Never been so mistreated in my life.
The house was filthy when we got there. When we emailed to ask that the tenancy agreement be changed to say we didn’t need the house cleaned to a professional level when we left, Debbie replied by saying how dare we suggest we don’t have to clean when we leave. Eventually we made sure we had it in writing that we could leave it in the same state when we left. However, at the end of the tenancy our landlord went out of his way to try and charge us for a cleaner, despite us actually leaving it in a much improved state. He eventually backed down because it was of course ridiculous, but still charged us for cleaning windows and cutting grass which were in worse states when we arrived (he also charged £100 just to cut a small patch of grass and clean four windows).
We were left multiple nights without heating in -3 temperatures with a baby. We suggested what we thought the issue was and were told by the landlord it definitely wasn’t that - it transpired it was that (simply a quick fix of flicking a button outside), and were charged £80 for the boiler man he insisted we needed. When we suggested he pay or at least split the bill with us, he threatened to take us to court.
Our shower didn’t work for weeks but were told it wasn’t a priority because we ‘had a bath’. After 2 weeks waiting we were told it just needed cleaning - it didn’t and after 3 weeks it was eventually replaced.
We also didn’t have our allocated parking space for almost 6 months because the landlord wouldn’t make a sign.
In the end it took us months to get our deposit back, and emails asking where it was were ignored.
All of the above was made so much worse by Leaders incompetence. They must truly go out of their way to find the most evil landlords.
Absolutely avoid this estate agent at all cost, and avoid renting on Silver Street, Stansted, as it appears many of the houses are owned by our landlord, who will use any opportunity to take all of your money.

I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned 3 weeks after my tenancy ended, and I have sent around 12 emails. I was informed on Friday 2nd August, after submitting my bank details, that it would be '5 working days'. On Wednesday 7th August, I again had to submit bank details. I was informed it would be '3 to 5 working days'. In the electronic age, where bank transfers take only a matter of hours to go through the system, the length of time I have been made to wait is a disgrace!

We first started renting our property from Leaders when they were known as Euro Let and dealt with Debbie Aldis from the get-go. Debbie has always been extremely friendly, professional and understanding. She will go the extra mile for tenants especially when dealing with an unreasonable landlord (unfortunately that was the case for ours) and was not afraid to go into bat for the tenant when it was necessary. I can honestly say that all dealings I had with any member of the Bishop Stortford team was a pleasure. Down to earth staff whom you felt comfortable speaking with. Would highly recommend renting through them.

The worse agency ever, you can't trust anyone there especially Debbie and Pippa, they are cable to say anything to make you pay more money you are supposed to. They take the worse landlords in Bishop Stortford just avoid them at all cost!
RE: You are a bunch of liars, you strive to make tenants paying more then what then they are supposed to, and you definitely do that in a excellent way. I am glad the public is going to reed this: I am still waiting for Debbie regarding a feedback for my Despite Notification Claim Form, which I am sure she never even sent it to the Alterative Dispute Resolution service mentioned on the form, in which I did deny all the lies you told me. With my experience I can say you are only excellent to tell lies.
PS: As you can see the good reviews are all fake here, are all made with fake profiles with only one review per profile, or given from people who work there. Only the bad reviews are genuine profiles. Be very careful stay away from this agency as much as you can!

I give one star because I can't give anything less but they really deserve nothing. When I moved out of the house they charged almost the whole deposit. The carpet had holes in it, by the way, made by previous tenants, and they were aware of it as it had already been reported when I made my appearance, so it had to be replaced; in spite of that, they told us to do the professional cleaning anyway, which amounted to almost 500 £; had I known it before I would have done it only for the oven and toilet. When I moved in my room window was already broken. I begged them several times for over 14 months to have it replaced but they never did. On top of that when I moved out they had the bravery to withdraw it from my deposit. When I complained about the unfairness of their demand they complied but, in retaliation, they charged me with about 300 £ extra stuff that was not included on the previous bill, accounting on a net loss of another 200£. But this is not all, starting from November 2021 they
began acting strange, concealing important information from us tenants and acting weird. First of all, they started telling the new tenants to give their deposits to the leaving ones and not to them, practice that might be correct, but that wasn't the one I had followed when I moved in and, on top of that, for the last months they told us they were not able to sign new name changes, because one of us tenants and I wanted to move out and had found someone to replace us, for virtually no reason. I had to go to their office in person to be told that the reason why they could not sign new name change agreements was because they had decided to link the end of the tenancy for everyone with my departure. I'm very happy now that I managed to escape their hold and that this nightmare is over.
In spite of that I must say that I highly recommend them, to everyone who does not value his money, his job, his time and his mental sanity.

Horrendous experience renting with Leaders. Renting out properties that are a health hazard and very little care or consideration for tenants. Was told all bills included only to then have different terms slipped into contract. Everything in favour of landlords. Had to fight to get my deposit back. Avoid!

Since eurolet were taken over customer service has been appalling. Have not received any statements from leaders. Rent received in random payments. Branch couldn't tell me details and couldn't give me a head office number. The manager promised to call me back never did. And my email remains unanswered.
Update to my review - my tenants owe a lot of money in rent arrears and the branch staff very relaxed about it all and not providing me updates, All i get from leaders credit control is generic cookie cutter emails. Awful since it all became leaders.

Let’s be honest, estate agents don’t exactly have a good reputation, but Leaders (formerly Eurolet) definitely changed my mind, at least about them ????. They have been nothing but helpful, friendly, professional and supportive in making our time renting under them as easy and straightforward as possible. Especially Debbie Aldis who went above and beyond for my disabled wife and I throughout our almost 5 year tenancy. I would definitely recommend them.

Ever since the takeover customer service has been appalling and staff have been extremely rude to me. Do not recommend and would avoid at all costs. So many issues I had with them over the 3 years I've rented with them and honestly could not have been treated more poorly and unfairly. What a headache this agency has caused us. The communication is poor. They basically called us liars when we said we didn't receive any letter, to then apologise because they realised they didn't send it. Saying they will call back but never do, telling us the lady was not in but then that she actually left. Only positive is that one lady was somewhat helpful.

Unfortunately, eurolet is by far the worst letting agency I have rented from. Debbie Aldis from eurolet provides a disgusting, disrespectful, unlawful and untrustworthy service to customers of eurolet. The customer service I received from Debbie ranged from lying, misleading, blackmailing and bullying. I have to say the manager, Mark, at eurolet Bishops Stortford is just as untrustworthy and spineless as Debbie Aldis.
Do not rent or sell with eurolet Bishops Stortford. Debbie and mark need investigating as a matter of urgency they are an utter disgrace and should not be allowed to work with customers at the very least.

I have used Euro let for 5 years, and I let a property through them. They have been very good and helping me manage the let. Helping when things like escaped water. I would say the landlord and not the management agent are often to blame when promises about maintenance and quality of maintenance are an issue. Euro let do a good job, it is the landlord that doesn't answer urgent maintenance phone calls, requests for updating fittings, choosing the cheapest naff fix. But i'm impressed with euro let, out of the many letting agents we have used they have provided us with a range of maintenance options and advised and helped plan major works between lets. And I would like to think they help me do right by the tenant. I don't choose the cheapest solution, and above all make maintenance a priority.

Absolutely vile agency to rent from. I've been a tenant for 6 years and I've had non stop issues with this property which I've always tried to trust them on but every "professional" sent to fix stuff have never actually fixed anything, they lie and botch stuff. They'll always take the cheapest route and as a tenant, my health and safety has never been a priority to them all while putting rent up excessively. It's taken almost a year to have my ceiling fixed from what was a small leak which led to the ceiling coming down and excessive black mold which they lied about to my face! Heavily pregnant and have fought to get this flat in a safe condition for my child and when everything is fixed, I'm handed a two month notice leaving me homeless with a newborn! I could go on why I would never recommend this agency but definitely be worned, from my experience, they're greedy, liars and barely class as humans.

We have been tenants for nearly 4 years. At the beginning they were great, telling you whatever you would like to hear. Promising upgrades, that never happened! We have upgraded property throughout, decorating and modernising the kitchen 20y old kitchen units... after a praise form a agent, the rent suddenly has been increased for extra £200! When we have declined to this injustice, we have been served with notice to quit. We have never missed a payment in rent and kept the property in impeccable condition! Be aware, very greedy agency!!
