Telephone conversation regarding a rental property advertised that had unfortunately been removed from the market, led into an additional conversation relating to another prospective property. It was at this point the female colleague learnt that my wife was disabled, and her immediate response to my wife was to tell her that she would need to pay a year in advance, a total sum nearing 16k. On receipt of this deplorable conduct, a complaint was made to the appropriate head office, which led to a conversation with a senior body, followed by email correspondence from the area manager. The explanation for the behaviour was honestly pathetic and stated that her actions were because there contracts ( plural) say so, following further nonsense and recusal: implying and or stating that this is normal practice and that it is not abnormal. Brown and Merry have acted intently with discrimination, dishonesty, and illicit incompetence. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I am unable to give less than ZERO?, hence 1 star.
Worst experience when vacating the house, they still hold my portion of the vacating month's rent money.
I have paid the full rent in full faith on the company that they would return it ASAP, even though we knew/agreed an earlier vacating date.
They won't accept my calculations of refund
My calculation is as follows:
1450 x 12 / 365 = £ 47.67 PER DAY (This was advised/agreed by the staff at Brown's office)
Having paid full rent on 12 DEC 2023 for the month of DEC i.e. till Jan 11th 2024, leaving 14 days on my side to be refunded (3 days 2023 and 11 days 2024).
So the total refund must be £667.39
But they say that they will refund me £639, for which they don't have any specified method of calculation.
