Would not recommend this estate agents.
I had to chase them for feedback every time (however, only had 7 viewings in 4 months!) didn’t hear from them at all for 7 weeks! NO communication at all!! Arranged viewings with totally unsuitable prospective buyers (e.g. a lady with an electric car who wanted to install an electric hook up when there is no driveway-on street parking).
Felt forgotten about as the office wasn’t in our town.
Worse than disappointing.

Having asked Connells to sell my fathers property at the start of this year ,I honestly couldn't have asked for a better team of agents to make everything go through as smooth as it did. Stephen ,Amy and Ben were always there to support me in anything I didn't understand fully. My partner and I attended a viewing with Amber and Jenna today. Both where very professional and friendly.
Amber gave a great overview of the property and ensured we where well informed. She answered all of our questions with a smile.
Jenna went above and beyond to be informative and helpful. She is clearly accomplished and very knowledgeable in her field.
Both of them made the viewing experience a pleasure and where great representatives of the Connells team, they showed us that letting agents can be friendly and show interest in what your personal needs are. We would highly recommend.

We just sold our house with Connells, Carterton. Ben found our buyers by proactively suggesting they view our property - they had ruled the area out but he felt strongly that the property and location would suit them, and he was right! We let the Connells teams do all our viewings and we found them to be an extremely diligent and enthusiastic sales team. We had a few ups and downs along the way but it’s really important to remember that Connells did more than was required in terms of checking our buyers were viable, and so the bumps were not the fault of Ben or Connells, but just all part of the painful process that is selling a house here in the UK! Ben genuinely went over and above what was required of him, as did the whole Carterton team. They anticipated every next step, made enquiries to ensure things would keep moving and kept us appraised at all times. In fact, one of their strongest skills was the fact they often called us with updates - really excellent communication skills. We cannot recommend this team highly enough! You will be in good hands.

Over the past year we have had the pleasure of viewing various properties around Carterton by the amiable 'Jason Baker'. Not only is he a friendly, approachable and honest person but also punctual which I always look for when arranging viewings. In addition to this he has remained cool, calm and diplomatic in the face of differing opinions on houses that I may like but my partner may not which is always a difficult situation to be in. While the housing market from a buyers perspective over the past year has not been great, Jason has made the experience more bearable with his approach to his clients. Absolute joke. Don't ever expect a call back. Every question asked is met with a vague answer which is generally what you want to hear and not always the facts and they blame everyone else, including the solicitor that they told me to use ! We pulled out of our purchase after 9 months wasted and was just banging my head against the wall trying to communicate with this company. I would NEVER go near this company again.

The team at Connells were able to get us viewings for house's that fitted our needs with no issues. I have been into the Carterton Connells branch to register my details as I am looking to buy a property for the first time with little knowledge on how much I can afford. I sat with Ben who was just so helpful. He suggested speak with his mortgage advisor who would run through my situation and would provide me with an exact figure of wha it would cost me monthly. Ben was so helpful and has a great knowledge of the area. I will certainly look to use Connells in Carterton for my mortgage and hopefully be able to buy a property through Ben.if anyone is wanting to buy a property in Carterton and wants a great service then I would recommend Ben in Carterton. Shockingly bad service. Jason seemed very helpful and friendly at first - wow how wrong we were. I suggest if you’re looking for a property with Connells, Carterton don’t even bother.
We had an offer accepted for a property in Carterton. Jason had taken all of my parents information for the AML checks and personally congratulated me on the acceptance of our offer and I was told that my solicitor would receive the memorandum of sale on the same day.
After a day or two of waiting I had not heard anything and so I contacted the office by telephone and spoke someone in the office - they reassured me that the property was taken off the market and that they were not taking any more viewings. I also emailed after this - to receive no response - in fact not one of my emails was responded to. I was assured several times that I would receive the memorandum of sale as soon as possible.
I arranged a second viewing and met with the vendor who was discussing fittings and contents with us. I thought it was strange that a couple was there viewing the property - I was told by Jason that “he was sure they had emailed to cancel” which I understand now was a complete lie. I thought this was strange but again I was reassured several times by Jason.
A week or so later I call Jason again to confirm everything was okay to which I receive a cold response but he assured me once again everything was in order. On the same day, Jason contacts me to let me know that they had been continuing to take viewings and the vendors had accepted a new offer.
There was no intention of issuing the memorandum of sale to us as they were looking to be deceitful and continue taking viewings.
I am shocked and appalled that Connells Carterton think it is OK to raise peoples hopes and essentially lie to them. I am honestly appalled at the service and I would never recommend them to anybody. I will be also logging a formal complaint with the Connells Compliance Team.
Honestly, just find a different estate agent who won’t lie to you!!!!

Had to get a remortgage, Connelles had reminded me with plenty of time before being moved onto the fixed rate, the agent i was with (Jordan) was very flexible and very responsive and knowledgeable, they made the whole thing alot easier for me and oddly enough i look forward to our next interaction when the fixed rate is due to expire again!

Connells Carterton is amazing! I am so glad I went with them to sell our house in the end. Stephen, Jason and Ben are all very helpful.
Ben, in particular, helps us throughout the entire process! He helped us secured and most importantly progress the chain! When we were under tremendous pressure from our buyer, whilst we know it’s not his responsibility to do so, he helped us make enquiries with various people, I.e. solicitors/mortgage broker/the vendors to ensure the chain is being progressed. He has definitely done above and beyond and more which we are forever grateful for!!!
I will definitely go with Connells Carterton again if we are to sell any houses!!!

I could not be happier with the service I have from Connells in Carterton. From not having moved property in 26 years I felt very overwhelmed with the whole process. Steven and Lottie in particular were incredible at getting my house on the market. Went through all the facts, figures and a plan to sell quick.
After just one viewing in the same week of going on the market we accepted an offer and reserved a brand new home. We also had no idea about the mortgage services Connells had, we have used the same financial advisor for over 20 years but Connells proved that they could help save me money and they have certainly lived up to that. Richard has been brilliant with us and made my small re mortgage very affordable.
They have been giving me regular updates on the sale of my house. Anyone looking to sell a property then I’d recommend Steve and his team at Carterton for sure.

If you are looking to purchase your first property, you are in safe hands with the sales team here. Although I didn't end up purchasing through Connells, I am thankful Alicia was able to do my mortgage for me. She's incredibly knowledgeable with explaining each process of buying a house and all the different products that were available. Alicia is very honest and made sure we didn't pay over the odds for things- even negotiating our offers on our behalf. She's quick and nothing has been too much trouble- this has included searching through credit reports to make sure are mortgage was approved. I could not be more thankful for making this stressful time a hell of a lot easier as from working in the industry, many others wouldn't go to the lengths Alicia has. Thank you!

Alicia was so helpful in giving me all the information I needed and making it easy to understand my options for Mortgages. So I would firstly like to thank her for being so helpful and informative. Ben is the agent that I have had most of my contact with and I couldn't of asked for a better person to help me with my first time buy. He is polite, friendly and not your typical salesman, he is honest and has helped me understand the buying process and helped in finding my perfect home. He hasn't tried selling me the first property I see and get the quick sale, he has let me take my time and not keep chasing me up and rushing my decision. Shouldn't even be one star. Absolutely shoddy agency. Poorly organised, poor communication. Had our property on sale for 9 months and they never even put a board up despite frequent requests from myself. Removed the property with them (as we lost a sale) and went with another agency - connells forgot to take it off rightmove for two months even though it was no longer for sale with them. Avoid using them. They have caused no end of stress and hard work.
