We recently sold a one-bedroom flat in Chiswick through Foxtons, and we had the pleasure of working with Zoe Ward and Adam O’Leary. They both demonstrated exceptional professionalism, especially when it came to managing not only the transaction but also the interactions with the buyer and their lawyer, which were critical to keeping the deal on track. The process was made needlessly challenging due to a nervous first time buyer and inexperienced conveyancer (e.g. enquiries about the ownership structure of the flat should be established at the outset not 5 minutes before exchange!). Zoe and Adam navigated these many trials with great patience and their proactive approach and commitment ensured the transaction moved forward despite these challenges. I have been involved in various real estate transactions over the last few years and this deal really highlighted that, whilst finding a buyer is obviously essential, it is transaction management that gets the deal over the line. Zoe and Adam excelled in this, and without their dedication I feel the sale would not have competed. I cannot recommend Adam and Zoe highly enough!

I had set up two viewings for properties on Arlington Road, St Margaret’s more than 48 hours ahead. Two hours before the appointment I received a call saying the tenants had not been notified in one property and in the other property the tenants were away and the agent didn’t have keys so could not show us around. Considering that we had more than a two hour drive and were already almost at our destination by the time I received the call I find this totally unacceptable. This agent clearly is not capable of managing tenants and viewings and if these were my properties I would seriously reconsider my choice of agent. Our house is also on the market and my agent has keys and shows people around when I’m not there, which is entirely normal.

Utterly unprofessional conduct by this office. They had myself and my wife booked for a flat viewing in Chiswick yesterday afternoon and the agent cancelled at the last minute and only after I got in touch to confirm the meeting on the day. We wasted our time and money travelling 2+ hours from/to north London. Their excuse? That the current tenant would be out of the property at short notice... This agent is incompetent in coordinating access matters with their clients and has complete disregard about the impact on our time and money. Totally unreliable - stay away!

I just sold my property with Foxtons Chiswick, and Adam dealt with my case from their sales team. Although Foxtons charge a higher fee, Im very happy with their service, transparency and approach, and I highly recommend them. Adam was fantastic along with Dominic in his team. Foxtons understood the market, priced my flat correctly, did not push me even once to lower the price which I loved and was pleasantly refreshing. This was unlike another high street big brand agent that overpriced my flat significantly to secure the deal, and ended up wasting good few months.
Once the deal was secured, Adam was personally on the case and regularly updated me on the progress with the buyer and their solicitor. The way in which Adam communicated, and reassured constantly was extremely calming, and I always felt that this transaction is in good hands.
There were multiple legal and financial challenges, and Adam kept on top of them by I constantly pushing and influencing the buyers solicitor and proving me advice on dealing with my solicitor.
I would certainly deal with Foxtons and Adam/team again!

From the start her professional and “nothing is too much trouble” attitude impressed me so much so that after she drove me around for viewings, she got my trust to the point that I canceled all other appointments with other agents.

A bit overdue leaving this review, but last summer was an incredibly competitive time to find a place to rent within a reasonable budget and to the specs that we were hoping for. I was dealing with about five different estate agents and found that there was no help in introducing me to properties, many times I didn't get a call back for requested viewings.

When I met Adam O’Leary, I was more interested in letting out our flat again because our current sales agents both wanted me to drop the asking price by more than 15% “due to market conditions”. I was told the market might recover within 2 years! So it was just hoping for good tenants.
Adam was sure he could help sell it and practically begged me to let him show the flat to some of his buyers. His earnestness convinced me, we listed with Foxtons at the original asking price and before it even appeared online we had our first offers. Within a week we had a cash buyer at asking price and a day or two later a second offer that well exceeded it. Just phenomenal work.
While getting and accepting the offer was lightning quick, the conveyancing process was anything but. However, Adam and Ryan were brilliant and professional throughout - very communicative, very patient with my often exasperated tone, explaining very clearly what the hold ups were and what we could do to help move the sale along. When we finally completed we got together for a drink to celebrate. Thanks again Adam! I’ll recommend you to everyone and will be back when I’m looking to buy again.

I was really impressed from the first day how well Adam presented his in-depth knowledge of the market and properties in the area but also how well he listened when he first visited the property. There was no rush in the visit and he and his colleague were quite happy to chat for some time - not always about the house but current affairs, sports, music etc which I thought was excellent.
Foxtons recommended a solicitor to help with the process of selling, which ran so smoothly in under the 3 months it took from valuation to completion. Adam and/or his assistant Will would get back very quickly if I ever had a query, sometimes on the phone or text/email when I was at work.
I found them professional, friendly, honest and so easy to work with from start to finish. Without a doubt the best experience I’ve had from any Estate Agents in 35 years.

Adam and Dominic marketed and sold our house, (this year) within three months of acceptance of an offer.
Adam and Dominic were utterly professional, refreshingly respectful of both us and the buyer and their objective was always to reach completion. Their professionalism ensured that the objective was never lost but the process was handled with civility and we valued their guidance when we encountered contentious points.
Adam and Dominic also had a strong grasp of the local and national property market which at times was fast moving. We always felt valued as clients with our calls returned in good time and their use of WhatsApp to update us or provide information was excellent.
Adam and Dominic were also able to guide us as to certain services to ensure we presented our house in the best possible way by introducing us to ?harles Okwuosa who heads up Foxtons’ concierge service. Again, Charles was extremely impressive, polite, responsive and once he understood our needs, able to recommend all variety of service providers, including decorators and staging professionals.

Disorganised right from the beginning of our tenancy right through to the end. When we moved in, we had to call Foxton's for a lot of the previous tenant's belongings and bags of rubbish to be taken away, and a few of the things in the flat were not working as expected/broken, so it appears a thorough check had not been carried out prior to us moving in.
Another issue to flag is that they will try to keep your tenancy deposit after moving out without comparing the check-out report to the inventory and deduct money for 'damages' that already existed at the start of the tenancy. It is their job to compare both documents to make decisions about the tenancy deposit fairly, but alas, they didn't do their job on this occasion (our property manager was Tamara). Be mindful that they'll try to do this and raise a dispute if it happens.

Even though I will not rent with Foxtons this year, Rumi is an agent that is worth mentioning, and an agent that I would like to see in any branch or agency.
Rumi is one of the most efficient agents I've ever seen. Always replying instantly to any voicemails, e-mails, also sending over videos and information, within minutes, knowing all the details to every single property. She tries to work ways around to make things potentially work, and personally, I really appreciate a problem-solving oriented person such as Rumi.

I sent to Foxtons on January 19th to apply for the change of the occupancy, but it has not been completed until July 7th. During this period, I sent emails and made phone calls for more than 50 times, but Courtney Allen, the property manager, always found various reasons to delay. She told the new tenant last week that the contract would be sent to us last Wednesday, but she didn't. I called her last Friday and she said she would give me the new contract this Monday, but she didn't. I called her this Wednesday and she said she would send me the new contract that afternoon, but she didn't. She has cheated me many times, and always used various excuses to delay, wasting my time and money.

I was handed over a house with so many damages, and it wasn’t deep cleaned.. even though Zaid promised me to fix everything before we move into the house. Worst agency ever…

I have been receiving so many calls from this office despite requesting multiple times for communications to be done via email. Last week I spoke with someone from the Ealing office and gave them details of what I am looking for (even though I have spoken to several other agents from foxtons since March). Yesterday someone called me from this office and informed me that they were calling first time buyers because « there are some people who have no intention of buying seriously and just do viewings as a hobby which is wasting time. » Today, I got another call from the same office to check what I am looking for. I explained I’m not able to speak because of work commitments, the person said that this would mean what they send would not be tailored. How many times do I need to take calls and give my requirements for you to tailor things? Are these people getting paid based on the number of phone calls they make? What do they think we are all doing during the week? Waiting for their calls? Also, I am suspected of not being a serious buyer? Maybe they should consider whether they are a serious agency that is able to communicate internally to avoid wasting the time of prospective buyers?
So let’s clarify yes I am looking to buy a flat, no I don’t have the luxury of spending 15min daily on the phone with every agency that calls, this is the 21st century using emails is a reasonable option, please don’t harass people with phone calls when they are at work…
Also, the agent didn’t even bother to do what he said he would, didn’t send the properties via email. So apparently unless you agree to just chat endlessly on the phone, you’re not able to get the service. Such a backward and outdated approach to sales and client service.

Incompetent service, using the same old technique :
1. Calling you to promise the moon whilst ranting about how the market is so very competitive and you should up the budget
2. Scheduling a viewing to show you the abundance of properties matching your interest
3. Calling you with 30 min before the appointment to cancel the ONE flat they were about to present with a very feeble lie and poor game
Maybe this is just an isolated case and you're more lucky!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Despite signing the lease one month in advance, once they had our deposit, there was absolutely zero communication leading up to move in day and we were handed keys to a filthy flat— the move in inspection conducted by a third party was 114 pages long. Immediately, Foxtons was contacted about the lack of cleanliness and cleaners were sent a few hours later who completed a surface level job. An inspection of the appliances was not carried out before move in as several are it functioning including the washing machine. Five days later and we are still not sleeping in our flat. Be sure to have a hotel on standby if you rent with Foxtons.

We were selling our parents’ house and moving our disabled brother to a new home. I had completely lost faith in estate agents but the manager of Foxton’s Chiswick branch, Tom Wright, managed to restore it, assisting greatly with a getting us a high purchase offer and with a non-communicative conveyancing solicitor. His suggestions for removal and cleaning companies were ideal. More importantly he took time and trouble communicating with our disabled brother. Foxton’s photographer was perfect also. Full marks.

It is a scam, do not rent through Foxtons. All very nice at the beginning of the contract, then completely unhelpful during the contract. I was left without a working toilet in the flat for weeks and only when I threatened legal action I was given alternative accommodation. Then as soon as the contract finished and we had to deal with the deposit, no one replies to emails, everyone stops answering. I was charged for stuff that was never even in the house and 300£ for professional cleaning when the house was given to me domestically clean.

This is a hard case because of the shared ownership legal work and cladding issues for mortgage. However, Bruno and his colleagues are extremely helpful to help us to go through it step by step, by effectively coordinate with the landload, the selller and two side solicitors for paperworks, also promptly communicate and feedback to us. Had to clean it ourselves before we could properly move in. Left the flat pristine and was really looked after throughout our term. Lease now ended and are still awaiting our deposit. Will not return calls or emails. They just ignore.

Can not be more disappointed than renting a flat from Foxtons Chiswick!
They will be very kind and sneaky, will do everything while they will show you around the property that they have available for rent, they will ask for feedback on how they are doing, if is there anything they can do to find us what we are looking for, they will tell you that everything will be done as agreed in the contract, and once they will have your deposit and the 1st-month rent they will forget about you and never will replay to your emails and never will pick up the phone calls...
So since they asked for the feedback I will write here everything that they need to work on, especially to work on the agent's behaviour...
At the outset, I gave a long list of things that needed to be fixed. Here to start: kitchen flooring to be fixed and the tail to be replaced (as it has been missing even before the old tenants moved in, most probably they also asked for it to be fixed but never has been done), the bedroom doors are not closing so I can't call it as a bedroom since I'm not able to close it, the radiator isn't working since previous tenants used to live here, and you can imagine how cold can be in a room which the heating isn't working, mould persists everywhere and the lady named Harriet assured us that all these things are a job to be done in a max 3 days, including whole flat to be repainted - to get to a move-in date to understand that all that she had said was a lie. The keys are not done all the sets as needed to be done, and the agent Harriet is ignoring me and not replying to my emails.
It is almost a month since we moved into a property managed by Foxtons and I'm still waiting for any of all these issues to be resolved and most probably the contract will end and they will not do anything, because all what they care about is MONEY and nothing else.
The property manager seems to be very busy all the time as she is never available to answer my phone calls/emails.
Supposed to be fully managed by Foxtons but apparently, we are fully lied to by Foxtons!
I feel sorry to say all these things but as they behave so with me I with behave the same way...
I'm not paying for things to be fixed by me, I'm paying for allegedly fully managed.
Totally disappointed with the service provided by this Agency and also the agents there are very rude and If they see that you are not an English resident - they will destroy you totally and will treat you poorly.
I do not recommend this agency to anyone and not wishing to anybody such an experience like I'm having now.

Just to list what they did:
-illegally entered the flat without our permission to show new tenants around.
-lied to our landlord about new prospective tenants moving in, when it fell through they pressured us to move out earlier, making it look like we were trying to break the contract to our landlord.
-tried sneaking in extra costs, that amounted to them double dipping on rent commission by having the new tenants and us paying at the same time, again, without telling the landlord
-awful communication, rarely spoke to the same person and even in office didn’t want to speak face to face. Problems were only resolved by higher level management as the low level grunts only care about their money and can’t actually do anything helpful for you. Used covid as an excuse, but that’s pretty tenuous seeing as EVERYBODY is in that situation.
Use Dexters instead.

It's been more than a year now that Foxtons has not been able to solve our balcony door problem. We spent the winter season with an open balcony door. Their engineers come with temporary solutions and then the door gets broken again and again. We now asked to our council to come and investigate the problem because we are done with Foxtons' arrogant and insufficient attitude. They just care about you until they make you sign the contract. Poor and amateur service.

They don't care about tenants's issues at all, they just "seem". If you have an issue in your property, you need to open an issue in your Foxtons account and wait them to answer for ages. They never follow up your issues and you need to call them hundred times and ask the status of your issue billions time. It's been ages we are waiting them to solve our issue in the property and they don't follow up at all. I think the whole service system in the UK is awful, it's not just Foxtons. Avoid them anyways.

Foxtons should put more friendly people at receptions in the branches, and they should audit the calls of their "sales" agents. This isn't the first time I've had bad customer service from this agency but today I received a call from Zayd from the Chiswick office and I understand even more why everyone I know hates Foxtons. He was rude, unprofessional and incredibly pushy... basically lived up to the agency's reputation.
Go invest your money elsewhere people, if these agents can't be friendly in the early stages of the sale imagine what it would be like if they managed your property.....

I am an expat and a fresh UK property buyer and at last I bought a very nice property. I am really impressed in Gary's:
1) professionalism: listen my requirements, reply my questions, recommend solutions, best knowledge of London property market
2) leadership: I am satisfied with the property but not satisfied with the lease clause. As you know in general landlord are not motivated to change the clause of lease. Gary lead to make it. Gary also makes tremendous effort to communicate among solicitors,letting team,buyer and seller.
3) friendly: My spoken and listening English is not good but writing and reading is good. Gary is patient to text me through whatsApp for communication. Gary is always smile at often

I rented with Foxtons Chiswick – so you don’t have to.
Throughout the tenancy the agency is keeping low, only coming out when they need to collect sizable sums of money for sticking a new date on your contract. But as soon as you give your notice all hell breaks loose. Expect to be treated as part of the property’s furniture at best.
The viewings for new tenants are booked with notices starting from 10 minutes and most of the time the notice is sent via email just stating the fact that they will come with their own keys. If you haven’t seen the email – it’s your problem. They book 1 or even 2 hour slots any time apart, so if you are around (or want to be), you will be waiting for a while, as they sometimes don’t even hit those slots and are late without warning or apology, or sending a cancellation email way after the time slot has passed. On one occasion the agent was so out there, she didn’t even bother checking if anyone is at the property and proceeded to open the door with her own keys not even trying to ring a bell.
Don’t forget that all that joyful experience is included in your monthly rent, which in our case was over £2200. So for that money you basically don’t own your place for the notice period (2 months for us) of your tenancy. After 1 month of this mess with sometimes 3 viewings per day we had to move out as it was impossible to be there with constant stream of people coming through whenever they please. Polite requests to give more notice and turn up on time didn’t have any effect and when we finally turned down a viewing request that was given just 2 hours in advance the agency phoned our landlord to whine about the fact that we are not giving them access to the property. And it was probably one of the 3 viewings we ever cancelled (out of 20 maybe).
We dealt with at least 6 or 7 different agents and only 2 of them were actually acknowledging the fact that people still live at the place. Others were treating it as an open house. I hope the remaining good agents find a better place to work for themselves not be associated with this bag of snakes.

Made an offer, the landlord accepted, paid the deposit, signed the contract, made all arrangements for moving (like hiring a storage place, sorting out accommodation for the weeks prior to my moving) and I was told by the agent the place was already mine. Appalling service. Wanted a short term let and they lied through their teeth to secure us, were useless throughout when advised of the rampant mice in the property. Then absolutely robbed us at the end by claiming we had asked for things from the landlord which we hadn't, just so they could keep our deposit for the landlord.
Took it through the deposit service and even though they found in our favour they still took some money, despite having written evidence of Foxton's lies. They are complete crooks with no concern for your wellbeing. AVOID!

Terrible company. Only interested in profit. Eventually had to release us from tenency early due to extreme damp in property after involving the local council. Before we did they were completely unhelpful and only seemed to care before you sign a contract. Terrible customer service. My "account manager" Alan was totally incompetent and very rude. He had poor communication skills and let us down on countless occasions. Saying he would call then wouldn't bother. Do not use Foxtons.

I am one of the tenants living in one of the properties that Foxtons in trying to sale , their unprofessionalism is incredible. We have few different situations when they did respect the law and the tenants that live in the property and we still paying our rent .
Ryan Kepalas didn't locked our rooms after one of the viewing , leaving all our bellows exposed ,and lying about the situation , when one of my flatmates witnesses exactly what happens, and basically he didn't bother about close the rooms. All this in a house where the front door is made with glass.
Nadeel Jafar try to force a viewing without respect 24 hour legal notice, when I let him know we are happy to facilitate access to the property always with 24 hours notice, he reply my email being absolutly rude and unprofessional, and lying saying that the rest of the tenants was happy allowing the viewing when this wasn't true.
If you gonna sale your property with this agency , be really careful because you will allow this group of unprofessionals agents work in your name and you can end up having a lot legal problems.

The service was a different level with Foxtons - their sales team were engaged, friendly, helpful and always available. Chris Howard provided an excellent service, paying attention to detail and always keeping us updated with any progress made. Joanna and Chan were also superb. We had tons of viewings in a difficult sales climate, they negotiated a fair offer and managed the process through to exchange of contracts with total professionalism. It was a struggle to get our house sold but we always felt the staff at Foxtens were supportive in every way. In the early stages Chan, Harvey, Andy and Gary brought prospective buyers round for viewings and they were always friendly.They understood the stress both my daughter and I were under specially as I had had a couple of cataracts ops during the Summer and I was having blood pressure problems and my daughter is diabetic and has an underactive thyroid so at times her sugar levels were erratic. In the latter stages when we encountered problems with the seller here in Lincoln Tom Wright, the manager at the Chiswick branch, took control and liaised with the agent here in Lincoln on a regular basis and with our solicitor to ensure everyone was kept up to date Our emails and calls were always answered promptly. Tom seemed to do the chasing around all the houses to ensure we got to the point of exchange as soon as possible.

Chan would be a credit to any estate agency but more importantly Chan is a decent, balanced, well-informed, well-read and well- rounded person. Ideally, I would have purchased my dream flat from Chan. Even when that didn't happen, Chan remained available, proactive keeping in touch and interested in my purchase. Would highly recommend Chan to you.

Lisa often went above and beyond her job:
* very flexible in terms of the time - she didn't mind to arrange viewings after 7pm (week days) and Sundays
* very knowledgeable and able to provide sounds advice
* very honest and trustworthy
* able to respond to my emails and phone calls in a very timely manners and MOST IMPORTANT..!!
She always has a great smile on her face..!!!!!

I cannot speak more highly of Foxtons and particularly this branch!
We've recently bought a house through them and they made this potentially incredibly stressful process as smooth and palatable as possible.

Moving in our utilities were changed to the outrageously priced Spark energy
Moving out, check out never happened, they lost a set of keys, took over 5 weeks to tell us how much commission was owed and we rarely got responses to emails

Unlike several bad reviews, I had an overall good experience dealing with Foxtons Chiswick branch. The staff were friendly and my agent in particular was very professional and efficient. I did not like how the additional costs were hidden under "tenants fees apply" but when asked, the agent clearly outlined what those were. Overall a great office and good customer service.

I don’t recommend this company I used them recently and I found them very unprofessional & arrogant, they are geared to be making as much money as possible from you, without actually thinking about the customer’s needs at all quite intimidating and uncomfortable
