I recently came across an ad for a freehold property. When I contacted the agency to arrange a viewing, I spoke with Stacey, who seemed hesitant to book me in and asked some unusual questions. She also suggested I check train times and call back to reconfirm, even though I assured her there were no issues.
We spoke twice, and she never mentioned any specific details about the property. However, she asked me twice about my budget and deposit, which I found strange. She also encouraged me, as a first-time buyer, to consult a mortgage advisor, which I did.
Subsequently, I was bombarded with emails, texts, and voicemails to confirm my attendance at the viewing.
On the day of the viewing, a different woman showed up and first took me to a property infested with termites, despite reassurances that the pest control was aware of the issue.
Unsatisfied, I agreed to see another unit on a lower floor, which was in better condition. However, when discussing the costs, she mentioned a 'ground rent' fee, which confused me as I thought the property was freehold. She then admitted that it was actually leasehold, citing a 'glitch' on the internet.
This was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional!

Alex and Sarina in lettings were excellent finding suitable tenants. The knowledge the understanding they have about lettings is second to none. They were through with vetting the prospective tenants and luckily the 1st two prospective tenants were caught out via their vetting process.
So yes very grateful to both of them for their Sheer hard work and endless efforts to find good tenants.

I can't quite comment on the value as I'm not a direct customer but having recently purchased a house through Connell's Rainham (Kent) I can honestly say they're a really friendly but professional bunch.
It's important to remember that in a house purchase there are many different people involved so it's quite easy to mis-apply blame, but when it came to dealing with Connell's they were prompt, effecient and most of all honest. I felt I was able to have really frank discussions about the process and was ;eft in no doubt that their staff, mostly Jordan, went above and beyond to get the process completed.
The process itself was not without issues, but Connell's absolutely saw those issues not as problems but as opportunities to demonstrate their tenacity, attention to detail and overall customer service skills.
Would happily recommend in a heart beat!

I decided against viewing a shared ownership property and against speaking to their mortgage advisor. I was then interested in another property and sent multiple emails which were then ignored. Highly unprofessional. First time buyer with a DIP/no chain - making it easier for sellers to sell to, but sellers using Connelly's in Rainham may be missing out due to staffs lack of responses.

We found Barry and Dan incredibly friendly and down to earth, explaining their service and the processes to selling our house really well, and not being put off by our hundreds of questions. Before meeting them I was very guarded as I've read so much about Estate Agents and how pushy they can be, and I was taken aback by how NOT like that Barry and Dan were. They were upfront about fees also which I think is imperative when selling a house as the process is all so complex as it is and expensive. Having sent me confirmation emails everyday for a week. Barry from connells in the rainham branch decided to call me just under 2 hours before my viewing of Madden Avenue in chatham to cancel due to the fact he was waiting for someone to collect the keys at any random time to do "maintance" work on a property that's been sitting on the market for over 6months which keeps dropping in price(probably because the estate agency they have asked to sell they're property simply couldnt be bothered). There was no appolgy given or even a call back to rearrange the viewing and I had the deposit ready. Previously having worked in an estate agency in London with over 5 years experience in the sales trade I've never seen anything like this. I'd advise not to give your property to this joke shack in rainham or even waste you're time going to see one of they're properties especially if you are travelling from far.

Very friendly and professional! Kayleigh is absolutely amazing, she took the time to listen to our feedback from a viewing and phoned us with the perfect house that meets all of our requirements. Whole process was very smooth and quick in comparison to other estate agents I have dealt with in the past. Definitely worth using Connells!

My experience with Joanne and Barry at Connells in Rainham has been very wonderful. They are always very ready to help. Joanne has made my first time buying very easy and simple. Do not keep in touch. You got to chase them. They blame you when it's their fault. Used a modern day auction for my uncles house I was told any buyer that bid would have the money this buyer didn't which held it up as it has to complete in 56 days. I got phone call day before completion saying it had to complete or my buyer would be fined. Connells blamed me ???? Rude.....

Couldn't thank the team at Connells anymore for the service they provided when I sold my house. From the initial valuation, Barry gave me confidence that Connells could sell my home. They took the strain off of me completely throughout the whole transaction whether it was the viewings or the headache of the solicitors!
Donna and Kieran kept me fully up to date with the progress of my sale and always answered the phone with a smile!!
I will definitely be using the team at Rainham again.

The connells sales team have been absolutely fantastic! I had Kieran come out to my property which is based in Rainham and he was brilliant because he had great knowledge of the local area and he gave me his honest & professional opinion. I had 4 other agents out to value our home and connells were far the best and we are both happy that we choose them to sell our first home with them.not only was Kieran great but Barry & Donna held our hand through the whole process which made us feel at ease and stress free! I'd give this branch 0 stars if it were possible. They made my first time buying experience absolute hell. I'm sure they would sell their dead relatives ashes if it meant they would get some commission. Communication was poor, no one had a clue what was going on. I was conditionally sold to, which is unlawful. I was told if I didn't use a particular solicitor/conveyancer that I would not have my offer accepted. It transpired that my mortgage lender would not work with said solicitor so I had to instruct new ones (where I incurred additional charges through no fault of my own). I have complained to Connells and they have taken no blame in this and refuse to refund my additional incurred charges. The transaction took longer than necessary due to them not having our buyer details listed correctly. They constantly recorded incorrect details and called me on many occasions to question if I had done something correctly because their records were incorrect or not up to date. As far as my research tells me, the rest of the chain were also left in the dark and some members of the chain have also complained directly to Connells. I was ignored on multiple times when trying to contact the agents, the branch manager ignored us when we came to collect our keys, we received no apology for any inconvenience they caused. I would not recommend this branch to anyone, Connells Rainham are a festering cesspit of estate agents.
