Delighted with the service provided by the Surbiton Office of Your Move and especially by Derek Baker.
Very quick to set up an ‘open house’ viewing for prospective purchasers and provided great feedback, analysis and advice about the received bids. Despite an initial set back an alternate was quickly identified and the process progressed in a timely manner.
I was kept up to date with developments with regular communications both via email and on the phone. Derek dealt with the entire process professionally and diligently, moreover, I felt that he was taking a personal interest in helping get the sale past the finish post. Exchanged contracts today but Derek is still working in my best interests sorting out evidence of meter readings prior to completion.
I have used the Surbiton office a couple of times now and have been extremely pleased with the quality of service provided by the sales staff. I wish everyone I deal with was as invested in delivering excellence.

I usually have a million questions and I was calling them up so much I had to apologies for it and Rihanna simply said “please don’t apologies, we are here to answer your questions and help you so keep calling us!”. This was so different from my past experiences, I was pleasantly surprised.

Surbiton branch - Very bad experience
Called the branch for the viewing for one of the property which came for sale. They said don't have viewing dates yet and will get back with the dates. Called after couple of days and the same information was given. Guess what after 2 days the property is marked as "Sold Subject to Contract". Don't know how these guys operate.

I would like to leave this 5* review for Lucy. I work in sales meaning that I was rarely available to speak on the phone during regular office hours. Having said this, Lucy accommodated to my needs of having to do everything over e-mail and was very patient with me and prompt with her responses. In addition, she arranged for a viewing way out of office hours to ensure I don't miss out on the perfect apartment for me and has since kept in touch regularly to keep me updated on the process. Overall, I would say that she has been incredibly professional, helpful and a joy to deal with. In the near two years I've rented through Your Move, I've had nothing but issues. Moving in is an issue, maintence is an issue, moving out is an issue. I've received rude emails, aborrent unprofessional behaviour from one staff member in particular when moving in- I refuse to ever rent through Your Move Surbiton again. When I called requesting to see properties the person asked me about notice on our current flat, of which I said was 2 months with a possibilty of moving sooner. I also relayed this information when looking at the properties to the Your Move representative.
Today I went to see a flat and I just called to say we wanted to take it if the landlord was happy for us to move in 2 months. The person on the phone (same who showed us round) said "When you said about your notice period at the viewing I thought that's too late for the landlord as the property is available now and they want someone in there asap really". They wouldn't send our request to the landlord in case so I'm not sure why they didn't say this whilst we were at the viewing.
I'm very disappointed that my time has been wasted and when the topic was brought up earlier nothing was said. I also don't appreciate that my request wasn't passed onto the landlord, even if likelihood is they would have denied it.
My only positive is that booking and communication is advance was quick.

Do not touch this lot with a barge pole! The Manager Lloyd is horribly unprofessional, George was late for all 3 viewings and as a company, they won't take responsibility for anything. I had a con artist of a Landlord and Your Move were no hope, the Surbiton branch left me with a broken front door that wouldn't close on a bank holiday weekend, no washing machine for 10 weeks, a broken window for my entire year there, and mold which attributed to me being hospitalised with pneumonia ("just wash it with bleach"). By the end I was so distraught and tired of dealing with their "property managers" (who you'll chase every day and get passed round in circles, waiting weeks for any action), I requested my Landlords details to take legal action. Your Move tried refusing to supply me with his details! Unlucky for them I work in Property Management myself and was well aware of my rights, so pushed back. Eventually I contacted their CEO directly, and still they were useless! Right up to the check out process, which I took a day off work for, just to sit in the rain and wait for their auditor for an hour before receiving a phone call that they had been earlier in the day so they could "get home earlier", Your Move were absolutely abysmal. Eventually they offered me compensation, and when I followed up they asked me what I wanted it for?! AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

We had been looking for properties in the Surbiton area for a few weeks before we had a chance meeting with ‘Your Move’ Surbiton. We enquired about a sold property with Your Move and agreed to be listed on the mailing list for appropriate properties. Needless to say we were contacted and saw a property which we decided wasn’t for us. Within a week we were contacted again about a property in our prime location that had just had its sale fall through, and the rest is history.
Our agent was Marcus, a sincere and pleasant young man. We were able to ascertain very quickly that Marcus, unlike other estate agents we have used, was focussed on us as a client and had respect for our lives and situations - not just about getting the most money for a sale as we have felt using other estate agents. Marcus gave us some fantastic advice along the way and his communication during a frantic release from lockdown was so greatly appreciated. He was personable from the get go and never pressurized us.
From our offer to exchange was 30 days, a swift service which now days seems nearly impossible. Needless to say we are now happily in our house.
It is not often in life you find yourself having a chance meeting with a salesman/agent whom you feel that you are not only able to endorse, but are able to call memorable. In years to come when we tell our children stories of our first home, as we have been anecdoted by our own parents, I believe I will still remember Marcus and the help, support and all around great service he provided us in helping to ensure myself and my partner a future in our first home.
All of the team at Your Move Surbiton have been of great help and only add to the the great customer experience we witnessed during the purchase of our house. Prompt communication has been a constant, which I am sure once you start the house hunt you will understand can be a great frustration while using some estate agents.
I wish ‘Your Move’ Surbiton every success and give them full recommendation as a very happy customer. Though unassuming in his appearance, Marcus has been nothing but an absolute credit to the company and beyond that, a friend when we needed support and advice.
All the best, and I hope in years to come when we need to move again, Marcus and Keith will still be at Your Move so they can help us find our next adventure!

We had a couple of viewings with Nick. He knew before both viewings we had a 2 month notice on our current flat but when we got to each viewing (both on different days) he seemed to not know this. Both properties were available straight away so he just kind of brushed us off and seemed very uninterested in us. Both viewings we were double booked with other couples, not one after the other so very awkward and feels pressured into a sale. Lloyd from lettings. Rude, raised his voice on several occasions. Accused my husband of lying. And slandered another estate agents. Not professional. This is the second time I have had problem with Your Move. They will take your money and stop contacting you and letting you know of any process. Even the landlord who asked Your move to advertise it are not happy . The estate agents that your move slandered have been so kind and helpful and have luckily found us a property to move into and only took three days. Your move took nearly three weeks!

Their agents are really unprofessional they transfer my deposit to somebody else's account and it cause some problems for me. In addition, when i was signing a contract they told me they have standard contract format but it wasn't. I don't know what would happen to me without the Advice of Citizen Advice Bureau. I trust Your-Move and it cost too much for me. I have already told to lots of students at Kingston university ... Don't work with this agent..

The experience was horrible. I would never deal with Surbiton again. Two of the staff members were extremely rude and attempted to keep my holding deposit after they said I could not move into the property. This is against the law on the Citizens Advice Bureau Information.
