We had a great experience selling with RMJ through the entire process. Initially we were recommended by a friend who had recently sold through RMJ and had a good selling experience, pleased to say we had the same!
Ryan did a thorough and professional job taking us through our valuation, which had a good basis of research and gave a clear 3 point valuation. Ryan and the team also did great work with the marketing, Ryan's photos and walk through video looked super and he also helped with advice for getting us ready for the photos to get the house/garden looking its best. Really liked the clear and succinct nature of the advert, minimal on throwaway sales jargon (IMO this makes me feel like an agent is trying too hard, potentially to mask issues) and based on facts. The team did a good job of managing viewings, always prompt to get in touch when there was interest and never missed out on getting a potential buyer booked in.
I'd say an area for improvement for us was the viewings. We had a couple without us present and then a few with us still in the house and so could over hear parts of conversations. It was clear the person facilitating the viewings was inexperienced, which is fine but we would have liked to see improvement which wasn't necessarily the case. They didn't seem overly prepared as often didn't point out the key selling points of the house, I understand you'd want to leave buyers alone when looking around but really would've expected more sales effort. E.g. little details that would help with interest, like mentioning the bathroom was less than 6 months old, we were staying in the area as liked it so much, south facing garden, primary school and shops nearby etc. The viewings were still conducted in a professional manner and didn't hamper our sale, I just think a bit more effort and attention to detail here may help tip the balance.
We were also a little surprised in the lack of potential houses for us to buy being fed through to us. In the end, the other Medway RMJ branches actually organised more viewings for us and we had to identify the houses we liked ourselves. I'm not sure if it was just unlucky that they had few properties on their books that fitted our needs but there were definitely occasions we were told about houses coming to market but then had no follow up.
Where RMJ really earned their commission for us was the management of our marketing to maximise online views (making sure the advert was complete and timed well for release online) and negotiation. Ryan was very good at understanding our sales stance/needs and facilitated the negotiations with our potential buyers in a pain free way. He gave open advice throughout and we felt confident with our asking price and chances of selling. In the end, we sold in less than a month.
Another part of the service we were very happy with was using their recommended solicitors (Cook Taylor Woodhouse) who were excellent and also integrate well with the RMJ team, who have access (if you choose to) to the solicitor's online document portal which helped with the latest status, clearing blockages and keeping our buyers in the know. RMJ's sale progressor Nina along with Kayleigh also did an amazing job to help keep everything moving, chasing both sides of the chain and keeping us up to date all the way from the point of sale up to completion day (which went extremely smoothly). Nina was always quick to respond to our emails/calls and passed information efficiently between us and our buyers in a professional way, which helped remove a lot of our anxiety.
We were on the fence for a while about deciding whether or not to use an estate agent for our sale and honestly RMJ were worth it. We came to market at a tricky time with mortgage rates impacting the number of buyers and weakening the sellers' position. However, I believe RMJ earned their worth by providing the extra attention to detail (marketing) and support (negotiation, large local network, sales progression team). Very happy we decided to use RMJ. Thank you all who helped make our sale possible!

Fantastic is an understatement for Lee and his team, they helped me to find a buyer for my house in no time and found me a house to buy even quicker. It’s my first time selling a house and was very nervous but Lee explained it all very well and put me at ease, Adam was very professional when carrying out the visits and knew my house inside out which was exactly what I wanted, Ryan dealt with all the offers so efficiently. When buying my first house recently, the house was being sold via the Robinson Jackson branch in Gillingham. Although there were ups and downs, and delays (not because of them, because of my solicitors), the sales progressor: Kay Young, was absolutely amazing. She is honestly a credit to the company. She always kept me in the loop, did the most that she could for me and to get updates for me, and just went above and beyond! I would highly recommend this estate agents, and especially Kay. She is a gem and they are lucky to have her!

On viewing our next property they knew the issues, and have literally done everything they can to assist. When I decided to sell my home, I looked at all the local estate agents in the area and settled on three to complete a valuation of my property. Ryan came to visit me and provided an exceptionally well prepared presentation of RMJ together with providing his opinion on how my property would do on the open market. He brought details of similar properties to mine with him and was able to speak about how they performed to give me an insight of what to expect. I felt he was honest and wanted to work with me to get the house sold. He took the time to understand my reason for moving and what was important to me. On the day my home went on the market, I received a call from Izabela, offering me my first viewing. She was very upbeat and positive which I was very pleased about (how someone has that level of energy at 8:30am I will never know). The viewing turned into an offer on the same day and Izabela was great at communicating between the buyers and myself. Always positive and friendly.
My file was then transferred to the sales progressor Nina who I was told was like a bull dog when it came to pushing the sales process forward.
Nina called me, introduced herself and came up with a plan for the weeks ahead. She explained the process well and made it clear to me that she was there to support and do what she could to help in any way she could. The process turned into anything but a smooth ride with many delays caused my mortgages and solicitors. Nina was great at keeping communications flowing and keeping everyone on track. I received many updates by either phone or email, even if to say “no updates” which I appreciated.
After waiting for many weeks, it was becoming clear to me that the sale was just not going to get to the exchange of contracts. I had a tight deadline to meet and it was just not going to happen. Nina could tell my frustration but remained motivated throughout the entire process. I was tired, worn out and stressed, and for me, it was obvious the sale would not progress any further and I needed to re-look at my options. This meant missing my deadline and causing me all sorts of upset and dramas. Nina listened to my frustrations, emphasised but would always come up with something we could try. I felt Nina always had just one last trick up her sleeve that I hadn’t thought of. At the 11th hour, it was decided the sale wouldn’t progress any further but Nina was still motivated, full of energy and remained positive. She worked tirelessly to work out ways around certain obstacles that were in our way. I was fed up and very disheartened. Suddenly, before we knew it, we had exchanged contracts the following day. This was down to Nina’s hard work and dedication to supporting me. We couldn’t believe it. Not only did Nina have to drag herself across the finish line after weeks and weeks of delays, she also had to drag me too as I had lost all hope and energy. Nina was always positive and highly motivated which kept me going. She never gave up once. If it wasn’t for Nina’s persistence, there is no way we would have reached exchange of contracts. She was truly amazing . I felt Nina was always there if I needed her and that she had a genuine desire to help and support the process. This didn’t seem like ‘just another sale’. Really excellent and rapid service in finding a tenant at the right price. All the staff we came into contact with were brilliant and helpful. The "Open House" number of viewings exceeded our expectations as did the number of offers received. The pace of events was hectic and sometimes it was difficult to keep track of who wanted what information. The Portal gave us some problems and it would have been better to have have had a "tutorial" if this could be possible. Also, we would prefer to see one-off and recurring fees to be shown separately for the sake of clarity.
Full marks also for putting us in touch with EcoPro who cleared our house contents swiftly and efficiently at reasonable cost.
Would we use Robinson Michael & Jackson again? Most definitely!

I recently I rented a house in through RMJ. I was lucky because I missed out on a couple of properties so Kelly contacted me about one before it went on to right move. I talked her into a viewing on a Sunday. Nikki came and showed us around. Thanks for coming on a Sunday! Luckily it was just what I was after.
I then dealt with Stacey regarding all the paperwork and payments etc. She was fantastic. Polite, professional and nothing was too much aggravation for her. Being honest I never write reviews and it’s not often that people wow me. However these girls did!! I must say I couldn’t fault them. Top job, thank you.
