From the beginning of our process of selling and buying, we have been incredibly impressed with the knowledge, efficiency and genuine hard work of the staff at John D Wood in Southfields, and especially Lewis, Jack and Chris. They worked tirelessly to get both our sale and purchase through the sometimes very painful process to exchange and completion, keeping on top of the whole chain who were at different stages, and most importantly, keeping us informed with how things were going, where the bottlenecks were, chasing solicitors etc. And providing great advice using their knowledge of the market and area, plus experience in the industry to help us get over the line. It has been a real pleasure working with them and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We dealt with Chris Chambers at John D Wood during our recent house purchase and were very impressed - communication was excellent and Chris did a good job of keeping things moving along. Moving house is a stressful and sometimes frustrating process, so it always helps when you encounter people who are professional and competent : )

I worked with Romy and a few others at this agency to rent my flat and had an amazing experience! They were super friendly and lovely to work with, super fast in last minute viewings and offers, responded quickly and I was able to move into my flat within less than a week of putting an offer in. Overall, they made the process of putting in an offer and moving into my flat seamless and were incredibly friendly and helpful after the fact as well. Would definitely recommend working with the team here!

Cyntia is an absolute lifesaver!<br><br>My husband and I were let down by another agency with less than 24 hours’ notice, while trying to find a short-term rental for seven weeks. Cyntia literally saved the day by arranging this beautiful apartment for us, allowing us to move in the very next day!<br><br>It’s honestly mind blowing when you think about it. She went above and beyond to do everything she could to secure a place for us at such short notice. If it wasn’t for Cyntia and her team, I genuinely don’t know what we would have done.<br><br>Thank you so much!

Had an absolutely appalling experience with Ben the Head of Lettings and Molly the negotiator. We were misled and coerced towards making a certain offer. Even though an offer mad made there were lies and a complete lack of transparency in the way our offer was handled. The lies continued while trying to justify their position. A subject access request has been raised to prove their lies and a formal complaint is being made with progression to the ombudsman. Unfortunately we’re still left in the detrimental position without the property, with no responsibility or accountability being accepted by the agents. Take extreme care when dealing with lettings in this office.

We’re first time buyers and John D Wood were selling the home we were buying. We were shown our new home by George who was lovely. Julian in the team managed everything else, and the man is a saint. I was stressed to say the least between work and trying to buy a house in a short timeframe. No matter how testy I got, he was patient, friendly and supportive. I can’t speak highly enough of Julian, and when we eventually sell in the future he’ll be the first person we go to. Julian thank you so much for your amazing service.

Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer.
Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
