Dexters called me multiple times pressuring me to remove this review, so take their 5 star review with a enormous pinch of salt. Shockingly poor service from repairs/maintenance team, they've taken almost a year now to fix a couple lights (still not done after multiple visits - we've been asking them to since we moved in, in March but they seem to just lose track). The only thing they've managed to fix is screwing some door handles back in, which again took months for them to organise. We also have an ongoing damp and mould issue which destroyed some of my property, and staff claimed I was lying in order to defraud them and the landlord, though thankfully my landlord is honest and disagreed with that. Something is obviously going very wrong at the maintenance teams office - does no one talk to each other, ask workmen for reports after visits, or keep any notes on anything?
Edit: even after all of this, they haven't gotten their act together - 2 months after reporting our bathroom light is out, we're still using candles to use the bathroom at night. I cannot emphasise enough how bad Dexters hampstead are at sorting out issues.

The Hampstead Lettings Team of Alexandra, Bradley, Lucy and Rebecca performed brilliantly in handling a very recent transaction for me. The work involved arranging the surrender of an existing tenancy (with necessary legal agreement by both parties), the re-letting of the property at the advertised rent, and all the negotiations, agreement drafting/printing and check-out/in and related matters. All this was accomplished with only a two day gap between the two tenancies! And throughout the whole period I was enormously impressed by how very well the team liaised together and handled all my questions with full knowledge of the up-to-date situation, regardless of which member of the team I was speaking with. To my mind, this displays an extremely high quality of personnel, their training, supervision and management.

Even staf doesn't know the property information exactly. Every staf talk to me differently. If they have two or three offer, they give to higher rent fee option . It is so horrible.

The service they provide was so professional, end to end and top the notch. They have been a dream team for us, except for finding the tenants very quickly, James managed the HMO and Cianan the renovation and furnishing. George Calderara was really helpful in helping me find a great property and with the initial steps to get a deal over the line. He was always easy to reach when needed and very professional. My only criticism (not so much of George but how things are done generally at Dexters) is that I was somewhat misled as I was told the process of buying the property would take 8 weeks (to get in before the end of the Stamp Duty holiday), which turned out to be completely unrealistic and in fact took around 5 months.

Craig Mervish has been an absolute star - my boyfriend and I couldn't recommend Dexters Hampstead enough! He suggested the perfect property to us before it even came on the market, and organised a prompt viewing with his colleague John, who was absolutely brilliant too.
Throughout the process, Craig has been exceptional in his communication and accommodation of our needs, especially during these crisis times. He worked with our new landlord to push back the date of our move in by a month, as my boyfriend is a Type 1 Diabetic and needs to shield for 12 weeks. We really appreciated his 'can-do' attitude, and he has made the whole process of moving into our new flat pain free. Our experience with Dexters in general and Craig Mervish in particular has been outstanding. We moved from overseas and were working with a tight timeframe and a lot of specific requirements. The corporate lettings team as well as Craig rose up to the challenge and helped us find a flat that we very much enjoy. Noone believed us when we said we did a flat search, viewed a bunch of properties, put in an offer & moved in within 2 weeks of arriving in the UK. Very impressed with Dexters - I am a landlord and my one bed flat was empty for 2 months; I was registered with another agency and for some reason we really struggled to let out the flat. Rented through Dexters and moved in recently. I was dealing mainly with Jay, but when he was unavailable I spoke with Craig or the customer care team who always relayed my messages and I was responded to quickly.
The whole process to the point of moving in was quick and efficient. When I moved in I noticed a number or things that were in our contract had not be carried out by the landlord. While Dexters aren't managing the property they were excellent in relaying our concerns to the property managers and totally supported us with our complaints and queries (thank you Jay for putting up with me!) and have gone over and above to resolve our issues as quickly as possible.

Craig Mervish was like a breath of fresh air. We all know that looking for a flat to rent is stressful at best, but having someone as professional, calm, responsive and courteous as Craig was a Godsend. He never put pressure on us, was upfront and clear, played his role as a go-between when it came time to negotiate with the landlords in a transparent and helpful way, and even after the contract was signed still went above and beyond to help iron out any last remaining logistical wrinkles. He and his colleague Jay made an excellent team, and even when Craig was on holiday everything carried on smoothly. The team at the Hampstead branch defied the stereotype of the estate agent. They were helpful, straightforward, clear, efficient and unfailingly courteous through even the most stressful moments of the conveyancing. Their fees were extremely competitive but their service was in no way compromised.
The staff also went out of their way to assist me on one occasion by bringing down a set of keys when I had mislaid my own.
I never thought I would write a review for an estate agency but am more than happy to do so on this occasion.

Wow, the experience of these guys really shows. We had the best quality of attention imaginable from first to last, always being kept well-informed (and reassured when necessary!). Nothing was ever too much trouble. For example, on one Saturday evening I left a voicemail on our negotiator's mobile for him to call me back when he got into the office on the Monday. It turned out that he was on a weekend break in Spain but he STILL called me back a couple of hours later that same evening. That says it all, really, so it will be obvious that I couldn't recommend this outfit highly enough.

Once we agreed the purchase Chris was always available to help and provide advice. Whenever we called the office the rest of the Dexters team were just as helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
