WARNING to all buyers / sellers – be aware that the agents at Acorn have lied to us so they could sell our property.

We made an offer to a property with Acorn and at the same time agreed to sell ours with Acorn, in case of acceptance.
We were told that our offer was accepted and In order to move quickly The representative convinced us to put our property on the market at a lower price to attract more buyers. We were about to receive the first viewer when we coincidently found out from a friend that someone had made an offer to the very same property we made an offer to and that it was accepted on the same day as ours. This person was in a much better position than us as didn’t need to sell (but he wasn’t a cash buyer). We were devastated and called Acorn immediately. Mysteriously, the rappresentative we were dealing with left the branch or took time off. When I confronted the agent on the phone he immediately said that a cash buyer maybe came in last minute. Again another lie. It took three to four days for this person to come back to us and finally apologise.

This experience has left us really disappointed and we still can’t believe that Estate Agents are using these dirty tricks in order to sell properties and get their commissions.

Needless to say that we won’t use them ever again and warn anyone to be very carful when dealing with Acorn.

Best estate agent I’ve ever dealt with.
I spoke to a lady called Robena.
The property I was initially interested in had already been sold. There was nothing else available within my budget but she encouraged me to view a property that was well above my max budget.
After viewing I made an offer that was of course well below asking price.
She negotiated beautifully , professionally, efficiently and understood my situation perfectly.
Due to this the offer was accepted.
I should say that this all took place within 36 hours.

Unique

We originally visited Suzanne and the team at unique to put our property on the market in 2018, after unique arranging 8-10 viewings within 2 months we decided to take our home off the market and stay put.

Suzanne then helped us find the best possible rate and mortgage, as we was on a high variable rate, Suzanne goes above and beyond to find the best possible outcome. She doesn’t just offer the minimum service like most, she has your personal circumstances at the heart of what she does.

I dealt with Nathaniell during my move and he was incredibly helpful. His support in the process made moving much easier at a time which is typically meant to be very stressful. I love my new flat, and am happy with the management of it. All in all, I would recommend renting a property through Acorn.
