I had a poor experience with an alternative estate agent and thankfully moved my house sale to Allen and Harris in Helensburgh. The experience could not have been more different. Mark Docherty and his team are fantastic. I used the tenant finding service from Stoke Gifford letting office in Bristol. The tenants viewings were arranged efficiently. In the process, the letting agent uses numerous companies’ names for operations, which are confusing and difficult to understand why. Currently the company still holds the tenant’s deposit for over two weeks without transferring it to the deposit protection service as the manager initially promised. When asked about the deposit, the manager said he will chase with their accounting department about the issue. After a week has passed and I received the warning from DPS they have not done the transfer. I get no reply with phone calls and emails. It is a bit worrying.
