If we could give these people negative stars, we would. They are THE worst company I have ever encountered. My husband and I both work in real estate and to see these people in business is a joke. They have been double charging for management fees without any explanation and without notice. They don't answer emails or phone calls, their turnover of staff is constant so you can't get answers from anyone. NOT RECOMMENDED

We contacted JDW in Spring 2025 to sell our house in Fulham. From the very beginning, they were attentive and proactive in marketing the property, keeping us updated regularly and offering helpful advice throughout the process. Even after the sale was agreed, George and Jamie were always in touch to keep us informed about the process, explain what paperwork needed to be completed, and guide us through each step with the right solutions. They were consistently supportive as a team, providing legal and administrative guidance while also making us feel genuinely looked after as clients. We really appreciated their professionalism, communication, and personal approach, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Go out of your way to avoid this agency, we have been landed with the landlord from hell who has painted over mould, left us without a working shower and let themself into the property without any notice.<br><br>Although this is not the agency's fault, it shows there is no vetting process in place before they take on clients. As well as that, they have been zero help in aiding us in contacting our landlord who we simply cannot get hold of and may have vanished off the face of the earth for all we know. If I could leave zero stars I would.

We recently purchased a property through John D Wood Parsons Green and worked with Jamie Ropner.<br><br>He was always friendly, professional and easy to get hold of, keeping us regularly updated and helping to coordinate between the various parties involved. Buying a property can be stressful, but his responsiveness and clear communication made the process feel much smoother.<br><br>We particularly appreciated his proactive approach and willingness to help whenever questions arose. Simon at John D Wood sold our flat for us on Redcliffe Square (nearby to the Earls Court branch) and did an absolutely fantastic job holding our hand throughout the process and navigating a challenging market and complicated sale process. We are absolutely delighted and would certainly recommend them and are looking forward to hopefully also buying our new place via Simon and his colleagues.

We worked with Stuart on buying our place in Cobham and he was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. His personal approach meant that when there were delays in the chain, he kept very calm, managed the seller very well and didn’t put any pressure on us even though the chain was at risk. Very understanding, happy to help out where he could and someone we would definitely use to sell our place in the future. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I honestly can't thank the team at John D. Wood Esher enough.<br><br>Selling up can be incredibly stressful, but Alex made such a difference. She sold my property and stayed with me every step of the way through to completion. I was never passed from person to person or handed over to a back-office team – Alex took ownership from start to finish, and that continuity was invaluable.<br><br>What also really impressed me was the whole team. Whoever I spoke to always knew exactly what was going on, so I never felt like I had to repeat myself or chase for updates.<br><br>There were a few twists and turns along the way, but throughout it all the communication was excellent. Everything was handled with professionalism, but also with genuine kindness, understanding and support. It never felt like I was just another sale.<br><br>A special thank you to Michael as well. He never gave up on me, even when my property was with other agents. In the end, he and the team stepped in, got the house sold and saw it through successfully.<br><br>I'm so grateful to Alex, Michael and everyone at John D. Wood Esher. I had a very disappointing experience with a property marketed by John D Wood & Co. Estate Agents (Wandsworth).<br><br>Initially, Poppy Martin was very helpful and responsive throughout the viewing and application process, which gave us confidence in proceeding. However, after our offer was accepted, we were informed that all payments and tenancy arrangements would be handled directly by the landlord rather than the agency. This was never made clear at the outset.<br><br>We had already submitted our personal and financial information to the agent, including payslips, bank statements, passports, proof of address, P60s, and our guarantor’s personal and financial details. Despite this, the landlord requested the same documents again, followed by further demands for over a year’s worth of our guarantor’s financial records, including payslips, bank statements, and P60s.<br><br>We also discovered that deposits were to be paid to a business account managed by a third-party company, which had not been disclosed by the agent. When we requested evidence of their data protection compliance, we were initially provided with an expired certificate and generic documents, which further undermined our confidence.<br><br>At this stage, we no longer felt comfortable sharing additional financial information. As a result, our £311 holding deposit was retained. We felt pressured into providing excessive personal data under the threat of losing our deposit.<br><br>Overall, the process lacked transparency, involved repeated requests for financial and personal information, and left us feeling misled. This was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I hope future applicants are given clearer information before committing to the process.
