We’d previously thought we’d receive good service and communication for selling our property but in actual fact, being able to get hold of anyone from the team is near impossible. I could name names but quite frankly, it seems it’s across the board and I don’t believe in personal public shaming.
We started off having a great evaluation and transparent/ no BS conversation about pricing. Within a week, we fortunately got an offer off-market which we accepted. However, whenever we asked for an update on progress from the buyer we often found ourselves ghosted. Then, out of the blue after 6 weeks, we received an email (not call!) telling us the buyer was offering elsewhere. Obviously frustrating but not the agents fault. We then went on the market officially and after two viewings have been told to reduce the price - bear in mind we’ve been on the market for 3 weeks. And whenever we try and call to speak to someone or email no one responses. It often is 5-7 days between correspondence. And when we asked if we could talk talk - we were told the agent had a viewing and they’d call on Monday. I’ll believe that when pigs fly..
It seems that only way that we will hear anything is from leaving a Google review - so I’ll await 5-7 days for a response to this!

On deciding to rent my property i selected Dexters in Surbiton. The service and speed to market the property was fast and efficient. within days everything was managed ,certificates. Inspections etc. I had to do virtually nothing. Within 2 weeks contracts with a suitable tenant was ready. Thanks to the agent who handled everything so professionally. Elin Shepherd.

We had our flat on the market with Dexter's for the exclusivity period. During that time we were passed between 3 contacts at Dexter's. The first agent left within a week or two of taking our property on, put little effort into the marketing of the property resulting in a poor advert and poor viewings. The second agent was much better, rectified many mistakes and did find us a buyer. The buyer sadly pulled out, but by this point the second agent at Dexter's had also moved on. It took 3 days for us to hear of the news of the buyer falling through and a further week for the agent to actually make any contact with us. We found out the buyer had pulled out from our estate agent from the property we were purchasing calling our solicitors and asking for an update. Dexter's in my opinion were an appalling service. We put out flat on the market with another agent and had a brilliant offer, from a truly lovely couple within a few weeks. I wish I'd gone with the data in GetAgent in the first place, rather than going on gut feel. When we bought our flat it was with Dexter's and we got the impression that they were relationship people, however, it turns out they act in the interest of the buyer not the seller.
