the back’, ‘he has just had to dash out of the office’ and our favourite - ‘he is on the toilet’. None of us have been able to get through to him despite calling on so many various occasions.
Seeing as James had apparently disappeared of the face of the earth the only suggestion they had was to call the landlady directly. Which makes you wonder what on earth the extortionate agency fees you pay are for, when I asked this I was informed that they do not manage the properties so I genuinely am at a loss as to what that charge is for. The service was terrible, the communication with our agent close to non-existent. I cannot stress how much we would advise against using these agents for lettings.
James and Alexei were brilliant both on our sale and purchase. They went above and beyond on every front. Highly recommended.
We recently bought a house through Castles in Palmers Green and Alexei in particular was the consummate professional - always available, helpful and never pushy as we weighed up our options before taking the plunge. He also did his best to push the very slow vendors into fulfilling their obligations and supplying the required information, but the process couldn't have gone more smoothly given that caveat. We would certainly encourage prospective sellers to have a chat with Alexei about representing them.
