They know the property market and their region inside out and were able to offer useful, relevant advice around my sale. The saying goes "you get what you pay for"—well this lot are worth every penny.
They’ve kept me updated every step of the way, they apply themselves so proficiently it feels like there’s ten of them on the case (I think there's 4?).

We used Dexters when renting out our home in North London and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We were dealing with particularly difficult tenants who had broken their contract and left a trail of chaos behind them. Dexters team were exceptionally understanding whilst maintain a very professional position. The whole team took interest in the rental and made great efforts to move matters along as speedily and efficiently as was possible. Our search for a rental property began in January, well in advance of our contract ending in March, to facilitate a smooth transition. While our offer was accepted and contracts were signed by all parties involved, our experience with Dexters was marred by significant miscommunication and lack of professionalism. Despite our proactive efforts, we were only informed four days prior to our scheduled moving date that the tenant refused to vacate the property. This lack of timely communication and transparency, particularly from agent Lucy, made the situation incredibly challenging for us. Regrettably, Lucy failed to provide any viable solutions or demonstrate basic professionalism in handling the matter. I cannot in good conscience recommend this agency to others based on our experience. Potential clients deserve better.

An appalling service in the agency where we were treated with dishonesty, from the estate agent Jack to the agency manager Jamil. We had given an offer on a property that was accepted having been told it would be put off the market, meanwhile the agency carried on with the viewings in the two weeks where we were getting our admin in order. They then informed us that a better offer was accepted after the two week period. Effectively, we were gazumped. We had to physically go to the agency to get some answers as our emails were met with silence. We addressed this with the director who told us to bid for a higher offer! When we addressed this in the agency, we were met with utter dishonesty and cowardice. Be very wary of this agency.

Over the moon that we came across Dexters for the very first time when purchasing our new home, so much so that we also decided to sell our previous home with them! Zak at the Muswell Hill office was the agent looking after our purchase, from our first viewing to completion and we couldn’t be happier with the masterful way he navigated through the purchase process, oftentimes going way beyond what one would expect.
We got stuck in a very lengthy and tricky process when selling our previous home, but thankfully Zak showed amazing initiative and acted very proactively to help us along the way - getting on the phone with our solicitors, freehold managing company, our buyer’s solicitor and even our mortgage broker and lenders! Who does that? No issue was ever too big or too difficult and his incredible attitude to problem-solving is exactly why we gave Dexters 5 stars. In our opinion, they’re the absolute best - no doubt!

I revisited this establishment after a year to reevaluate my initial one-star review. I wish to emphasize the lack of professionalism demonstrated by this agency, particularly in their limited support for tenants. A dispute arose regarding my deposit, during which the agency falsely claimed I overstayed, despite clear evidence from their agent confirming the timely return of the key. Upon moving in, the property was in disarray, and the absence of a systematic inspection process led to uncertainty about the property's cleanliness and condition upon move-out. Returning the flat in its original state, I now find myself entangled in a dispute initiated by the landlord, attributing the situation to the agency's failure to maintain a clear record of the property's condition. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this agency, and caution potential tenants against the risk of deposit loss without a determined response. I am currently engaged in a dispute, challenging the agency's false claims regarding my alleged overstay.

We went with a dual agency but did not need to, there was no competition where Dexter's were concerned, and got offers through them that far exceeded the other agents. The sale was a difficult one with two separate owners to please, however, the honesty, trust, advice, and professionalism shown by Dexters, particularly by Marlon Brown, and Jack Darnell-Brown, was reassuring and they went above and beyond. Dexters Muswell Hill manage a property on my behalf. I am sorry to say that their Letting admin service is completely rubbish. They never respond to telephone calls or emails. Come up with silly excuses as to why they don't communicate and fail to carry out basic tasks to do with the letting process administration. I am having to resort to getting everything from them confirmed in writing to ensure that its done. Once the current tenant leaves I won't be using their services again.

I hereby wish to edit my review with ''complete dissatisfaction'' of the experience I had with Dexters, As an estate agent myself for over 20 years, I found the methods and ethics used by Jamil in person and Dexters as a company totally unprofessional. We have been led to believe that our potential seller was a ''motivated seller'' from the beginning and turned out to be otherwise. We have made an offer of an asking price for the property in concern and conveyed our intention to proceed as cash buyers. However, it took us only 6 weeks after our offer was accepted to see the property for the 2nd time! It was rather kind of Jamil of Dexters and the seller to accommodate us! Not! The rest of the turning out events were; that we were the ones chasing Jamil about the current circumstances of the seller party and the constant stock-up response from Jamil was '' You have to wait''. Then we found the seller was in a chain, her buyer was on a chain and this chain was as long as the H2 link! Not only were our 4 months + wasted let alone the stress and additional finances that were spent on short-term accommodation and travel costs.
Only then after sending a strongly-lettered complaint about our experience to Marlon, Jamil's supervisor explaining our circumstances of waiting almost 6 months, which will place us in a jeopardy to lose our mortgage offer and Jamil's response was '' But you mean you will not be able to extend your mortgage offer!'' since this was the last straw in our declining relationship with Jamil and Dexters. Hearing this comment and the audacity of his attitude was the breaking point for us. Yes Marlon has managed to turn things around to suggest our deadline date of completion on the 15th of September 2023 the day our mortgage offer would expire, however, it was too little too late and not only we lost all our desire for the property on offer and having to feel that we will be remunerating this particular seller who has been selfishly looking after their interest only. Since then we found a much more straightforward deal and moved into another property with no issues or hiccups. It was not certainly what we hoped but we are much more happier with our decision to pull out of the deal with Dexters after all!
The most awful experience in our lives and I wouldn't wish it for anyone else to experience it. I would not recommend Dexters as an organization to anyone.

They reeled us in with their unrealistic high end pricing which they were ultimately unable to deliver on, and towards the end of the process we felt that they were representing the buyers more than ourselves. A couple of follow up requests have also been ignored. In hindsight their approach was about maximising and securing their sale bonus from the property. Wish I’d taken my business elsewhere.

So a couple of Weeks ago I came in touch With Luke at Dexters regarding the property. After viewing the property and showing Interest Luke told me to fill up a form which he will then send to the owner to give me an answer soon. After calling and several emails the only answer I got from luke was "Let me just talk to the owner and let you know asap" This went on for the 1st week the 2nd week Everytime I Called his colleague told me his not in at the moment. Later while checkingtheir Website I learned the property has been taken down because it was Let probably , Never got any updates from Luke or Dexters regarding what exactly happened. Completely wasted my time. If you are going to Dexters make sure to keep your options open they are not reliable.

We recently rented a flat through the Muswell Hill office and when we moved in we had a few teething issues (fridge and shower screen). I have personally worked within the lettings industry for over 20 years and fully understand how difficult the Property Management side of the job is, and often thankless. I dont usually write reviews however I wanted to make the effort this time to thank Graziana. I called the general Property Management line and thankfully Graziana answered the phone. After a 5 minute call explaining the issues she gave me immediate confidence that she was on the case. Within 30 mins she was back on the phone to say that she was taking care of it. She continuously followed up (before I even thought to) and within a day everything was sorted. Graziana was not only super efficient but also super friendly and a joy to deal with. 100 thank you's, you are amazing at what you do!

Through no fault of theirs, the purchase ended up taking a lot more time than anyone had anticipated. Throughout, Marlon went above and beyond to keep communication open between us and the seller. He maintained the momentum of the transaction and gently moved things forwards.
It's a great flat that we're really looking forward to living in. We really feel that, without their help, our purchase would have struggled. Can't thank Marlon and Antonio enough for all their work and support.

Don’t be deceived by good reviews! --I was lured to engage Dexters Muswell Hill into helping me to process the sale of my property by the 0% sales fees campaign they were running in the summer to grab a market share in our neighbourhood. MH branch manager, Marlon Brown, who signed me up, revealed a “secret” that they were financed by shareholders to "infiltrate" North London with their brandname by buying out dismal estate agents on a brink of collapse, re-branding them into Dexters but retaining previous staff who nevertheless happily went around offering 0% commission on sales and rentals in exchange of positive reviews for the "new in the area" estate agent.
While I already found buyers through Purplebricks, I was contemplating to outsource the “sale processing” from Dexters as an “insurance” in case I'd need to re-advertise again since the previous Purplebricks’-originated chain collapsed due to poor after-sale support. So 0% sales commission surely looked attractive in that sense. How dearly I paid for that “insurance”!! One can imagine that having 3+ months to get to the exchange in a chain-free sale with first-time buyers is easily achievable and I was re-assured by Marlon that Dexters have a *very good sales process* in place to ensure just that! Big mistake to believe that now I had my experience of dealing with such "professionals" —Muswell Hill branch did nothing to keep the sale on track, quite the contrary —they had every motivation to make sure it doesn’t exchange within 3 months after which their 0% fee reverts back to the usual draconian %%% and they can claim it for the sale they didn’t originate or help along!
In fact, I don’t even think they have expertise or skill to provide any help with already agreed sale that I brought them --they hardly ever return your calls and do mishaps at every step but like scavengers quick to demand their share of the sale they contributed 0% to!
I thoroughly regret ever helping this agency to compete with our locals who are knowledgeable and fully deserve their fees. The only consolation is Dexters MH will lose this market share as quickly as they’ve gained it through staff incompetency and excessive fees. Don’t be fooled by their glossy prospectuses printed for the brand name, you are still dealing with people from CJ Delemere who were absolutely awful!

I’ve got to give it to this agency, they are the most proactive estate agents that I’ve come across. They’re the only ones who call me ahead of listings going on Rightmove. I was impressed that agent James Samuels, who contacted me today, actually knew which property I’d previously viewed and what my specifications were. Marlon and sales executive Danielle knew the property market and their region inside out. To this note, Danielle worked tirelessly to obtain an offer for me in less than TWO WEEKS! She seriously oozes market awareness and professionalism and represented me with such competence and passion, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was her own house she was selling, over and above your average expertise.
I'm not easily impressed, yet Danielle managed to astound me last week, I'm so glad she is on my team, beyond slick.

I can’t recommend Dexter’s Muswell Hill enough; I’m now in my newly rented flat and Luke at Dexters was instrument in making this happen! The experience end-2-end, from enquiry to getting the keys, stood out from the myriad of other agents I had spoken to.
Luke both recommended the property I ended up going for (something I wasn’t expecting to happen in this highly digitised ‘self-serve’ age), and then helped me through all the paperwork until I finally collected the keys a few days ago. This included many of my requests such as check-in times to suit my moving schedule and contract negotiation. Also Luke was very responsive to my emails and calls, never radio silent, which stood out.
Altogether, the property and service offered by Dexter’s was a cut-above everything else I found out there. You can’t really go that wrong if you start with a respectable agent.

This review above was left solely because I was requested via email by a Dexter staff member to leave a review has he needed it for a meeting regarding his trail period at Dexter Muswell Hill. I was literally just trying to put in a good word to help a man in a job he was obviously keen to keep.
I will state that I have decided to reduce my 5 star review to 1 star. Why? I must say our experience has been terrible. We took the day out to view a property, and after the viewing and a brief conversation regarding referencing, we have had no response since to the many calls, messages and emails left.
The one email received was this request to leave a Google review in favour of this staff member, but after that we have been totally blanked. It takes nothing to simply let people know the outcome or update them on a viewing.
I know there are many good reviews for this company, and it is one of the reasons we proceeded with them, but for us its a poor poor service.
I hope they will treat others better that they have treated us.

My wife, son and I have been with CJ Delemere for approximately three years. We have always been treated with the utmost respect and attention when dealing with them.
Unfortunately, the present landlady terminated our tenancy due to her returning from abroad and we needed to vacate the property for the middle of December!
Help came in the shape of Calum Weaver who leapt to our help.
There were many questions that I needed to ask and they were always met with such true understanding and knowledge.
He found us a perfect flat (much more suited to my family’s needs) and this could only have been achieved by fully understanding the ‘brief’ we gave him.

Though I can imagine that she must have an horrendous daily workload, it always feels like she makes time to listen to issues that may arise. Her attention to detail is second to none and I am happy that she is managing the new property we have moved to.
The team at CJ Delemere are to be commended on being such a great team.
So much are my wife and I impressed by them, that we continue to use them.
If that is not a recommendation, then I don’t know what is!????

Calum Weaver helped my boyfriend and I to view a property in Muswell Hill. He had a really friendly and personable telephone manner when arranging the viewing. I viewed the property on my own whilst my boyfriend was at another viewing. I really felt like Calum went above and beyond when he agreed to wait another 20 minutes right at the end of the day to let my boyfriend to get a cab over to the property to view it as i really liked it.
