Although it lacked several elements from our list of minimum requirements, it was still one of the best houses we had viewed. When we found our house had substantial subsidence the insurance company said we had to move out of our home quickly. I don’t know how we would have managed without the service of Hampton’s in North Dulwich. They searched and found us a property which allowed us to stay for 6 months and would accommodate our dog and two cats. They liaised with the insurance company, the landlord and kept us calm during this stressful time. They checked in to see we were ok when we moved in and sorted out any teething problems in the new property too. They couldn’t have provided a better service. They are professional, approachable and efficient. A special mention to Diana and Rebecca who were with us every step of the way.

We are deeply upset when our rental flat was damaged by a tenant. These things happen, but even worse was that the tenant tried to avoid responsibility and refused to reimburse us. The team from Hamptons at Dulwich we’re fully supportive throughout, helped reassure us that we were within our rights to request fair recompense and steered us through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. We explained the situation to the TDS and they swiftly found in our favour and we were reimbursed from the deposit. It was very stressful, but the support and guidance of Hamptons was wonderful throughout. These things happen, it’s a great feeling when others help you sort them out. Having secured a de-conversion permission, I and a friend decided to sell our two flats in a detached Edwardian property as market factors made the sale of the house more valuable rather than selling as 2 individual flats.
Obviously, this didn’t make for a straightforward sale and we were resigned to only being able to sell to a small market of cash buyers and probably over an extended period of time due to the complexities of the sale.
However, Mel Carter immediately identified ways to maximize the potential number of buyers thereby allowing mortgage buyers to bid for the property as well. Prior to the property going on the market, Mel brought her entire sales team to view the property to ensure they were able to talk knowledgeably to any interested purchaser.
The property was listed on a Tuesday afternoon with several viewings over the weekend. I was amazed to receive a call on the following Monday from Mel advising us to go to final bids by the following Thursday as the team had already had a few offers. In fact, we ended up with 5 offers at asking price and above and from a mix of cash and mortgage buyers.
There were complications later on in the purchasing process, not of our or the buyers making, but hats off to the team at Hamptons who remained informed and actively liaised between ourselves, the buyers and solicitors to ensure the sale proceeded as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Started a tenancy of a house in Dulwich, rented through Hamptons, last month and feel seriously disappointed with the agency already.
The property was handed to us in a poor shape with a bunch of issues picked up in the inventory report, yet the agency has been largely dismissive of them, referring to our concerns is "teething problems" or "age related issues". Clearly, there's a private landlord on the other side, yet the agency has shown little support in resolving the situation so far, ignoring multiple emails and just stalling things.
Two-star rating really reflects my current view of Hamptons International Dulwich branch, albeit I'll duly revise it should things improve down the road.

Mel and the whole team at Hamptons in Dulwich were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and regularly went far beyond the call of duty. Always available and always going out of their way to provide a helpful answer, this team was a pleasure to work with — we really couldn't have done it without them! Highly recommended.

Our property had received no offers over a 10 month period when listed with a local agent.

We have just sold our house using Hamptons Dulwich. Callum and the team are really great. They really know the market in the area and didn't rush us to accept low offers. In the end we were lucky enough to have multiple offers at the same time and Callum managed to get us a deal that we were happy with. They're support didn't finish there, and have been responsive through to completion.

They suggested an asking price slightly higher than that of their competitors; this came with assurances that we would be able to achieve close to it, which we did. I was delighted to complete on a property through Hamptons at the start of the year - the service from the team was top notch. I primarily dealt with Callum who was always responsive and helpful, but pretty much had repeat viewings with the whole team and they were all very accommodating! The process went as smoothly as you could hope for when buying in an interesting market and I can't speak highly enough of this Hamptons office. Too often people only give feedback to complain so we wanted to email to express how impressed we were with Zara who came to our property yesterday. We had 2 other agencies come and have a look around after her, and it was very clear to us that she, and consequently Hamptons, were head and shoulders above the competitors in the area. She was engaging and asked lots of questions about we wanted from the letting.
She also had prepared a variety of statistics with her based on other properties Hamptons had let out, market comparisons in the area and examples of clients who were looking for this exact property on the database. The other agencies did not do this and it felt like she really wanted us to choose Hamptons because she was certain we would be given the highest quality service, rather than feeling she was just going through the motions of a normal valuation which takes 10 minutes. She spent 40 minutes or so with us.
She put us at great ease about this process of letting (we're first timers). And we won't be using the other agencies as a result of Zara's work yesterday.

Follow up on surveys, take our young daughter check aspects of the house and he has made this possible without issue. I’ve not found them to be pushy or harassing in the viewing process before we made our offer and the aftercare continued to be helpful and responsive despite the sale being secured. I would definitely consider Hamptons for future property sales should that be necessary.

I'd like to thank Jessica Harris very much for her help in selling my house in Herne Hill last summer. I'd placed my house on the market with another agency in November 2015, but despite many viewings failed to gain any credible offers.
I moved to Hamptons in March 2016 and enjoyed meeting Jessica and the team. Brexit in June 2016 didn't help matters, but Jessica stayed on the case, kept me updated on (poor) market conditions and over time introduced me to several good quality buyers.
I especially liked the way Jessica managed expectations and the whole process in a very professional way - including regular updates. I also felt Jessica looked after my interests as a seller and helped negotiate a tradable price very efficiently. The process was far less stressful than I imagined.
Overall I was very happy both with the service from Jessica (and the team) and the price I received.

I want to send you a big, heartfelt, THANK YOU.
I am sure you have had much easier properties to sell and probably much easier vendors to deal with too! But I know that you have been ultra professional in all aspects of the sale and have gone beyond what any vendor would normally expect by way of service.
As I like to say to my clients "the bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the joy of a low price" and that certainly applies to your branch of Hamptons. We tried the rest and sold with the best. You really don't have ANY competition in the area as far as professionalism of viewings and feedback is concerned. You also helped turn a nervous vendor about to pull out, into a happy buyer. If that had happened I might well have had to ask the Doctor for Prozac.....
You really should be proud of yourselves. I know you sell more expensive properties but thank you so much for helping us with our little cottage. I never thought that being next to a Pub would present such a problem. It certainly never bothered us at any time but I guess a lot of people are fussy these days and the choice is immense.
It goes without saying that I would recommend you and if you ever need a verbal testimonial you know where I am.
Time to head home and crack open the Champagne!

Once an offer was accepted Hamptons worked hard to ensure exchange and completion in as short a timescale as possible and kept all parties well informed. Moving my family to England from Australia was a huge undertaking and I relied heavily on real estate agents to find homes that met our very specific requirements. Mel from Hamptons did just that. She worked with us to give us options that completely matched our needs. She had great knowledge of the homes she showed us and remarkable local knowledge; able to give advice on local shopping, schools, entertainment and public transport, which benefitted us enormously! When we decided on a property Mel faced several obstacles in securing it for us, but worked tirelessly to see it through. When we arrived in London Mel was available to answer questions and make the move as seam-free as possible. We dealt with several agents from a variety of companies, but we very quickly realised that we only wanted to work with Mel. We cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone needing real estate help: her local experience, professionalim and genuine interest in supplying a high level of personal care is exceptional!
