Having had the disappointment of my property purchase falling through, my family and I had to resort to another plan - to rent. Enter James ('Ben White' from Arsenal FC lookalike) who took us for the initial lettings viewing, and Jack. Absolute Dynamic Duo - helping us to secure our Plan B.

Couldn’t be happier with Longford Russell Bromley office. I have tried to sell my flat with another agent for 9 months and LR managed to get me 2 offers in 4 days! Absolutely amazing. The 5 star reviews you see here about Jake and Jack are all true; I actually interviewed 3 agents this time and did my thorough research, and glad that I made the right decision. Their fee is higher but that’s nothing compared to costs of delaying the sale, or potentially getting less than good buyers and not complete. I am too eager to leave this review before completion but I am confident that the guys at LR will help me through the sale no matter what.

I was very impressed with LR Bromley on our recent house sale. Jack Rampling was professional, knowledgeable and helpful all the way through.
I was with a different agent before LR who really didn’t do a great job, so I was grateful for LR who came in, brought all the LR agents from all branches round, understood my needs, managed expectations and sold my house for a great price on the FIRST weekend they had it listed after 4 months of stagnation with another agent.
Jake, the manager, was polite and kept in touch also to make sure all was going smooth. The communication was great throughout conveyancing too.

I recently purchased my house through Langford Russell and cannot recommend Jake and Jack Rampling enough. They showed me a good selection of relevant properties and once I found the one I wanted were super efficient and effective in getting the sale through super speedily (in just 8 weeks from having my offer accepted). They made useful recommendations, ensured things were moving and kept me and my solicitor well informed throughout the process - it was genuinely seamless. When the time comes to sell I won’t hesitate to use them again.

Langford Russel posted an advert on a Friday for 6 properties in the same building that would be soon available to rent in Bromley area. I emailed them and called them over the weekend and a lady that didn't seem to know what she was talking about informed me that only one was available, even tho they had all been posted the previous day making it quite impossible for 5 properties to be gone in less than 24 hours... I decided to call again today (a Monday) and was shocked when I was transferred to an 'agent' called Jack that hung up the phone on me straight after I gave him the postcode for the property I was interested in. Tried calling again and as soon as I gave my name they hung up... Awful agents that don't have the decency of being polite and don't even bother to possibly take my information for some other properties that may become available in the future. They just hung up the phone without saying anything. Rude and presumptuous agency!!!
Update: I find it funny that when I tried calling earlier today no one was able to explain what was happening and just hung the phone on me but after I posted this review I am suddenly getting calls and voicemails where they try to explain the situation. This could have been easily avoidable if they would have only explained that there was a mistake on their part and there were no properties available, instead, they decided to hung up the phone on my face twice in a row. I will not be deleting this review as this was my experience with the agency and people should be aware that this is how they conduct their business.

Basis tenant needs are dismissed - such as heating and even cooking appliances. Most staff display lack of education/training/professional sense. Very comfortable in being false, misleading and untruthful.
If you want to enjoy your property, please stay away from dealing with this branch. From work contractors, property managers, tenants and landlords - all are in consensus in the terrible professionalism hiding behind the brand.

If you are a seller, you might give Jake and the others 5 stars, since they convincingly lie to buyers about flaws with the property and the surrounding area. There's no doubt that their style of work will make sales.
If you are a buyer, I would be very dubious. They will say anything you want to hear, even if it is totally incorrect, just to get a sale.

I cannot recommend the team at Bromley’s Langford Russell highly enough. Unlike other estate agents, you are met with a professional, honest and helpful service.
In particular, Chris Salt deserves recognition for his positive can-do attitude; he strives to find a solution to any issue and is never pushy, seeking the best outcome for all. Lauren Palmer is friendly, polite and always on hand to help. The team ensure that all matters are dealt with promptly- no chasing required and all points followed through and fed back on.

Pretty rubbish experience. I had to chase 3 times to just receive the information of how much the council tax was on a property. On the 3rd time I asked I was advised I could "do this myself" , I had only been chasing because during the initial viewing the agent told me she would find out and let me know. Call me crazy but this seems like the minimum information an agent should know about a property.
Over 2 weeks I chased to find out status of my application as I wasn't really in the loop but as soon as I had signed paperwork I was then the one being chased for paperwork that hadn't even been requested of me yet. At the start of the process I had replied to an email where it asked for details of my situation and days later I was sent the same template to fill in and I had to point out I had already done this and the agent has replied to that email so it was clear it had been received.
I then filled in the referencing forms I was sent and the following day I was told by the agent I failed the referencing and that to proceed I required a guarantor or to pay the full £9300 tenancy up front. I was asked if I could pay this despite her viewing my bank balances and surely knowing I could only afford the 3 months upfront I had offered.
On the same day I let the agent know my employer had offered to help me and that I would let her know the outcome as soon as I knew. This was around 10'am on a Friday. The following Tuesday first thing I had an email telling me she had processed the refund of my holding deposit.
I am unsure who in their right mind thought it was okay to do that instead of calling me to check what the status was. To just go ahead and process my refund and cancel my application losing me the property. I was so angry I didn't even reply to that email and that same day I had both the option of a guarantor or the funds to pay the full 12 month tenancy up front at my disposal. But seeing how poorly my application had been handled I thought maybe this had happened for a reason and to just get over it and look at other properties.
Imagine my surprise when the 3rd party referencing company rings my employer for a reference and she explains her confusion as I had told everyone I had already failed the referencing and they had processed my refund. I then spoke to the referencing company who told me they hadn't even carried out the referencing yet hence their phone call so they had not failed me, and that even if they had the final say would be the agency's not theirs.
It appears the agency failed me, not the referencing company, because I had a CCJ 4 years ago which was fully paid and satisfied and which I had explained prior to a credit check anyway in the interest of full disclosure. Regardless of this they gave me the ultimatum of finding a guarantor or paying £9300 upfront and clearly gave me 1 day to do this before cancelling my application with no warning. Considering the tiny flat wasn't even available for another month an a half I found this ridiculous. Just a complete lack of communication.
Then they had failed to ring their referencing company to at least inform them of the actions they had taken and sparing me the false hope and embarrassment of my boss getting the phone call.
The referencing company then said they would ring the agent to confirm, the agent clearly didn't feel the need at least apologise for the hassle caused simply by her not closing the application by tying all loose ends.
And then to top it off I keep receiving texts and emails via the agency mailing system informing me of new properties, you would think it common sense to remove me from such communications as they aren't relevant.
These template emails that come from the mailing list and initially the emails from the agent directly always have the "mr" title even though I asked her twice to amend that as I am clearly not a mr. But no such luck.

Had such a positive experience dealing with Langford Russell, Bradley in particular. Overall my cousin and I found the perfect flat with Bradley's help. We have now been living in the flat about 2 weeks and I couldn't have wished for a more pleasant experience for my first time renting. Everything regarding referencing etc was all done within a timely manor, any questions and concerns we had were all answered and we had a responce almost immediately. I am also very confident in saying if we had any issues in the next few months I know Bradley would be more than happy to help us out! I'm really unsure why anyone gives Langford Russell 5 stars. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed by the situation my husband and I have been through with them. We rented our home out for two years and paid a premium to Langford Russell to ensure we had decent tenants and that our home was taken care of. We recently moved back to the property and have been shocked by the amount of damage to the property and the battle we have to get even the smallest amount of the deposit back which at this rate, looks very unlikely. I never felt supported by Langford Russell at any point, apart from one member of the team, Robert who always replied to requests and did his best- thank you Robert. Unfortunately the rest of the team are useless. Our tenants smashed a window, destroyed our 100 year old original front door and the blind in the front room was damaged beyond repair. This is just the tip of the ice berg. I have no idea how they vet tenants or carry out inspections. I'm frustrated, upset and frankly so fed up and wanted to give some honest feedback for future customers to consider.

I can’t reccomend Annie from the Bromley branch of Langford Russell enough. She was patient, kind and always willing to help without being pushy. She was extremely accomodating around my work schedule and stayed outside of work hours to view places with me. Every time a new property came on the marker, she would update me and was honest throughout the whole process about whether a house had gone under offer or was expected to within the day. If you want a letting agent that actually cares about you as opposed to the sale, Annie is truly the best person to ask for! I will be straight back to Langford Russell when I next move!

I had the worst experience since I live in London. Afterward 3 years renting I decided to getting on ladder for the first time . I was expecting an Property Agency helpful and serious aim to take care about customer .

Senior Branch Manager, Langford Russell, he weasand IS a pushy person, sharky and dishonest .
First of all he forced me to use his internal firms(mortgage broker, lawyer), when I told him I would use my personal bank/solicitor his reaction was very unusual, like if he was hide something on the property.
Well, after more than 1 month from the offer accepted , everything were set up on my side, lawyer instructed, get finance but today the survey REPORT: damp around the ground floor flat which means 10.000 quid less in term of value. The vendor request was 265k but the value is max 255k.
I asked to the agent to revise the price but he withdraw from the deal.
I had to spend my saving to pay solicitor, apply for the mortgage, my time etc etc.
I would encourage people who looking to buy a property in Bromley to stay away from Langford Russell, in particular from MR Paul Reid (rubbish).

Exceptional service from the guys at Langford Russell based in Bromley. As first time buyers looking for a new home in Bromley we registered to all the estate agents in Bromley and were very disappointed with a lot of the other estate agents around. We registered with Langford Russell first and glad we stuck with them. Paul in particular has been a massive help finding us the property we ended up purchasing and guiding us through the new process. Although there were some complications with the buying process, the Langford Russell team were always there to keep up to date and keep the ball rolling. Highly recommend!

Exceptional service! After an initial misunderstanding I was completely surprised when the group managing director called me to personally apologise for any misunderstanding and who then resolved my query immediately. Really impressed that the man at the top took the time to make sure I was a happy and satisfied customer - so can't recommend Langford Russell Bromley (The Acorn Group) highly enough!
