30th Dec 2023 (18 weeks ago)When selling our house recently, we had quotes from local estate agents and chose Fox and Sons because they actually seemed to care and take an interest in us and our house! We were glad we did as we thought they were fantastic, Beth, Leon and Matt were friendly, helpful, professional and always available to answer any of our questions. (No matter how random they were!) Leon kept us updated throughout the process and we definitely felt that we were in good hands. Whilst Fox and Sons may not be the cheapest option, it was definitely worth it and we would thoroughly recommend them

The process was very smooth from start to finish, especially impressive given a challenged trading environment and interest rate uncertainty. We achieved our target price with a very harmonious closing process. I think both the Buyer and Seller should equally feel good about the transaction, facilitated in no small part due to Savills Exeter. Of particular note was Chris Clifford's professionalism and exceptional communication skills that went above and beyond - a great comfort to my wife and me. Recommended.

15th Feb 2024 (11 weeks ago)This estate agency is absolutely terrible. As a person trying to buy a home they are rude on the phone and don’t seem proactive, or fussed. I think it’s the worst estate agency I’ve come across and it’s a shame because they seem the prominent agency in Dorset and Devon (perhaps they know they have the monopoly). I’m now searching for homes that are with other estate agents

Benjamin especially was extremely professional and super efficient and you always knew he was at the end of the phone to answer any questions you had. I highly recommend this agent 110% better than others I have used in the past.

8th Apr 2024 (25 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

We had so many problems, but Steve and Izzy were so helpful and friendly.They went out of their to help and solve problems, which should have been sorted by the solicitors. But they were taking so long that Steve got on the case. Never moving again ????.But we would definitely recommend the Bridport team .

Throughout the process they gave us information and explained options to us so that we could make decisions. I mostly spoke to Gemma and I really appreciated her understanding, honesty and the time she spent going through things with me. Another big positive was that both Gemma and Chris kept up to date with our situation and our buyers unlike the first agent we put our house on the market with. They also arranged more viewings. I recommend Taylors without hesitation.

22nd Apr 2024 (11 days ago)We were very pleased with the service we received from Alex Coates of Humberts whilst selling our house through them. If you are planning on selling your house and want a professional sevice from start to finish, I strongly suggest you use Humberts of Honiton. Better still, even if you have no immediate plans to sell, get in touch with Alex Coates and get to know him now, because when you do decide to sell, the whole process is far less stressful. That's what we did and and as the relationship was already established, any challenges that arose were dealt with in a much easier way thanks to Alex.
