Not to be trusted. I want this on record as I am disgusted with how these “professionals” spoke about myself and my wife. We were portrayed to the seller as “monsters” (yes in that word) - we only found this out when we showed up to the property after exchanging. The sellers were both nervous and said they were told by the Brown and Merry manager that we were very hard-work and can be “monstrous”. Which I can vouch for isn’t true. This appalling behaviour has tainted any future dealings I will have with any Brown and Merry. I am making sure my network know how they act and feel they can portray their clients to people. This has been over 3 years ago, but it needs to be documented how unprofessional and discourteous they were about clients.

We recently used Brown & Merry for our re-mortgage. Andrew (the Mortgage Advisor), was very helpful and took the time to listen and understand our requirements. We've come away with a very competitive interest rate, shorter mortgage term and a lower monthly mortgage payment !

I recently moved to Woburn sands from Yorkshire so didn't know the area. The branch showed me several suitable properties, provided me with "insider knowledge" on the pros and cons of different parts of Woburn Sands and Aspley Guise and were proactive in alerting me to new properties coming on the market. They were happy to take the time to show me the property I eventually bought several times, so I was able to measure up, and make sure it was the right one for me.

I went to brown and merry to see Alex Clifford, one of the mortgage advisors based at this office. As a first time buyer I had very little idea of what I needed to do to get myself onto the property ladder. Luckily, Alex was more than willing to give us all the answers even before we asked the questions. Not only this, but Alex explained how the mortgage lenders work and used his vast knowledge to ensure we got the best deal at a rate we could afford.
I would highly recommend using Alex Clifford, he is at the top of his game and a great guy to go with it.
