I just moved into the property listed with Winkworth last week. The service they provided is very good from the beginning to the end. Always respond my email and queries with professional and easily understandable answers very quickly. We didn't experience very much problems on Winkworth side as the process was very smooth. Just the reference checking company they co-operate, Blinc, may need some improvement on machine reading techniques. My ID documents were eventually recognised by their system after I tried 6 times.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have James assist me with finding an apartment to rent in London. Moving to London for the very first time can be quite daunting, but James always went above and beyond his responsibilities in order to make this experience a smooth and fun one. I called in about a property, and was told the tenant is really flexible so we could see it that afternoon. Booked in. Running late to the viewing, I called the office to advise. No problem.
I arrived at the property a few minutes late and see the agent who was to show me around. “The tenant has just had to run out for the evening so we can’t view the property”. Disappointing of course, but partly my own fault as I was late, so we agreed to rearrange.
As he walked off, I then saw someone inside the property through the window, so thought to knock on the door. The occupant told me to rearrange through the agent, which is understandable.
This is less a review, and more of an FYI to anyone about to do any business with the office. There was no reason to lie about the tenant leaving. The office also had no explanation when I called and asked why I was lied to, neither did they try to rearrange my viewing? A small lie, but may be telling of the way they do business.
Perhaps the excuse was given in a panic, or maybe lying is habitual.
In either case, not an agent I'll be dealing with.

Ben Hunt has assembled an incredible team in Brook Green - Hammersmith.
Due to the multiple lockdowns in 2020, we could not go back to London to sell our house after our tenants had vacated. Not only were they our eyes and ears on the ground, while builders and gardeners were getting our house ready for sale, but Ben took care of the entire process and sold our house in record time. They spared no effort and their rolodex came in handy to get things done. Great job, keep it up.

Agencies in general do not care, but this one is out of this world.
The property was filthy upon arrival. Spent hours cleaning and had to even call cleaners to help out.
Lots of things not working and again waiting for hours for the contractor to arrive.
Numerous questions were asked via email and only what was convenient to reply was answered... the rest was ignored.
Would not recommend this agency at all. If you want to have a better experience renting a place, chose any other.

I cannot recommend Winkworth Brook Green highly enough – the team are not only extremely good at their profession, they are also a pleasure to deal with.
I had to sell my flat in a difficult market so knew that finding the best estate agent could make all the difference in achieving a good price in a timely manner. Seven estate agents came to value our apartment and we also spoke to a few internet estate agents. Ben Hunt at Winkworth stood out. Looking around the apartment he picked up on several issues I needed to sort out (things I hadn’t even spotted), gave an honest assessment of the market and valuation (not just what I wanted to hear for him to win business), and provided very detailed advice about how to best present the flat and how to handle the sale process. No other estate agent came close to providing the same level of advice. Winkworth also had by far the most experience in the Brook Green area – they had sold the properties either side of mine and had many more similar properties on the market in the area than any other local estate agent. They understood and were up to date with what was happening in the local market unlike the internet estate agents who covered Brook Green as part of ‘West London’.
In addition, Winkworth had acted for the seller when I purchased the apartment so I knew they were extremely responsive from a buyer’s perspective.
Alistair came round to view the apartment and get to know it before doing viewings. I felt very comfortable that he would show the flat well having grilled him on the market and the property. He is very knowledgeable and likable.
Other local agents told me to expect a couple of viewings a week and that it would take several months to sell the flat. Winkworth had significantly more viewings than that (a few times there were four or five in a day), secured a number of offers for my property and sold the flat quickly in a competitive bidding scenario so that I achieved the best price possible (which was 60k above what internet estate agents told me to list the property for).
Winkworth were very organized in keeping me up to date with appointments and feedback and following up with everyone who viewed the apartment. Once we had accepted an offer communications between myself and the buyer were relayed very efficiently and Ben was an excellent source of advice on negotiations and market practice. Winkworth made sure things ticked along quickly and amicably.
As an unexpected bonus, Winkworth excelled at providing strategic advice in the negotiation of my purchase of another property: advice with legal issues; drafting emails re price reductions and the best angle to take, managing the other estate agent, recommending movers, finding tradesmen, introducing specialist mortgage advisors, selection of lawyers and many more matters. I can honestly say the sale fee was worth every penny in the amount of advice, assistance and money saved in this respect alone. We engaged several people that were recommended by Winkworth and were very happy with their recommendations.
Possibly the most important thing to mention is that Winkworth Brook Green were not only excellent at doing their job but also really nice to deal with – funny, super helpful and nothing like estate agent stereotypes. I got locked out, they drove my keys round straight away; my boiler broke, they helped get someone round the same day; I couldn’t get to the solicitors so they brought papers round for me to sign and took them quite a way over to the solicitors; I went away, they watered plants, replaced flowers and emptied my bins; I needed something printed, they dropped it round. The service was so much more than what I expected and I am probably quite a difficult customer.
Appointing Winkworth Brook Green was the best decision I made in selling my apartment.

Poor communication.
Sold a house through them last year and found it a frustrating process. It didn't seem important for them to provide feedback after viewings and perhaps more used to a fast paced property market, where the process drives itself and not so sure-footed in a more hesitant market.
In a slow market their pessimism was palpable. I would be very surprised if that wasn't felt by the viewers. Such that, it felt like their main concern when negotiating, was to sell at any price, rather than working to get the best price.
Ben, Elizabeth and the team were very friendly and ultimately did sell the property for us.

They had by far the best property we viewed. The entire process was very good, admin seems on the ball, property manager is quick to respond to queries etc.
The only let down was the hassle at the start when we made our initial offer. It could be down to the specific sales guy but after making our offer, and informing them of our time constraints we were then left to sweat in an attempt to force us to increase the offer. Our phone calls went unanswered and we were avoided for a few days under the guise that the landlord would not reply to the agency.
This was a very bad start and I'm happy to say everything since then has been very pleasant, however, I would have been lying if I didn't mention the needless addition of stress caused by the attempted hard-balling.

Finding a new place after 12 years is daunting task to say the very least. When coming across Winkworth in Hammersmith, we were absolutely stunned by the great properties that they have and they are very friendly and helpful people. I have been been with Winkworth in Hammersmith for almost twenty years, starting as a prospective tenant, then a purchaser and finally a landlord. During that period I have always received good, reliable and prompt advice and support from the entire team.
The current group (including the related Uxbridge Road office) is a well-oiled machine. My interaction has been mainly with James, Ben, Jo, Karen and Iona to name just a few. I have have found each of them to be highly professional, extremely courteous and always pragmatic. By far the best experience in the area.

Winkworth (and Elizabeth in particular) were excellent during the whole sale process going well beyond what was expected. We gave a tight timescale for completion and it would simply not have gone through without Elizabeth's invaluable help which removed a huge amount of stress from a 20 December exchange and 22 December completion.

I have a flat in central London, and James Frazer has rented it for me twice already. James is an excellent professional not only in his expertise field but also how he dealt with getting the best tenants.
He is easily contacted, and very helpful at all times. I fell that James knows how to look after the client and the tenant interest at the same time. I believe this is an art, and James it's very good at it.

We decieded to sell this property after the flat above was sold within a week, and above the asking price, this was not a Winkworths sale. A few doors down was a sold sign by Winkworths. The agents who sold above us were to busy to come, even though I advised I was leaving the UK, I telephoned Winkworths and Liz was there within 30 minutes. She sent me details for marketing, and within two weeks had an offer.She then followed it through the Brexit period when a lot "fell out of bad" and we have now completed. Very nice service, and they are nicer still as they deal with "affordable" listings, as well as pricier ones. We were able to find a lovely flat well within our budget in a we'll kept neighborhood.
