I’ve rented with Foxtons for around 12 years, and overall, my experience has been very good. I’d like to mention the great service from my most recent property manager, Jordanna Peter. She was always professional, supportive, and maintained prompt and clear communication. Her attention to detail and quick responses helped make everything run smoothly.
Additionally, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Chris Cooper since 2013. Chris always approached everything with a genuine, caring attitude that added a human touch to the viewings he professionally presented as a Letting Agent.
I’m grateful for the good service provided by Jordanna, Chris, and the team. Last but not least, I’d like to acknowledge the great support and understanding from Will Pitt, especially during the challenges of Covid. They’ve made my rental experience smooth, and I would recommend Foxtons to anyone looking for reliable and attentive property management.

An untrustable agency. They will not protect your right even unilaterally broke your tenancy agreement with no reason.
My case is : after 5 days of the end of my letting agreement, they sent me an email to notify me that my tenancy agreement was early terminated 10 days before the natural end day and applied charges to my deposit.
The reason is Foxton started another tenancy agreement with a new tenant which had 10 days overlapped with my leasing period.
They did this action so as to avoid violated government regulations. But they didn't mind violating their clients' agreement.

I am beyond appalled and furious with the disgraceful level of incompetence and unprofessionalism exhibited by this Foxtons branch during our search for a flat. My partner and I were under a tight deadline to move out and instead of making the process easier, Foxtons managed to frustrate us more than anything.
Our ordeal began when my partner found a listing through Foxtons and scheduled a viewing. Instead of the original property, we were redirected to a different flat.
I attended the viewing and was assured by Mo, our assigned agent, that the process would be straightforward. We were told that if we liked the flat, we would apply for referencing through Greenford Quay, pay a holding deposit, and if the referencing fell through, we’d get our deposit back. Mo claimed that they had successfully worked with Greenford Quay before and that everything would go smoothly.
We loved the flat and decided to proceed. That’s when the nightmare began. Despite assurances of a smooth process the referencing process turned into an absolute mess. We were left chasing updates constantly, with no clear answers. Mo, who was fully aware of our tight timeframe, was either completely unresponsive or gave us empty promises to “look into it”. At times, he vanished like a ghost, leaving us in the dark with no idea of what was happening.
Frustrated and desperate, we managed to get in touch with Taj, the branch manager “Allegedly“, hoping for some resolution. He listened to our situation, reassured us that he would personally oversee the matter, and promised to get to the bottom of it. But, true to form, we received no further updates or assistance from him either.
Weeks later, It got to the point where we had to physically visit the letting agency because we were being ghosted by these so-called professionals. When we finally confronted Mo in person, he had the nerve to apologise for being “too busy” to return our calls or texts, and then, to add insult to injury, he blamed the situation on changes in the Greenford Quays referencing department’s management—information that would’ve been critical to know earlier.
As if that wasn’t enough, Mo tried to salvage the situation by offering us a supposedly perfect flat that hadn’t even been listed yet. He promised us a first look at the flat the very next morning. I even rescheduled another viewing to prioritise this one, foolishly trusting Mo’s word. But, predictably, Mo failed us again. Despite promising to send us confirmation and details by the end of the day, we heard nothing until 20 minutes before the scheduled viewing, Mo finally admitted that they didn’t even have the keys to the flat, and it wouldn’t be available for viewing until next week! Instead, he sent us a video and a link to a different flat that was also unavailable.
At this point, our patience was completely exhausted. Not only did we have to endure Greenford Quay’s incompetence, but Foxtons also proved to be equally unreliable and unprofessional. The complete lack of communication, the constant misinformation, and the utter disregard for our time and situation were outrageous.
Foxtons has utterly shattered any confidence and trust we had in them. Mo and Taj have ruined our entire experience, and I can confidently say that I will never do business with Foxtons again. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of this incompetent branch. They are nothing but a waste of time and energy.

Foxtons Ealing have been very professional and helpful in getting us to move Ealing Broadway area, they have been a very professional estate agent (especially compared to some of the other agencies in the area).
The seller (living abroad) was quite unreasonable however, they conduct themselves professionally and fairly - rather than pushing us on negotiations. We couldn't go ahead with the purchase due to seller being absolutely unreasonable, however, Binaca has been really helpful in keeping us constantly in communication on any new developments and through out this whole process.

Unfortunately we did not manage to secure the property but I have to say it was a very positive experience thanks to Bianca. She was more than willing to offer her knowledge on the property and anything she didn't know, she took the time to find out for us. BACKGROUND: Several years ago my family had a property to sell. Initially an agent with a low % fee was selected to market the property. This, however, turned out to be an unwise decision as both the viewings, & offers received, were very low. After terminating the contract with the initial agent the family selected Foxton’s (Hounslow) who did an excellent job and achieved a successful sale.
TODAY: When putting my own property up for sale I again selected an agent with a low % fee to market it. Again, this turned out to be an unwise decision. Critical information I had provided to the agent, multiple times!!!, had not been passed onto the buyer they found. This resulted in the buyer pulling out of the sale.
ENTER: Foxton’s Ealing. After the dismal failure of my initial agent I engaged Foxton’s in Ealing. Right from the start of my conversation with Miriame I had great confidence that the sale of my property was in good hands. I provided Miriame, & her team, with exactly the same info that I had provided to my initial agent. The difference ….. Foxton’s made sure every potential buyer was fully informed.
THE STATS: Foxton’s conducted twice as many viewings as my initial agent did, in the same number of weeks!. Not only that, they also achieved a higher offer price.
THE EXPERIENCE: As this was the 1st time I was selling my own property (leasehold with a share of the freehold & some outstanding major works due) I was a little unfamiliar with some of the intricacies of the sales process, all of which Foxton’s (Andy) took the time to explain to me.
FOXTON’S PEOPLE: A huge thank you & shout out to Miriame & her team in Ealing - Bianca Prozsa, Jessica Wolfe, Rhiannon Jenkins for the many viewings. A special thank you and shout out to Andy Hoad not only for the many viewings, but also for the offers received, & the progression to a successful sale.
CONCLUSION: A very positive experience and well worth the higher % fee charged for their services. I am very happy.

Had a bad experience with Foxtons Ealing in Feb this year. I turned up to two viewings with the Agent to find that one of the properties had already been let by another agent. The tenant was physically in the property when we turned up - very awkward. Saw a second property and was rushed into making an offer to then be told that that property had also already been let by another agent when I had viewed it. Obviously, they're not very on top of their admin.
I then made an offer for a different property which was accepted, paid the deposit and months rent in advance, signed the contract was given a move in date to then be told a couple of weeks before my move-in date that the landlord had pulled out. They gave me my money back quickly and were very apologetic, at least.
I ended up getting a property through a different estate agent with no issues at all. Attempting to go through Foxtons turned out to be a waste of my time.
I got the impression that they rush everything from advertising properties, getting potential tenants to make offers and getting landlords to accept said offers with none of the parties being 100% happy. They were very nice people but clearly not very organised/competent.

I had a very bad experience with Fixtons Ealing. The property viewings took place in a hurry. Even in the office when I placed my offer, my booked estate agent had to leave for a different meeting. I paid a holding deposit, didn’t receive the answer from the landlord for weeks (although I was told it will happen within one week) and now I am still waiting for my holding deposit to be refunded. The estate agent doesn’t answer and doesn’t care! I am thinking about taking legal advice!!!

In August 2023 I put my Ealing town house on the market with four estate agencies including Foxtons. Over the next three months (when mortgage rates were very high) there were 52 viewings, 31 of which came via Foxtons alone. Their introductions brought about an offer which I accepted and resulted in contracts being smoothly exchanged after only nine weeks despite the Christmas break during which our solicitors had closed their offices.
Throughout the whole process I was very impressed with all of the staff at Foxtons Ealing office who conducted themselves in a very professional manner, especially Miriame and Andy who maintained close communication with me throughout.

Absolutely horrible experience.The contract doesn’t have standard terms like a break clause so now I am stuck in a tenancy with no flexibility. The agent basically pushed us along and created a ‘scarcity mentality’ and told us ‘we are being too picky’ I would definitely advise you to keep as far away from this agency as possible.

Foxtons has the worst customer service once you agreed on anything. I would strongly advice any renter not to work with Foxtons, as they are a nightmare.
Their sales team is alright, polite and everything, but once you agreed on a property, their support team is just the worst and caused me a lot of trouble:
1) They have made numerous mistakes in the contract, I have to check the terms and typos many times. Once they fixed one thing, another thing is wrong, as simple as the correct spelling of the tenants' and landlords' names are only correct in version 8 of the contract.
2) They are heavily leaning on the landlord's side and not helping the tenants. They tried to include law-violating one-direction break clause in the contract for the landlord and only changed it after I have showed them it is against the law.
3) Upon the renewal of the contract, they mistakenly went and informed the council that we moved out and have not informed us that they did such thing, causing our council tax direct debit to be cancelled, and thus resulting in owing the council tax for months and bailiff showed up at our door. Caused months of headaches and huge sum of monies upfront for the bailiff to solves this issue with the council. Foxtons is fully aware that we are still in the property as they obviously did not return our deposit. But they are just this unprofessional to make such low-level mistakes.
4) As mentioned, they are heavily biased towards the landlord. On the dispute with the landlord regarding the deposit, they have not given us a single reply over a whole month after the tenancy ended. But they have continuously communicated with the landlords.
My advice is to go with smaller agencies, as they are usually more professional and dedicated.

Here is my little side story finding my new home, I have spent over two weeks with “RSK” to rent a one bed flat, after viewing a place I have submitted my offer same amount of the asking price, later on I was told landlord not responding, after chasing for two days, I was told they have received many offers and if I want to increase my chance for approval first of all need to increase my offer (offer higher than asking price) and lock yourself into 48 months break. Which I did that.. then days after days no response, then I was told the landlord decided to give the property to another letting agency. Which was complete waste of time! After all I gave up with RSK and visited Foxtons, in same day I have viewed several properties which was in area of my interest and singed my tenancy contract with an absolute zero hassle, I was also offered free transport for viewings, and beverage whilst I was in the office. Foxtons also uses one of the lead and trusted referencing agencies where all your personal/sensitive information kept safe with brilliant customer service line. In my opinion a professional estate agency should vet the quality of landlord they advertise for. I have had a terrible time with a sub standard landlord who has left me without a functioning toilet for 9 weeks. Probably even more significant is the gas safety certificate that expired two months ago. I believe this to be illegal. I have contacted Foxtons on four different occasions to ask for help. I have always spoken to polite young people who promise to follow this up and call me back. No one has ever called me back. They clearly wash their hands of any responsibility as soon as the fee has been collected despite having a duty of care to the tenants. I have now raised these issues with the local council and the Health and safety Executive.
I will now attempt to contact Foxtons at a more senior level and raise a complaint.
Please take my experience into consideration when deciding which estate agency to use.

Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. When I got a flat from them I was very pleased with the agent (Amy) that was helping us out.
Closer to the end of the tenancy they (various agents) have clearly shown they do not care about their clients. 3 months in advance they started spamming me with calls and emails about the end of the tenancy and potential viewings with no notice. I had explained them that our jobs involve a lot of working from home and meetings but it didn't make any difference. Leaving aside that we would have to make arrange to .ove our dog out of the flat as he is anxious around strangers. Agents like them selves are the only reason that rents go up uncontrollable as all they care about is their commission.
By the way @foxtons when you want to play the contract card make sure you at least have read it.

We searched our first apartment through them and were utterly disappointed. I heard that they were quite expensive and professional but our experience was horrible. After paying 5 weeks deposit money and signing the tenancy agreement for an apartment, the estate agent stopped taking our calls or responding to our emails. Right after making the deposit payment, we spoke to Andrew Kaskow (who was handling our case) to remove the flat listing from online portals and he assured us that the flat was ours. However, after a week of no communication, Andrew called to let us know that the owner had rented out the apartment to some other tenant. I am not sure whether it was the owner or the agent who deceived us but we were left stranded in the midst of this pandemic. We had to restart our apartment search again as most of the apartments we had seen earlier and shortlisted were off the market due to delay in placing our offer. I would not recommend Foxtons to anyone.

We have just completed the sale of our flat through Foxtons Ealing, and we were exceptionally fortunate we had the team of Adam O’Leary, Gary Runnalls, and Tony Ikeji on the team. First and foremost, Tony was incredible at showing the flat to viewers during what was a difficult economic period….always passionate, always persevering, extremely friendly, diligent and motivated. On top of that Tony was an extremely personal chap who genuinely took and interest in our families life and needs. We cannot thank him enough for all of his hard work. Secondly, the Covid era made the sale even more difficult and we have to say a massive thank you to the hard work for Adam for keeping the deal alive and moving. Similar to Tony, Adam was extremely personable and took a genuine interested in our lives and the need to move. Angat from the lettings department recently went above and beyond in our property search. During the COVID-19 lockdown, many letting agents were unresponsive, but Angat did everything to try and find us a property.
We put in a few offers through Angat, which unfortunately were not accepted due to us having a dog, but nonetheless Angat tried very hard each time.
In the end, we did not find our property through Foxtons, even though my husband and I were really hoping that we would so that Angat could earn his much deserved commission.
The service that Angat provided was outstanding and I would definitely recommend him and therefore Foxtons Ealing too.

We believed that Foxton was synonymous with quality we were wrong. After paying £420,00 of fee, 11/11/2017 no one came to check us in. We had to go and get the keys at the agency, only one set, when a contract was provided for two, to have the second with key box past a month. So a month without being able to check mail. The house was in the condition that you can see in the pictures. It had to be unfurnished instead it was full of furniture that we had to move us. Garbage that was not removed, we waited days for them to send someone just as they told us, and in the end it was the concierge who removed my condition after two weeks due to my pregnant condition.
Since no one checked us in, we stayed 4 days at zero degrees, I was pregnant and with a child of 11 months, we also complained to Citizens Advice. And after 4 days the manager of the house came to unlock the radiators and the boiler with a tool we didn't have.
In addition, the house also had the following minor problems: chandeliers without light bulbs, the leaking sink, the detached floor, non-silicone bathrooms from which animals came out at night. We made several complaints, in the end the mail, only one person helped us A.P., the rest was screwed. We also tried to pay the rent with the deduction sustained by the work we had to do, but they threatened to throw us out. Thank goodness after a year the property manager changed and things seemed to get better. They seemed, because as soon as we gave the notice, the viewings started for two months, even an agent that I hope he was fired, he wanted to do viewings every day 2/3 times a day without giving notice as foreseen by the contract, hell.
Besides the photos as proofs we have all the emails and messages and we will turn to the competent organs.

Ever wondered why estate agents got such a bad name? Well here's the reason. They will not listen to you, they will not select and curate a viewing list based on your criteria, they will simply show you everything on their books. Even when they don't have the keys, or when the owner is out of the country they will still insist on wasting your time and showing you the outside, for whatever reason. Fortunately not all are like this. And there are several independent agents in the area who actually do their job with integrity and intelligence.

I had a very positive experience of property search because I was lucky with the agent. If you want to have a prompt, attentive and result-oriented customer care service -ask specifically for Angat Kamboh. He helped me to find a property to rent in one day in 2017 and he also helped me now. His approach to customers is consistent and efficient. He listens and understands the needs and really into his work. He has exceptionally good people interaction skills and makes the process of property search less stressful. He is also proactive and does his best to find solutions when, for instance, the landlords are not very flexible or you are tight with deadlines. I would highly recommend to ask for his assistance if you are looking to rent in Ealing area in particular.

The company itself are ok, we had a great experience for two years with the one in Shepherd‘s Bush. Unfortunately the current flat had some basement items to be removed alongside an oven which door had to be replaced. One month in the flat both are yet outstanding to be fixed. The landlord seems to be great but the property Manager Filipe Carlos lets him down. Very slow with anything, the basement items are supposed to be removed and taken out the deposit of the previous tenants, to which the landlord has agreed, but Filipe waits until the previous tenants are getting back to him - as if this would ever happen. He suggested that the oven isn’t needed as we have a hob and microwave - WTF?
So be sure you don’t get him - his boss is yet to get back to us as well with any update.

I have been a tenant with Foxtons for two years and it has been a hassle since Day 1...
Rather than supporting our application, it looked like they took pleasure in creating admin obstacles.
We ended up working with Savills which offered us a much better experience and allowed us to move in a safe property after having been assaulted and robbed in the Foxtons one. This happened while on the phone with them and they did nothing to stop the ongoing assault...
I particularly recommend to avoid Madlen from the North West Lettings Division.
I believe that taking them to court will be very time consuming so I hope this review will allow some to walk away from them...

You hear often harsh comments on aggressive and arrogant Foxtons agents. I did encounter some of them. Then you meet people like Tatiana Xyda from Ealing office and you change idea on Foxtons.
In 2013, Tatiana patiently and tirelessly showed us more than 20 apartments, progressively meeting most of the long list of requirements we had put forward. We drove to different areas, seeing flats with different sizes, specs, layouts, exposure and prices, until I found what fit our needs (with a clear knowledge of the property market in West London).
A couple of years later, I had no doubts in contacting her again, to further climb the famous property ladder. Tatiana regularly but still discretely contacts us, proposing new views (requirements in the meantime have become more stringent, so the challenge is tougher!).
A big thank you for all the time spent with us.
Tatiana is an example of how an estate agent should be!

It was about five years ago when I first time let my property in Ealing through Foxtons. Alexi and his team at the time were very helpful and professional. However I had a very bad experience with Foxtons when my first tenants moved out. At the time when my tenants moved out Alexi was working somewhere else so he wasn't able to help me with the problem with my tenants when they moved out (they have taken some of my stuff from the flat, they have burnt top of my expensive chest of drawers, they have broken loo and replaced the original white loo seat with a brown wooden one. They have ruined my two matrasses and flat hasn't been cleaned professionally. When I complained to the manager at the time he didn't do anything about it and I was very disappointed with the service that I had received. When Alexi came back to Ealing office he phoned me to check if my flat was still on the market for rent. I told him what I have been through after he had left Ealing office and that I would never let my flat again with Foxtons. Alexi was very sympathetic but very professional and he asked me to give him another chance which I have reluctantly agreed with him. It didn't take him long to find me a very nice new tenant (Alexi new what kind of tenants I was looking for. I am glad that Alexi is back in Ealing office and I would highly recommend him. I hope he stays in Ealing office for much longer. I wish him all the best in his career. We need more people like Alexi. Alexi, you deserve all 5 stars. You a star alredy.

I recently exchanged on a house sold by Foxtons. Tatiana Xyda was the sales negotiator on this sale. From the start she has been really helpful and professional both with organising viewings, driving me to the property and arranging an additional viewing after the offer had been accepted. It's fair to say that the sale was not straightforward and was quite significantly delayed. Tatiana was really great at trying to get things done - always keeping me informed and chasing up with all the different people.
